This is my favorite statue EVER. My boyfriend and I make regular pilgrimages to visit the Shorb shrine after we lunch at the neighboring Love Birds Café.
The garden, while easily missed, is lovely. According to one visitor I talked to, «The fountain’s pretty cool. But it is nothing in comparison to the statue of the statuesque James T. Shorb — my idol, and dare I say… god.»
I highly recommend this garden if you have an extra five to 10 minutes to spend on 1st street in Alhambra.
