Tom’s Rooter Service

Had a kitchen sink backed up. Called Tom… said he’d be here within an hour. 40 minutes later he was out the door with sink running great for a reasonable price. Cheaper and quicker than «the smell good plumber» on the radio.

What can I say other then Tom (aka tomas) is a professional. I called him on a Monday and made an appt for him on tues. He gave me a time he would show up and he was promptly on time. Previously, I tried everything to unclog my drains in the main bathroom. I «snaked» the toilet, shower, sink and even went on the roof. Nothing worked! When Tom showed, he looked over the house to find the main drain line and then he went to the bathroom. I showed him what has been the problem by flushing the toilet– the shower gets back-​up/​overflow. Tom wanted to see the problem first hand. So he flushed the toilet several times and we heard the gargling sound it made. It started to to overflow again in the shower. Suddenly, everything flushed down the shower again. My plumbing problems were over. We had a good laugh about it cause all Tom did was flush the toilet several times. I was in disbelief because I did this well over a dozens times over the weekend when I was trying to fix it. He shook my hand and we called it a day. Job done! I offered to pay him something for coming out but he refused any compensation. He was just happy to see my plumbing working again.

Tom came out on a weekend to clear out a blocked pipe. He was up front and extremely helpful in explaining cost saving measures on how to avoid blockages going forward. by far and away the best experience I’ve had in rooter services. if you’re in the san gabriel valley you should be calling Tom first any time you need rooting done. he’s a one man shop but that’s the beauty of it — you know you’re getting Tom every time. thank you Tom!

Had a problem with my kitchen mainline. Called «the smell good plumbers» and was appalled at the job they did. Needless to say they were all about the up sell. Called Tom Friday morning and he was at my house in 30 minutes as promised. He rooted the mainline and was out in less than 15 minutes. If anyone has an issue with clogs, this is definitely the guy to call. He is prompt, honest, and very professional. Only wish I would have found him before I fell for the competitions stupid radio advertisement.

I made a call to Tom rooter services and set an appointment for 10am. Tom was surely professional and on time, I used other plumbing services and did not work. If I would of knew I would of use this services awhile back. Priced are reasonable and quality service at its best, he took his time unclogging the drain not rushing it at all. Any Unilocaler here reading reviews, not all will have the same experience.

He took awesome care of my girlfriend’s parent’s house. I called. He came. That’s it. He charged what he said he was going to charge and he was in and out in about 20 minutes. He also offered some advice as to how to keep bathroom and kitchen drains clear.

Tom did a good job explaining my problem. I’m Asian and grew up believing you try to fix it yourself or call an «uncle». For a year, every other month, this was an ongoing problem. But Tom came out, got to the root of it and explained why my other fixes wasn’t working. Been okay for almost 2 months now. Thanks!

We had a slow (stopped) drain in the shower and called Tom. He came out quickly, on the same day, and did the job very affordably. He gave us some advice to keep our pipes clear, and guaranteed his work.
We will definitely call him if we need this type of service again.

I found Tom here on Unilocal last night when my kitchen backed up. It was 5:30 pm. I reached Tom immediately and he said he’d be at our house between 8 – 9 am today. He arrived promptly at 8:40 am. He is delightful. A genuinely pleasant and professional man. He snaked the kitchen clean-​out and I let him know our shower often backs up, as well. He snaked that drain and told me that he can feel that there is something stuck in the pipe, which we might be able to vacuum out. Otherwise, it needs to be fixed by replacing the p-​trap under the shower. Since he couldn’t permanently fix the shower drain issue (though he did clear it temporarily by snaking it) he didn’t charge me. Fantastic! He charged us $ 70.00. Very good price for fast, pleasant and professional service. He also gave us advice on fixing my porcelain farm sink. :)
HIGHLY RECOMMEND (and I’ve tried a lot of plumbers!).

We called Tom for a clogged kitchen line and had a pleasant, straightforward experience. He accurately estimated the job at $ 70 and arrived in under an hour, removing his shoes before entering. After about 15 minutes with his motorized snake, our pipes were clear. No mess, no hassle.
Tom also checked a balky toilet fill valve for free, and explained how, if the problem recurred, we could replace it ourselves rather than pay a plumber. Tom had the manner of a kindly uncle and the service felt personal.

Prompt, professional and very reasonable. Keeping on file for future use. Definitely would recommend.

I called at 9:30am and he arrived in less than an hour. He used his strong roto rooter tool to push through the clog in the pipes under my house. Because he finished in just 30 minutes, he even charged me less than he initially quoted me for!

I called Tom after 5 on the Wednesday before July 4^th. He called me back and showed up in the 4^th of July and fixed our clogged sink. Responsiveness and ease of the transaction is why he gets 5 stars. Support this business!

Tom came by in less than 30 minutes and was able to fix my clogged drains and have my house back up and running in no time. He didn’t try to up sell me on things I didn’t need, and worked quickly so that I can get on with my day. Price was fair and competitive with larger companies, but he has the personal attention that small businesses provides. While I hope not to have to call him too often, I know now who to call when I have drain and plumbing issues in the future.

300 bucks to unclog a toilet. NO THANKS.

His suggestion since I disliked the price and not even asking what caused the problem was to just boil water and pour it. I told him TWICE I have no stove at the moment since I’m renovating and he said again to boil water. I proceeded to tell him again that I had no stove and his response was «okay well… I don’t know» He asked me twice if I tried a plunger? Like really bro… why would i call you?
DBAG! Told me he’d charge 70 in the early morning but if he had to leave his home now he’d need to charge me 300.00 now. Excuse me for wanting you to put you jeans on and turn ESPN off…

I have used Tomas Rooter services several times in the past few years and I have not been let down. Tomas the owner is PROMPT, CUSTOMER FRIENDLY, REASONABLE,
CLEANS UP, and I will use his services as needed in the future. He does not have a large company attitude. He came out soon after my call to him.

This bad review is EXTREMELY Suspicious to me and stands out like a reviewer with an attitude who got out of the bed on the wrong side.

Called Tom at 9:08am, he got here in 45 minutes. Our 2 bathroom’s toilet and shower were clogged. Tom went to look for our clean out then went up to the roof. He went up to our roof for the drain vent and snaked it for us. He was very professional. Price was reasonable. I would definitely use his service again.
