Very good service, finished on time promised. Prices are competitive with other shops I called in the San Gabriel area. After the mini storm decided to tint my windows ³⁵⁄₂₀ and wrap the roof gloss black to get that pano roof look. Wanted my Lex to look different from other ones. More mods to come along. Owner is really nice, will take the time to explain the product and procedure. Recommended if your looking to tint or wrap, this is the spot.

Finally had my 2008 Honda civic tinted. Somehow I procrastinated tinting my windows for 7 years and have been baking in the Cali sun while driving lol.
Came here because it was the only place that didn’t require an appointment. I Unilocaled, called, showed up 30mins later and was services immediately. Overall process took an hour. The Home Depot was across the street so I went browsing over there while they worked on my car. There is a sofa and tv if you wanted to wait there though. I paid $ 160 for the basic film that covered all 4 car doors and the back windshield. Price is pretty fair. Trust me, I’ve called around and most places averaged $ 200. The brand they used was Johnson (I think) I had wanted 3m but they didn’t carry it. I was promised that the film wouldn’t bubble or turn purple and if I had any issues to return and they’ll fix for me.
It’s been a month and so far everything looks legit. Basic film doesn’t keep the heat out but it helps hide all the junk I keep in my car from people who walk by lol.
Pretty happy with my experience here. Only thing that could have been bad (very bad) was a razor blade being left behind in my back seat. I don’t have kids or passengers in the back very often so no one was injured but can you imagine sitting down on a razor blade? Or like jumping into the car not paying attention and getting cut with a razor? *shivers* But since no harm was done I don’t really mind.
Place was pretty straight forward. Didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need or services I don’t want. Would recommend.

After purchasing a brand new Mustang on 10÷2÷15, my man asks me, «What do you think about stripes down the middle?» I concurred.
It didn’t take long for him to search for 3M authorized dealers in our area. He found two dealers he liked. I chose Kooltint in Alhambra.
On 10÷6÷15, I called Bernie at around 3:30 p.m. to see if he’d take a look at my husband’s car and provide him with a quote. My husband drove there immediately. Got the quote. Said Bernie was a cool guy with reasonable prices.
The next day (¹⁰⁄₇) I scheduled an appointment for the stripes for the following day (Thursday) and a clear front end mask on Friday. For this reason, the car stayed in Alhambra overnight on Thursday. My husband had an anxiety about this, but it’s a decent area and the car was taken good care of.
I wasn’t there for the pick-​up, but for the drop-​off I was. Bernie is indeed a cool guy. His shop is pretty clean. He walked over the car to ensure there wasn’t any damage before we proceeded. On our way out, he said he was taking it to a nearby car wash, but asked for permission to do beforehand.
If you’re wanting 3M stripes, consider this (& I’m stealing this from my husband): it’s like a tattoo. No matter how good the artist is, there will be slight imperfections. You have to be extremely detail-​oriented to see these. Most importantly, don’t worry about the bubbles that may appear a few days afterwards. They will smooth out on their own or Bernie will tell you how to take care of them.
We are going back sometime soon to add stripes on the sides of the car. That’s how amazing they look. The clear mask seems to be very much worth the investment especially on the screwed up streets of L.A.
Kooltint does a variety of other work. Check them out & ask for a quote. If you’re at all familiar with these types of post-​factory installations, then I think you’ll find the pricing to be extremely reasonable.

Thanks to Bernie and Jamie for there great work and attention to detail, Bernie is a perfectionist and Jamie is very patient doing the job right. I had my 2015 Corolla S tinted and also a visor on the windshield, also Bernie wrapped the front bumper and side mirrors with clear protection mask, a must have with this model of car. Bernie has been in this business for a long time and that alone speaks for itself. Thanks again Guys

I recommend Kooltint to all of my friends! My family has had three cars tinted by them. I dealt with Bernie who was extremely accommodating. He went above and beyond to make sure that my car would be ready when I needed it. The transaction was simple and easy and my car came out looking great!

Did a good job on my car. The tint was more expensive than I am used to, but I did get the higher quality heat blocking version.

Bernie is the Buddha of the car wrap. I expected Kool Tint to be good as Bernie was recommended to me by an expert tuner shop that I trust but I was still relieved and impressed by how positive my experience was. I have a brand new BMW 228i M Sport and wanted a tint for both aesthetic and practical (UV protection) reasons. I had never done this before but Bernie explained it very well and eventually I went for a clear wrap, too. I am very happy with the quality of both the work and the product in both cases. The only reason I am not giving Bernie five stars is because I feel I need to see how the wrap and the tint deal with a few weeks of every day driving (and their first hand wash) but I do not anticipate any problems.

Heat resistant he even has a display how it works it’s amazing $ 300 for my nissan versa… That G5 wanted $ 500!!! Efff that man. I have been waiting a long time to get stripes applied to my car. I planned on going with the twelve inch stripes. I contacted Kooltint and spoke with the owner (Bernie). He informed me that he was able to apply twelve inch stripes on my car for a reasonable price. I made an appointment for next week.
Upon arrival of the business (Kooltint), I made contact with Bernie. He informed me that he was mistaken and that he only had ten inch stripes. I just wanted stripes so bad that I stated ‚“No worries, that is fine.“
I was confident that my vehicle was going to look outstanding because this establishment had great reviews.
He informed me that it would take a while and he offered to give me a ride; however, I informed him that I would rather just wait here. That was very nice of him.
I waited in a room which had a television, water dispensary machine, and a couch. While I was watching tv, he started working on the car.
From time to time, I checked up on his progress. I was liking my car after he barely applied the stripes on the hood of the car.
After several hours, he finished the stripes. I was excited to check out my new ride. I observed the stripes right above the chin spoiler were not cut properly. I was able to see some of the red because he didn’t cut it straight. I told Bernie about it and he fixed it up for me which made me happy. I inspected the rear of the vehicle and observed a fold/​misplaced stripe on the back stripe. I told Bernie about it and he stated that he didn’t see it. Nevertheless, he ended up retouching it. At this point, I knew that Bernie did not care about perfection.
This should have been a red flag to not return to get the side stripes done on my car.
A week later I returned to get stripes applied to the side of the vehicle. I told him the design I wanted and he started working on the car. I waited in the waiting room.
After couple hours, the car was done. I exited the waiting room and inspected my vehicle. Everything looked good so I thanked him and left the location. I ended up eating at a restaurant near the place with my girlfriend.
I noticed that there were air bubbles on the side stripes and the on the edge of the stripe, it was not applied properly so it was dangling. I informed Bernie about this and he told me to bring it in. I noticed that the driver side stripe was not straight but I didn’t tell him about it.
Once I brought it in, I showed it to him and he fixed it.
At this point, I was a bit frustrated and disappointed.
I forgot whether it was couple days later or couple weeks later but I couldn’t stand looking at my car’s driver side (stripe not being straight). I ended up contacting Bernie again about this situation and then I ended up getting it fixed a week later.
All in all, Bernie is a great guy and he is all about customer service and that’s awesome! However, I was not pleased with his work on applying stripes. Perhaps, Bernie may be great and a perfection with tinting or other things, but applying stripes on a car is not one of them. He also forgot to finish the stripe on the rear right below the license plate. I would rather pay someone else to finish the work than return to the location again. It’s just old and tiring.
As a law enforcement officer, I attempt to conduct a thorough investigation the first time to prevent from getting in trouble/​fired or re conducting the investigation/​case which takes up time and resources. I wasted my time and money by having to return to the business get my stripes re-​touched. The reason why I decided to pay more money compared to other businesses that quoted less was because I thought that this business was capable of perfecting the job based off their reviews.
I would not recommend people to come here for stripes. Maybe you will have a better experience with Kooltint, who knows. Good luck.

This review is long overdue. I purchased my BMW e82 last August and the first order of business was blacking out all of the obnoxious chrome. I searched around for a bit and decided to go with Kooltint.
I definitely made the right choice. They vinyl wrapped the chrome around the windows in about an hour. It was quick, inexpensive and quality work.
Six months and multiple washes later, the vinyl wrap is still in perfect condition!
I would absolutely recommend Kooltint to anyone who wants to get their cars vinyl wrapped.

I feel bad even writing this review and I have no doubt this place does a great job tinting car windows, but just NOT car wrapping.
About a month ago I brought my BMW 335i white here to get the roof wrapped glossy black, and based on the way Bernier explained it I had a little doubt with the experience and method but gave it a shot anyway. After couple of hrs returning to pick up our ride we can tell the bubbles, the wraps behind the moonroof frames were off and the job was just not done properly. The film was even cut short and the windshield rubber was cut/​damaged due to forcing it to the finish line. I calmed myself down and gave it 30 days to see how this will play out, and today the corner of the moonroof wrapped started to peel due to the poor cutting or install.
A week later I hired a windshield guy to get the whole windshield rubber replaced and paid him $ 150 during the NYE week and called it a day. Overall 3 star is the most I can award, sorry.

every time i get job on my cars always satisfying. Bernie the owner is very open to your own ideas but i’d rather go with his. He is in the business of satisfied guarentee, so with this said i give thumbs up on this business you can’t go wrong i recommend this to all those want a job well done this is the place… Thanks Bernie!

Great work and reasonable prices, Bernie was very patient in explaining everything to me, even when I called multiple times for clarification. What I thought was great was that he dropped me off at the library because I needed to get some work done while I waited, and then came back to pick me up after my car was finished — excellent customer service! I would definitely come back again for any future work on my car.

Bernie is great! I brought my car in for a standard tinting and the guys did an excellent job. I’ve had zero issues with their work and would recommend them to anyone!

So here’s the situation:
I was ready to take both my cars to get the windows tinted as the sunshades I bought proved to be useless in shielding the sun from my poor infant son who was being blinded in the backseat every morning on the way to daycare.
I called around the SGV looking for a local tint shop who could do the job right, quickly, and at the right price.
First up was G5 Tint Shop. I called this place and a girl answered and quoted me $ 170 for the entry level tint job, and something outrageous for the upgraded heat resistant tint. I asked her if they would give me a discount since I was tinting two cars, and she replied that they didn’t do multiple car discounts and that I would have to schedule something two weeks in advance– uh, I’m sorry, this is a straight window tinting job we’re talking about here, nothing proprietary, and I’m not rearranging my schedule two weeks in advance to get my windows tinted. If anything, you should be offering me a courtesy discount for waiting 2 weeks to fit THEIR schedule to tint TWO cars.
Across the street was a newer shop, Tiger Tint. Their Unilocal reviews seem to be hit or miss. I gave these fellas a holler, and the dude was excited at the opportunity to tint two cars from the same customer and offered a nice discount. He told me to give him a call next week and check his availability. When the following week came around, I was about to call them and looked them up on Unilocal again to get their number. That’s when I noticed a new review some chick posted with a picture of her passenger seat slashed with what was likely a window tinting razor on her new G37. The reviewer said when she contacted these busters about it, and they gave her the runaround and denied it. Now here’s the thing, is there clear cut proof that these guys did it? Nope. But that’s where common sense comes into play– why the hell, and how the hell else would a seat from a new car get slashed like that? I highly doubt it was an elaborate scam the homegirl was trying to pull here. That review was enough to scare me away from these guys cause there were other reviews that mentioned careless work that resulted in damage to their cars too.
When I called Kooltint, I spoke with Bernie and he said he could tint both cars the same day and would give me a multiple car discount. That’s all I needed to hear, as his Unilocal reviews pretty much speaks for itself. Before coming to the shop, I thought the heat reducing tint was a gimmick and bullshit– I mean, I’d need to see some evidence that it worked before spending almost twice as much, right? Well, Bernie did give me a demonstration with a heat lamp and the two different kinds of tint. I was amazed at how much heat the upgraded tint could keep out! I ended up tinting one car with the upgraded tint, and the other car with the standard tint. The job was done beautifully and is covered from bubbling for life.
As if you needed more reassurance, Bernie told me he’s been in business for over 25 years, and he does the decals for the Alhambra Police Department cop cars. He’s a cool cat, and you can tell he stands behind his work– thanks Bernie!

I had KoolTint do a clear bra, tint, and black vynil on the roof of my 2015 WRX, they were very knowledgeable and professional. Bernie was very helpful and he stands behind his work, I would not hesitate to recommend KoolTint to my friends and family.

When I first brought in my car, it kept getting pushed back, but was eventually finished about a week later. I was mostly pretty happy, but the wrap started to peel even after just a few days. Less than a year with the wrap and I wasn’t really satisfied and wanted to remove it.
I got in contact with the owner and tried to schedule some time to remove and get the work done, but he was slow to respond till eventually he stopped replying. I went to another shop down the street that basically how do I put this… said the work was… off. They had a quick removal and had everything done with in two business days I couldn’t be more pleased with the job!

Ok. hopefully I wasn’t the Only one. but I found this place a bit hard to find. I called & spoke to Bernie, he as real cool about it & didn’t seem to mind me calling to tell me where they were at (my gps was not working)
There is no big sign along the street. so just pull in left.
Anywho. Robert is very knowledgeable about his stuff. Nice guy too. Good customer service :) I’d Totally recommend them.
I’m getting my car done on Friday, can’t wait!
