Wait time:
Came in for a teeth cleaning on a Saturday and this place was empty. So you would think I would be out fairly quickly. WRONG ! I waited a total of 40 minutes before I was taken into the patient room, then I waited for another 10 minutes before the doctor actually came in for a total of 50 minutes of waiting. GREAT…
Pricing:
Since I don’t have dental insurance, this was the cheapest place around my area. It was $ 40 for teeth cleaning and 2 x-​rays. However, I learned my lesson and it is definitely worth the extra $ 20-​$ 30 to go somewhere else.
Teeth cleaning:
I am guilty of drinking lots of tea and coffee on a daily basis so I have a good amount of staining on my teeth. The doctor did not take the process seriously and just sped through the cleaning because there was another patient waiting. In the end, when I got home and looked in the mirror it looked like I did not even get a teeth cleaning!
Professionalism:
I work in the medical field and I feel like respect is a very important trait to have. This doctor obviously lacks this trait.
I am an ABC (American born Chinese) but I can speak Mandarin & Cantonese. However, during my visit here, I just decided to communicate purely in English. During my cleaning, the doctor and his dental assistant were conversating in Cantonese the entire time and making rude remarks about my dental hygiene. LUCKY YOU, I UNDERSTOOD EVERY WORD YOU GUYS SAID!
In addition to that, I felt that the doctor did a horrible job with the exam. He was very brief and just told me I had cavities? Which tooths & how many? I am not psychic you know!
Final Verdict:

Now even though I do not frequent Mr. Li as much as all my previous fellow Unilocalers did, I still consider him as one of the best dentists around the area. Funny and talkative, Mr. Li treats his customers as if they are his friends, a very nice interaction skill to lower his customers’ stress levels before performing any dental activities. The cost of $ 40 for a dental cleaning is very decent one, consider the fact that the service includes a package of both the dental cleaning and teeth x-​rays. He even gives you a brand new toothbrush right after my cleaning, a kindly act of promoting precise dental care. As a result, Mr. Li is a pretty legit dentist and I certainly would rank him over my previous ones.

I’ve been coming here for about 16 years but went to several other dentists along the way. Dr. Li is the nicest and best dentist of them all. He is really friendly and always in a good mood. I’ve never seen him cranky or upset. Every time I go he always chats with me and catches up. Like the other reviewers said, he doesn’t do anything that doesn’t need to be done. He doesn’t try to scam you or do any shady business. He is also very gentle and doesn’t hurt you. His teeth cleaning price has gone up though. It is now $ 40. When I was a little girl I came here for tooth pullings and fillings and now I come here for teeth cleanings. I came here to get my wisdom teeth pulled as well. Very clean place! He also gives you a free toothbrush with every visit!

My family has been going to Dr. Li for tooth cleanings and occasional fillings/​implants for nearly 10 years. He has a high standard of ethics, and never does or charges for any unnecessary procedure. The small clinic is spotless on the inside, and we can tell that he is very particular about hygiene. Dr. Li himself is cheerful, easy-​going, and loves to chat about life, history, and all sorts of things. We highly recommend him!

I’ve been going to him for about 20 years. He never does anything that doesn’t need to be done and his prices are very reasonable. I believe his cleanings including x rays are still only $ 35. I have to talk him into selling me cosmetic dental procedures. He is more of a general dentist that also does wisdom teeth extractions.
