My car had been making a high pitch squeaking noise for a few years. It started as a faint sound so I didn’t bother with it. As time went on I had to change the belts then later the clutch as part of the maintenance. I thought those maintenance works would get rid of the noise. But eventually it got to be quite annoying. I thought it was the belt again, either tension or glazed. As I started talking to people about it, we thought it was the throw-​out bearing or input bearing based on the symptoms. Ultimately, I decided to get it checked out. I ended up at this place because of ratings and convenience. Having an idea of what could be wrong, I was expecting it to take a long time (which I didn’t have since I was only visiting) and cost a small fortune. But I was surprised, not only was it quick but they didn’t charge me a dime! It was actually lack of lubrication in the shift forks. The tech gave me a call and told me he lubed it the best he could by opening the boot and that the noise would appear again because to do a proper job the transmission had to be taken apart. Well, no noise! Too bad they’re closed on Sunday and Monday because I wouldn’t mind taking it back here.

Great service and an excellent experience! I needed a smog check and oil change on a Saturday, so I called and Nick said I could come in a half hour. They were too busy to do the oil change, but I couldn’t wait to smog so I went for it. The smog check took about 20 minutes, and afterwards Nick said they could do my oil change if I was willing to wait. Once they started that only took about 20 min too. They also detailed my car (the front anyways … my backseat is a little hoarder-​status). $ 40 for the smog check, and $ 35 for the oil change. All around, very happy, and definitely planning on coming back in the future.

It’s hard to find a super honest mechanic and Kerechuk is it! I’ve been coming here for years and they have always been great. They will work with you on managing and staggering your repairs instead of pushing you to do everything at once.
I once had a cracked engine block on my Civic and was stranded in SD. A mechanic down there recommended the whole engine replaced for about $ 3,500-$ 4,000. I called Natalie at Kerechuck for a second opinion and she researched the situation for me. Turns out there is a service bulletin out for ’06-’09 Civics for cracked blocks. I took it in into a Honda dealer and got a new engine block for free. Many thanks to the great folks at Kerechuck!

I live in Ktown and drive here just for an oil change. It’s so rare to find a mechanic that you can trust 100%. Everyone there is great and really take the time to get to know you and your car. Highly recommended.

Absolutely the best — saved us a ton of money and not the first time. Daughter had a problem with her car, mechanic she got referred to recommended extensive repair with a hefty $. To be sure I had her call Nick who listened to what happened, asked a few questions, gave us an ordered set of possibilities and explained his different diagnosis — no pressure. I had her bring the car back home, took it to them for review and repair. The bill for repair, minor service AND a smog check ended up being about 10% of the other quote — car runs fine again. We don’t go to Kerechuk just for the savings ~ We go there because you can always count on honesty, good service and a practical approach to repairs.

Absolutely the best quality car repair, along with honest people charging a fair price. We know our cars are maintained to there best performance. The bonus is they are so nice and efficient!!! Especially Billy and Natalie!!!

It’s nice to be able to trust someone with your car. Most girls hate going to an auto repair shop, and I am no exception.
I came across Kerechuck purely by luck. I read the Unilocal reviews and I see that this place doesn’t post fake reviews. Yes, we know fake reviews from real reviews.
I went there because my brake was making a noise after I changed my tires at this other idiotic place. Kerechuck couldn’t fix it right away since the rotor was too hot. They did fix it temporarily for free though.
I came back again and after that and Kerechuck fixed the problem. I am a regular by now and Kerechuck is officially my favorite auto repair at the moment.
It’s amazing how they remember me by name on my second visit.
Nick, the main guy, always greets me by name and educates me on car repairs. He gives me advices but he is not pushy. He doesn’t recommend services I don’t need.
Ron is always the first person you see in the morning. He flashes his smile when he gives you the number and tag for your car key.
Natalie is a sweetheart. She is friendly, helpful, and makes you feel welcome.
The other mechanic guy is helpful too. I asked about the WiFi and he made sure someone followed up with me. Nick approached me and gave me the password in less than a minute.
The waiting area is super small and the small TV is never on. They have 4 chairs, a massage recliner, and tons of magazines. I love keeping up with my Kardashian stories because they have the latest gossip magazines. I love writing my Unilocal reviews there too; the WiFi is pretty fast. You can also watch your car from the waiting area.

This review is for the smog service only. We had a Saturday appointment, but our schedule opened up on Friday so we called and they found a time to see us a day early. Denis Kerechuk does the smog service here. We were taken in on time, service was completed swiftly (with a smile), paperwork was filled out and Denis even cleaned the windshield! Fee for our smog was $ 40, we were quoted the fee in advance and there were no surprises (other than the clean windshield). This place is on my list as a good place to go. Two thumbs up from me.

Came here because my air conditioning system was blowing out hot air. The dealer guy told me that I would be charged 150.00 for them to put some freon with dye in my cooling system then once it runs out they can check to see if there are leaks using black light. I didn’t want to spend 150 bucks so I took my van to Kerechuk. The receptionist said it would cost me 60.00 for them to diagnose the problem and if I decide to have them fix the problem that money would apply toward the entire bill. I thought 60 was the better deal than 150 so I agreed. After 2 hrs. wait, I was told that they would fill freon with dye in my car just as what the dealer guy had told me earlier. Beside the 60 bucks, I now had to pay for the freon which at the end, I ended up paying Kerechuk 120 bucks. I was not happy about this. I would have gone back to the dealer if I knew that I would only save 30 bucks bringing my car here. The receptionist should have given me the full scenario instead of just part of it. Not sure if she intentionally did this or was not capable of explaining the complete procedure to her client.
I won’t be back.

I have ALWAYS RECEIVED great service here! I have had, oil changes, AC work, diagnostics, brake checks … and from what my experiences have been with Kerechuk, everything always comes back in working order. Pair that with the exceptionally professional and nice people who work there (Natalie, Nick, Ron) and you definitely have a winning team.
I just wanted to stop by Unilocal and say «Thank you» for the breakdown of services you put together for me on my last visit. It sucks having to ‘do’ everything at once but Nick helped make it more realistic and budget friendly with his recommendations.

The people here are incredibly friendly and nice. Definitely an honest and trustworthy place, if that’s what you’re looking for.
Appointment isn’t required, but preferred. They are usually almost always busy. I would usually leave my car there for the whole day. In the morning appointments, there’s usually a line.
I would definitely recommend you call for an appointment!

A great place to get a service for your Honda. I would recommend making an appointment specially on a Saturday because the line gets long way before they open on Saturday morning. Their staff are very nice and friendly.

The best care a Japanese car can get I have been coming here for going on 20yrs! Every car in my family is serviced here! Great care and honesty from the owners and workers! You can’t go wrong bringing your car here!

I usually go here for my oil change. Prices are fair but service is beyond great. They don’t need to try to rip people off because people keep going back. You can make an appointment but it’s still first come first serve. They are open on sat and close to food and dessert while you wait.

Dude, this place sucks yo.
I rolled up here bright and early on a Saturday morning to get my check engine light fixed. A local shop did a diagnostic which produced a P0411 reading.
A friendly blonde woman asked what I needed, and I told her I wanted to get my check engine light issue fixed. I showed her the photo I took of the reading on my iphone. She told me she needed to hook up the reader again to confirm the reading and that it would cost me $ 85 for her to do that reading again.
This is total bullshit. Why would I need to pay for this diagnostic when I already know what the issue is?
Fortunately she told me they were booked up for the day, so I couldn’t get my car fixed here even if I wanted to.
On the way home I found another highly rated shop on Unilocal located on Valley Blvd– California Nissan. They pretty much work on all cars, not just Nissans. Anyways, I roll up and the dude hooks up the meter, gets a reading, and 4 hours and $ 120 later, I get my car back and the problem is fixed.
Long story short, I have no idea how Kerechuk gets 5 stars on Unilocal.No one likes to get nickled and dimed and that’s the tone they set right away when you step foot here!

I went here for a smog check & the customer service was awesome. Nick was easy to work w/​over the phone & I was able to drop my car off without any hassle.
Everyone is really friendly & they are all really knowledgable — a nice combo for those of us that aren’t as car savvy.

This review is for oil change service only.
I tried to get oil change done before I went to work that day, so I went to HH Motor Service down the road. They didn’t have a singleparking space, and was busy getting a car out of their garage for 15 minutes. So I left to come to Kerechuk.
I called before I drove to make sure they were not too busy. Natalie was very professional on the phone. As soon I pulled into their garage. I was greeted and asked basic info to log into the system.
My car was ready in half and hour. I was also given new customer discount. Quick and friendly service. Highly recommended if you have a Honda that needs a quick oil change.

Honest, extremely helpful, experts in Honda’s. Make them your mechanic hands down!
I talked to Nick a couple times on the phone inquiring about having a 2009 Honda Accord I was thinking of buying inspected to make sure it was good to go. I haven’t actually gone to Kerechuk yet, and may not since I live in Glendale, but one phone call I asked him about Honda Accords and concerns about buying one over 100k, and any maintenance that could arise. He was so extremely helpful freely offering information on what I should look for (4 cyl vs 6 cyl), that there are no timing belts in 4 cyl Accords so no $ 1000 bill every 100k miles, that he personally has a 2005 Honda with 190k miles and it’s had no major problems, and basically put my mind at ease that I can definitely buy one with higher mileage. I am very thankful for his help and friendliness, which can be hard to find around L.A. I haven’t even been a customer yet and he was willing to talk and answer all my questions!
Bottom line, if you live anywhere near Kerechuk Motor Service make them your mechanic. I wished I lived closer for the sole reason of having a mechanic I can trust!

I’ve never gone comfortably to a mechanic ever until I started going to Kerechuk. Before I’ve always felt that I was being taken advantage of, especially car dealers who are very pushy in making you replace certain parts to an older vehicle. I’ve been going to Kerechuk for the last 2 years now, and I totally agree with the 5-​star reviews! Price is very reasonable (radiator/​spark plug replacements). I don’t get the same feeling that I get from other mechanics/​car dealers. They seem very honest, and I’ve never felt pressured to get more work done to my 2000 Honda CRV. With Kerechuk, maybe I can get 100K more miles!
