I wish I could give Maximum Realty 0 stars. This is probably the worst «management“company I have ever experienced in my entire life.
They are rude, incompetent and like to exercise their authority.
They never answer the phone, are slow to respond to any issues being fixed or resolved and won’t call you back. Margo, from the front desk is possibly the most ignorant and rude lady you will ever encounter. She is very snooty and acts as if she is better than everyone. IGNORE HER AT ALL COSTS!
Shortly after I moved in, I noticed things were broken and old. The sink started leaking so bad there was constantly a river running through my kitchen, the shower was moldy, there was no air conditioner, the heater was broken, Not to mention the walls are paper thin so every time the neighbors walked around upstairs I could hear everything. They never attempted to fix any of the issues despite numerous calls. Once I discovered that it is illegal to have tenants move into a complex with a broken heater, I contacted the City who then notified Maximum Realty and all of a sudden they started returning my phone calls and attempting to fix my heater. Only the heater, none of the other issues were acknowledged or fixed.
After a year at this complex, I got a 60 day notice, for no reason, to move out. This place likes to cycle through new tenants, This is not the first 60 day notice after completion of the year lease that I have heard about. If you move here, just know that you will probably be kicked out after a year because they have personal issues with you.
Out of $ 1350, I received $ 200 back from my deposit. $ 200 goes towards cleaning fees and they are blaming the remaining fees on «accumulative late rent». I have never turned in my rent late, they simply cashed the check ten days after I turned it in and blamed their irresponsibility on me. DO NOT MOVE IN OR THINK OF MOVING INTO THIS COMPLEX. They are crooks, thieves and scam artists. This establishment should be embarrassed to call themselves a management company.

These guys are crooks. No service, unprofessional and liars. They are never even in the office, do no repairs and are totally unintelligent.

DO NOT rent from these rude people. They are a useless group of people. Everyone in that office needs a new job field and take a step off their high horses. I lived in one of there apts for a very long year. They never replace this 1980s air conditioner that dripped condisation water all over the carpet. Guess what I told them about it. They bought a new one. Left a brand new air conditioner in my apt for a month then they picked up after they painted over a moldy spot on the ceiling and they never installed the new air conditioner. They said they will fix the heater thermostat. It was never looked at or even touched the whole year I was there. They have knowledge of all matters but never fixed them …

This is one of the worst management companies out there. I am renting a unit from them in Koreatown, and my experience with Dennis Smith has been disappointing. From the very start, I have been lied to, and the building has an obvious roach infestation. I asked very specifically if there was a roach problem and I was told no. Upon the walk through, I saw several, which the manager said he had never seen before. As I was signing the lease, he said he would have the unit sprayed, which delayed my move-​in date.
Maximum Realty is very rude, and seems reluctant to take action to get rid of their pest problem. Their solution was just to have me move out, rather than treating the unit. They clearly do not understand what a hassle it is to find an apartment, pack, and move.
Every time I’ve talked to Dennis, or his silent partner, Nick Nickrevish, he has been patronizing and doesn’t seem to think having cockroaches and bedbugs in an apartment is anything to be upset about.

If I could give less than a one star rating I would. Their receptionist, Margo, who is in charge of repairs, is the rudest person I have every come across in a customer service position. She doesn’t care about repairs, and will take her time putting orders in, meanwhile my garage door won’t open and my living room ceiling has a leak which is causing the property owner more damage to repair. I WOULD NOT recommend renting from any property they manage. Even though I love my apartment, if we didn’t have a good relationship with the owner, we would definitely be looking for a new apartment.
