Don’t be fooled by their 60-​day price guarantee advertised on their website. I came in to buy a dryer i saw advertised for 369 on their website. When I ask for that item they told me it’s 499. I showed her the the Howards website so she matches that. I checked on the Home Depot website while I was there and the total price was cheaper then theirs but they wouldn’t price match it. They came up with some excuses instead. No wonder why it’s always empty here… False advertisement and bad customer service. Make sure you do your homework with the prices before coming here!

Went in to buy a washing machine yesterday for my mother in law. Was greeted by Michael (Asst Manager). First thing we told him was we needed a basic washing machine for an older lady on a fixed and limited income. The first machine he showed us was $ 800. He obviously didn’t listen to what we said. From that moment on, I no longer trusted him and felt I needed my guard up for thr rest of the purchase, to ensure i wasn’t taken advantage of. We ended up getting a Maytag that was normally $ 649 and he stated it was on sale for $ 549. I pulled up Howards website that showed it was on sale for $ 378. I showed him and he stated that was probably after a rebate. it wasn’t. He hesitantly honored the posted price online. He then tried to sell us a high efficiency detergent as these machines can only use this type. After review at Target. turns out most detergents these days are already high efficiency. Almost got fooled again. Then came the extended warranty. They trick u by posting how many years it is for and the price. The years posted include the already given 1 year warranty by the manufacturer… so buying 3 years is 3 years total not the 1 year manufacturer then 3 years extended. Then add on $ 50 delivery/​install and another $ 30 for hose hook ups. I hate sales people and will probably stick to the Howards in Glendale.

Carra worked with me every step of the way until the issue with both my washer and dryer was resolved. I will continue to buy from Howard’s, and especially Carra many years to come. Cheers!

DO NOT GO TO HOWARD!!! They have horrible costumer service. If you get the warranty their service techs can only come out during the week before 4pm and you can’t set up a time they inform you of what time they will be able to come by. Horrible experience I will never go back to them.

When we bought the LG LFX31825ST fridge and we bought with the extension 4 yrs warranty. The salesman told us 1 yr manufacturing warranty and after that the 4 yrs extended warranties will jump in.
Today is just 4 yrs and 3 months totaled and we called Howard customer service and they told us is just out of warranty.
I ask them why you told us we will have total 5 yrs now you said four?
Also I ask them why no one send us for a renewal? So she give me the 1−800−543−8890. That the third party insurance company.
The insurance company told us is out of warranty and I ask same question why you guys didn’t send us renewal? She told me the company Howard did not provide them the address so we can’t send out.
So our $ 3k+ LG FRIDGE can’t buy any renewal warranty and can’t get repair.
Never going back to Howards TV & Appliance!!!

My parents have been shopping at Howards for years, and now that I’m learning the family business, I go there too. We always have great service, especially when we get out favorite sales associate, DC. DC always gives us great deals and is so friendly and helpful. No complaints here. Always had a great experience at Howards.

It’s no secret Howards is at the bottom of the food chain when it comes to appliance stores, and this store in particular goes above and beyond shitty customer service. If you like being hung up on repeatedly and never getting the information or product you want, then Howard’s is the place for you.
There’s a reason you rarely hear people say, «Oh I bought it at Howards.»

First experience at Howard’s made me feel really uncomfortable. Not really in a bad way… but the sales associate just didn’t let us walk around on our own. My parents and I came in to compare their prices and set up with that of Best Buy. When we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly sales associate. He helped show us to the TVs and we said we just wanted to look around. He hovered for a bit then guided us to the most expensive on they had on display. He continued to insist on selling his TVs and that the prices were the best. We really didn’t want to waste his time as we knew we weren’t planning on making s purchase that day, but he insisted on hovering and pushing us to buy from him. It wasn’t a bad experience, they just made me really guilty.

We bought two (2) HDTVs and a 65 inch stand (all brand new in the box — no open boxes or floor models… paid full price) last week. Asked salesman if he matches price with proof… he said yes… showed him photo of same model from Costco… said he can’t as last digit is different… says Costco gets their own TV supply from Samsung with modified model number so Howards does not have to match price. Salesperson took his time to check with warehouse to make sure items are in stock and ready for delivery. Took our order and set up our delivery. Delivery came early on day promised. Delivery men brought in stand ALREADY ASSEMBLED… and SCRATCHED!!! Told delivery men that we bought brand new stand in the box and we were going to put it together as told to us by salesman («stand is easy to put together — just like IKEA)…showed copy of delivery slip with HAND WRITTEN «OB» (out of box) on slip. Delivery men were shown copy of our PAID receipt showing all new items, Deliver men called the warehouse manager and was told by her (mgr) that this is the last one, a floor model that is scratched… you can talk with salesman and re-​order on in the box… but don’t know when it will come in. Warehouse manager hee-​hawed around and asked what we wanted to do… what percent discount we wanted… etc. Called back to complain to store manager… said he would look into matter and get back to us — we are still waiting… since last week Thursday. Called to inform salesman of situation… initially seemed like he did not know what was going on then said, «You got your $ 82 discount for pre-​assembly” — how did he know the discount we got if he had no knowledge of the situation? Very fishy. Maybe a call to the BBB is in order. Better watch out when you buy NEW ITEMS and get some scratched used item. Very disappointed in the unethical manner Howard’s salespeople are displaying… BUYER BEWARE. This is the first time this has happened and we have been buying from Howards for the past 30 years.

My experience with buying my refrigerator was fine my issue is with the delivery and how they tried to scam me. I had paid for the refrigerator, delivery, and installation plus the hook up of the ice maker. When it came time for set up the guys said that there was a separate part we needed in order to finish the job. They said they just happened to have one in the truck they could sell me for $ 20. I paid them but after they left it didn’t seem right to me that Howard’s would set up installation without selling me all the parts. I called and found out that I had in fact already paid for the part and the delivery guys were supposed to GIVE it to me not sell it to me. Once I made the store aware of this the guys came back right away to return my money saying they hadn’t realized we had already paid for it. That’s funny since they told their supervisor we gave it to them as a tip. TOTAL SCAM from somebody representing the Howard’s company. Who would want these types of dishonest people coming into their home? Never again!
And in a regards to Howard’s response below they can deny ill intention all they want but all the pieces and inconsistent stories do not add up to an innocent mistake. What driver would sell extra parts out of their truck and pocket the cash, no receipt? Then tell my husband and I he read the invoice wrong and his supervisor that we have him the money as a «tip». Makes no sense! Instead of making excuses you would do better to fix your problems starting with getting rid of dishonest employees!

if you go to the store to meet with the name dave he was very annoying and rude… bad service…

what happenned to this well respected small company? went in to buy new kitchen appliances. very first item selected from their website-​i was told they do not carry the brand. asked why on site? «thats just the way mfrs do things. tried two other major items. both on backorder with no idea of arrival.
was very angry and diappointed. been a customer for 45 +yrs. no more «bait & switch» for me

I have shopped at Howard’s when it was at the San Gabriel location for the longest time. I didn’t realized they moved into a newer location in alhambra. The new Alhambra location is more spacious with a much bigger showroom in a wider open area! Parking is plenty and much more spaces than the San Gabriel location. They seen to have more variety than the old location.
A salesperson helped me immediately as soon as I walked into the door. I knew exactly what I wanted and he made the transaction quick and hassle! Went in and came out in less than 20 mins. I’m glad the model I wanted was in stock. I was at Home Depot earlier and I would have to order the dish washer online and it would take 2 weeks to arrive! My dishwasher broke and I couldn’t that long. The prices at Howard’s is also more competitive than Home Depot! I will come here first for appliances in the future. It’s close by my house too! Now I know where to go!

Although we didn’t buy our last washer & dryer at Howard’s, I have been a long time customer. My last washer & dryer, when we purchased them 5 years ago were supposed to be top of the line from Bosch. Nope! The washer started to sound like a Bullet train on the spin cycle about a month ago. I got it diagnosed from Bosch’s authorized repair company & it was going to cost over $ 1,000.00 to repair. The drum & bearings would need to be replaced along with the moldy rubber gasket. We decided to just buy a new one which isn’t an easy task. Every brand seemed to have issues in on-​line reviews. Everyone I spoke to said, «They just don’t make the like they used to.» We ended up at Howard’s & bought an LG washer. It’s Howard’s 70^th Anniversary so it was on sale. They also had a water rebate for $ 150.00. The washer was delivered the day after our old washer died for good. Their delivery, if you are the first on their list, comes a half an hour before the early part of your delivery window. They are on Japanese time. The new washer looked great but the old dryer next to it was a different height & was looking a little shabby. At the same time my husband found a cheaper price on-​line for the washer that we bought. We went back to see Ray about the Howard’s price match & decided to buy the matching dryer. The dryer was set to be delivered between 8:00 — 11:00am the next day but they came at 7:30am. I love it! The guys were so quick & friendly too. I’m crossing my fingers & toes that these last more than 5 years. So far, both the washer & dryer are great.

I wish I could give ZERO stars. I am living in a nightmare that is dealing with Howard’s management and delivery. I ordered a stove and a fridge for delivery this past Sunday. They brought the stove just fine but when it came time to deliver the fridge the delivery man discovered it was damaged. It was 8am. I asked for them to re-​deliver that day as I would be home all day and was transferred to David at the warehouse. There is ZERO communication between the warehouse and the actual store. David had a team ready to redeliver a new fridge that day but SOMEONE (Sabino) at the store denied a same day delivery because they would be charged. Instead they had to inconvenience ME by rescheduling a delivery for today. The new fridge got delivered, I signed and left my house for work as I was already late due to the inconvenience of the rescheduled delivery. I get home tonight with groceries, ready to finally put this fridge to use and notice the whole entire inside of the door is NOT sealed and falling apart. I immediately call Sabino at 7pm. He is «with a customer» for two hours (?) and calls me at 9pm to say he wouldn’t be able to redeliver tomorrow (which I didn’t want anyway because I can’t miss work AGAIN because I’m waiting for them), but that he would call me tomorrow with a plan. Fine. It’s 9pm. I’m tired. Fine. He calls back two minutes later asking me to send him pictures of the fridge because he didn’t believe me and needed to get the manufacturer to re-​send. And says he somehow miraculously spoke to the warehouse (within the two minutes from our last conversation) and they can deliver tomorrow. Ummmm what part of I am not missing work again don’t you understand Sabino??? Deliver it first thing Saturday morning. He says no guarantees. WTH?
At this point, I just want my money back. I am six months pregnant and this shit is stressing me the hell out. And for what? To have to speak to a «manager» who has done nothing but upset me? I have given Howard’s $ 1000 and a second chance and now I just want nothing to do with this awful company.
Do not EVEN waste your time at this ghetto establishment. Half of their employees don’t speak English without an accent so you have to ask them to repeat everything. I should’ve known better than to go to ALHAMBRA for anything.
Their lack of customer service and care is embarrassing. As a saleswoman of a Fortune 500 company myself I am embarrassed for them. How dare you even call yourself a business. Shut your doors. Please.

I first heard of Howards back in the days when I saw a commercial on television with the Dodgers All Star Ron Cey in it. He and Steve Garvey (a Hall of Famer) were my two favorite players when I was really young. Now that I’ve aged myself, I must say Howards is a nice appliance store to shop at.
Their newer facility in Alhambra is big and spacious. All the appliances and televisions are separated and staged around different areas of the store to make it easier to lpok at, while comparing different models.
I bought my washer and dryer here a few years ago and my buddy recently purchased a refrigerator here too. They do price matching with competitors, and also offer free delivery service around the local area, but not sure how far they would go for free.
As usual, each manufacturer has a one year warranty, and Howard’s offers an extended warranty that can be purchased.
The sales staff is very nice. He helped price match the refrigerator from Home Depot’s cost. But I was a bit disappointed when they couldn’t match an even less expensive place, but out of state when we found it online. Oh well.
I do like shopping at Howards, and I will always put them in consideration when I’m in the market for am appliance. I’m a fan there my eyes.

I needed appliances in under a week and had very specific requirements. The usual players Sears, Best Buy, Lowe’s couldn’t get them here fast enough. Howard’s was super nice, we made the order over the phone and they delivered the next day to Los Angeles for FREE. So impressive, thanks Howard’s!

If you want a pleasant experience I highly recommend you to speak with Mr William Pleasant. He does live up to his name. I have been shopping Howards for about 25 – 30 years bought Stoves Fridges Washer Dryer AC unit and now TV. He is easy to work with and made my purchase 12÷31÷14 the best one at the end of the year down to the wire. Give him a try you will be pleasantly surprised as I was!

They don’t carry replacement bulbs for the dryer I bought at this place a few years ago. They told me I can get the bulb at Home Depot.
