Mosaic Parking Structure

Very new structure… no complaints. Pretty much the same layout as the older one on South First. Very convenient for a Starbucks run. Free! Clean! Safe! Can’t believe it was finished so fast. A great improvement for the downtown area.

This definitely replaced the «free» valet parking at this very location provided by the City of Alhambra. Still doesn’t mean you’ll never see the meter-​maid or one of the Alhambra policeman checking out your car just because you chose to park at this newly built structure. Just like parking on the street with or without meters, you should always read every single sign.
On the first floor, most of the spaces are marked with 24 minutes only and the other spaces are handicap spaces. There were 2 marked for the officials. Regular spaces are on the second floor and above. I thought it was because this one car was parked reversed into the space instead of head-​in first but there weren’t any signs stating any rules on how to park. That’s when I wanted to be a little nosey to see what this ticket on the car was about. A 4 hour limit is also on the sign along with the tow company information. That’s what this citation was stated along with an envelope for your convenience. Basically, don’t park here longer than 4 hours. There are plenty of signs at each staircase and entrance to let you know overnight parking is prohibited. Even the tow company listed on these signs to let you know they mean it.
So what happens when someone is being responsible to be the designated driver or to give another person a ride home because they were in no shape to be behind the wheel? The car gets a nice trip to the impound yard? Thanks for the courtesy of moving the car somewhere else. Just like the movie, «Dude, where’s my car?». Look at the signs posted and call them to see if they have your car, dude…
What a pain in the ass! If you’re planning on drinking, park at the movie theatre structure. At least when you do get sober, your car will still be there.
