Dr. Sammie Wang is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist with over 20 years of experience in taking care of children in South Orange County. She cares for children from infant to adolescence, specializing in patients with special needs. Dr. Wang and her staff are sensitive to the children’s needs and ensure the child has a safe and caring experience, providing services such as Nitrous Oxide, Oral Sedation, and IV Sedation for anxious or very young patients.

In 1999, Dr. Sammie Wang had the honor to be designated a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and to become a member of the College of Diplomates, after she successfully completed the rigorous examination by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Sammie Wang established her own private practice. Our office is geared towards giving children a positive dental experience. We provide a child-​friendly atmosphere with our warm and welcoming staff. Dr. Wang devotes herself one hundred percent to her patients, treating them like her own children. Dr. Sammie Wang received her Masters Degree in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Minnesota Dental School. She then taught dental students at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, University of Minnesota for 3 years until she moved to California. Dr. Wang and her family now live happily in Orange County. Besides dentistry, she loves golfing, traveling, cooking, singing, and dancing.

Dr. Wang is a great dentist and very considerate to your individual needs. I’m so sad writing this because we have to change dentist as she is not fully covered under our new insurance. She is straightforward and experienced. We came from another dentist in Los Angeles, who wasn’t bad, and she blew them out of the water with her level of expertise. She was able to see things that other dentist have missed! Like cavities and failed sealants!
You will have personalized care with her and a high degree of competency. Both my kids love her, it’s easy to schedule appointments (might have to leave a message), parking is easy and the office is mellow, and she listens and is knowledgeable. She doesn’t push unnecessary work on you and is very informative.

I have 2 small children and I used to work in the dental industry. Our office would refer Dr. Wang for all our pediatric needs. Children should really be seen in pediatric dentist office if they have any fears or phobias. My kids have been going here for 2 years and we couldn’t be happier. Dr. Wang is always professional and trust me my kids are a challenge when it comes to simple cleanings. She is always accommodating to see both my kids on the same day back to back, which makes it easier on my work schedule. Her staff is awesome too I have never had an issue getting appointments or changing them. Thank you Dr. Wang and team for being awesome. So far she has never ran behind either.

I am SO impressed with Dr. Wang! She was amazing with my toddler daughter, extremely patient and even managed to stop her mid-​crying by letting her touch and play with a couple dental tools and putting on cool sunglasses (my daughter loves wearing sunglasses).
Dr. Wang did a very thorough cleaning and she took her time cleaning my daughter’s teeth. She really knows how to make children (even toddlers) feel at ease and not be scared about going to the dentist. I highly recommend her as a pediatric dentist and only wish I started my daughter with her a year ago!

I just brought my 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son here. Dr. Sammie was wonderful and went above and beyond to make sure they felt comfortable. She knows what she is doing and recommends treatment only after considering how the patient might react (anxiety, etc.). In contrast to the last pediatric dentistry office we went to (where one person on staff was impossibly rude and the billing practices were highly questionable), the staff here are so friendly. The kids were distracted by/​enjoyed watching the children’s movie being shown on multiple TVs. What a refreshing change — I’m so glad to have found Dr. Sammie!

I just brought my 2 year old in for his first visit with Dr. Wang. He had quite a bit of iron staining and needed a good cleaning and polishing and Dr Wang did such a wonderful job. My little guy screamed like a banshee (he was just frightened, it wasn’t painful) but she was so patient and kind with him. I’m so grateful she was able to take care of his issues quickly regardless of how he reacted. Her staff was also very nice and accommodating. I’m so happy I found her on Unilocal.I definitely recommend her!

I can promise this is the BEST dentist in Orange County. She was my childhood dentist and I remember always loving her. I had BAD teeth as a child and I remember her always being so gentle and loving. So naturally, when I had children, I brought them to her. Not only did she remember me, but she gave me a huge hug. Still as loving as I remembered. My daughter is almost 4 and she actually didn’t want to leave. She said that
is «awesome». She actually had a great time, my son is 1 and I kid you not, did not cry one time. He loved all the art on the walls and toys to play with. We live 30 miles away and would never consider anyone else.

I have been going twice a year to Dr. Wang for the past 13+ years. I have 4 kids, my oldest is 18 and my youngest is 10 and I have been taking them to to Dr. Wang since they were very young. When they are young and had a cavity, I was always worried and over protected about them being afraid of the needles and drilling. Dr. Wang is a true professional and her technique and expertise with kids is so helpful. They were not traumatized and not afraid of coming to the dentist. My youngest has special needs and he is able to sit and go through an exam, X-​ray, cleaning without any problems. It is a very positive environment and very kid friendly. She has toys and video games so my kids like going there. We just had our last visit this December 2014 and we had NO cavities!

We have been going to Dr. Wang for 6 years. We have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Wang and her staff. I had a huge fear of the dentist as a child and did not want my children to feel the same. They look forward to going to the dentist. I have been bringing my kids to Dr Wang for over 10 years. She is the best. She never recommends anything that your kids truly don’t need. She takes her time and my kids love her. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. I would and do recommend her to everyone I know. I almost forgot, you never have to wait past your appointment time.

We first took our 3 year old son to Dr. Wang after he’d fallen and banged his front teeth. She was wonderful at calming him down and making him feel comfortable as she used her tools to look at the damage. We’ve had a long lasting relationship with her, our son is now 22 and our other 2 sons are still with her practice. We really have appreciated her dedication to our family and has always made us feel very welcome. The office staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the technicians and assistants always make our son’s comfortable with any procedure. I would highly recommend Dr. Wang as a pediatric dentist. The dental office is decorated with custom murals, arcade machines and best of all, TV’s mounted above the dental chairs!

Today was our first visit to Dr. Sammie. She was amazing. Her staff was so friendly. I was freaking out about my 18month olds teeth, her staff was able to get me in today, called and verified my insurance and polietly gathered the information over the phone she need from me. Whe we arrived we were greated with smiles and understanding. Right before we were to see the doctor my son’s diaper needed to be changed. I ran to the car to change him and when we returned we were greeted by name, including my 3 year old. She lit up in smiles that they knew her name. Dr. Sammie came out introduced herself and bent down to my son’s level and interacted with him before we ever went to the back. She explained to me what she wanted me to do and what she would be doing. She explained to me what she was doing and what she saw as she was looking in my son’s mouth. He was not the best patient, but it did not seem to phase her or her staff who was working with her. He even let her back in his mouth after he was out of the chair and done, for one more application. Her staff told my daughter who was waiting she did a great job and recieved a toy! It was great to see them interacting with her knowing that she could be a potential patient too. I would and do highly recomed Dr. Sammie! We will be seeing her all the way through my children’s childhood. We scheduled my daughter’s check up before we left and she was even excited to come back and be the patient!
