Golden Mile Bowling

I often come here when I’m looking to hone my bowling skills circa 1998. There’s a certain magic about this place and if they were ever to make a new «Back to the Future» movie where they had to travel to the 90’s, it would be filmed here.
Is that a bad thing? Depends on how you look at it. The negatives, fluorescent lighting, balls that haven’t been changed in forever (So your putting your fingers into old balls), and the only thing that’s changed in the last decade is their name. Though I’m pretty sure the televisions are the newest additions but they were probably there when LCD tv’s were first introduced.
Why do I come back here even now and than. Well, just as I listed above, sometimes it’s nice that some things stay the same. That’s what we call nostalgia. I went there in the 90’s and there were some good times had. You cannot beat the prices that are here. I go at night to get the most bang for my balls. $ 9.00 for unlimited bowling from 9pm-​12am Monday thru Thursday. I understand they have cosmic bowling on the weekends but that’s not for me (Nor my wallet). Since 2016 the prices have gone up on, well, everything. It’s still $ 9.00 for bowling but shoe rentals, drinks, food, and everything went up 50 cents but it’s still well worth the cost. The only less expensive thing you can do is get a cup of coffee at starbucks and sit there for 3 hours (Which is perfectly fine) but I think your butt may disagree. Most people bring their own balls (You want to be the only person that touches your balls) and shoes anyway.
It’s a good time and a good bargain and I’m not speaking for those people who think $ 15 for lunch is a good price. I would say heed my warning, it’s the san gabriel valley so be very wary of the asian drivers (Again I’m Chinese so I know). If you happen to see a guy bowling between his legs, chances are that would be me. In which case, watch out.

This place was packed on a Sunday night before a Monday holiday. $ 20/​hr was not so bad. We had 6 people so the split was pretty good. They wouldn’t give us two lanes though for some reason.
Drinks aren’t allowed in the bowling area. You have to leave them in the back bar… Which I guess is okay but hard to keep an eye on if you think about it.
I think bathrooms could be cleaner.
It only malfunctioned like once or twice so that was pretty good.
The shoes run a little big too.

I go here straight after work on Weekdays. Very cheap prices $ 1.50 before 6pm. so it’s a steal for me, im just buying time for traffic to die down. Imma scratch bowler, so i practice at this place for the extremely dry conditions. (they oil the lanes at 6pm)
Place has nice big tvs so if you want to catch a game its very entertaining. This place doesnt have all the new fancy stuff, but its good enough to have fun.

The lovely 1990’s interior design, banged up balls, and so-​so shoes help recall a time when it was known as ABC Bowling. The score screens still do not provide the speed of your bowl and the fancy animations you may see after a strike like at Action Lanes, but at least they’re finally modern displays now. Some of them even have football and basketball games on. The small bar in the back seemed the same as it has always been, with cheap beer and snacks.
They have good deals on games depending on the day you go. We went on Tuesday and paid $ 9 for unlimited bowling (shoe rental is extra) from 9pm-​12am. Like a buffet, you will eventually realize that you’ve had too much. The lanes are probably the best part about this place, they’re well maintained and oiled often.
This bowling alley will always be the cozy place I’ve known since high school. It’s not the fanciest or prettiest, but it gets the job done :)

Have been to this bowling alley several times and always happy about the prices. Before 9pm on Sunday’s it’s $ 2 a game you can’t really beat these prices. Balls are a little beat up but again it’s cheap so I can’t complain.

Nice place, we play two games and hade two lines, everything looks good and the workers are nice.

First time bowling in a while. This place has had some wear and tear but it is a fun and family friendly place to spend a Saturday evening. We had bought an hour and had a ball retrieval malfunction about 50 minutes in. The staff (specifically Ricardo) froze our time, helped us fix the problem, and let us finish our game with a little extra time to spare. The prices are good, it’s value-​oriented and the disco ball comes down at 9.

The worker on Tuesday night (11÷17÷15) was giving attitude. If we asked a question she’ll laugh and ignore it. Not really a person to complain but I felt she was very rude and immature. If I could give zero stars I would

Poorly maintained lanes. Ancient oil machine from the 60s. You’ll be lucky to see them oil the lanes. Do not, I repeat do not, bring your own bowling balls. Your almost guaranteed to have them damaged by a loose screw and they basically say tough luck not our problem. You come here if you don’t care about bowling seriously and only want to have a fun time. I’ve seen many bowling balls other than mine being mangled at golden mile while I’m at the pro shop I go to its almost routine to see at least 2 when I go visit. It’s not fun worrying about your bowling ball so I stopped coming here after a few times with my ball being damaged and basically being told it’s not their problem. Their hourly rate is almost laughable $ 15 an hour? Seriously? They don’t want people there who are serious about bowling.

Guy at the front desk was rude! We went just for the cosmic bowling, when we get there, guess what… No cosmic bowling as it was listed! Again the service was poor and they kept staring at us making us uncomfortable. We just played two games and left because we felt like we were intruders! If your looking to have FUN this is not the place.

This place is really good on Friday and Saturday after 12am. $ 1.25 per game is just too good of a deal to pass up. I came with the girlfriend and a couple of friends and we all had a really good time. I’ll definitely be back to practice on my bowling game.

I’m a regular here. Cheap to play in the morning and good place to hang out at night.
$ 1.25 per game from 9am — 12pm Sunday

This place had a vintage bowling alley feel to it. I really liked that. Plus, its bowling why do you need to go somewhere fancy? They have billiards and arcade games as well. A small quaint bar to serve drinks, what else can you ask for?
The only thing that I didn’t like about this place is the air conditioning. They have ceiling fans which aren’t practical for a place such as this. Also it can seem a little dirty. However, if all your worried is about coming to bowl. This is a good place to come if you’re in the area.

A hidden bowling alley in the middle of a small chinese plaza. They have about 26 lanes and pretty good deals on bowling. The prices are reasonable, with the highest being on the weekend nights, which was 3.75/game. You can also choose to pay per hour, which was 18/​lane/​hr. The other rates during off hours were even cheaper, with after midnight being 1.25! The alley is not one of those fancy ones, which are lounge type places. It’s your typical bowling alley with a small bar. They have cosmic bowling after 9pm.
Parking is out front. This place got really crowded on a saturday night but luckily we came before the crowd and got a few lanes.

Went to bowl here with friends after dinner. My friends told me they have a special on Monday through Thursday starting at 9pm they have all you can bowl bowling for 9 dollars. Right away I said let’s go bowl when they told me that. Because we were debating to go bowling or go to the driving range.
We got there little before 9pm, so we had to wait till 9pm to get a lane for the all you can bowl price. I was happy they had big screen tvs with cable so we were able to watch te nba playoffs that was still going on. The bowling ally feels a little old but still a nice environment to bowl and hang out with your friends in. Would be coming back for sure.

What a gem. Drove all the way from the westside and I’m glad I did because this place was fun bowling times. Very reasonable pricing, $ 3.75/person per game or $ 18/​person per hour on a Saturday evening. Sure, it’s not as flashy or loud as other more expensive places but it’s simple and plain bowling which was what we needed since we were not here to club haha. They did turn down the lights and had the disco lights flashing at 9pm which was pretty cool. There’s a dollar deal per game from 12am-​3am which I didn’t stay for but sounds awesome if you can stay awake till then. There are also couple arcade games, pool tables, an air hockey table.
I didn’t eat their food but I saw other people eating and it looked really unappetizing lol :/​luckily there’s a noodle joint connected to the place and you can grab some delicious grub there!
Parking wasn’t hard to find as there is a private lot for the plaza. The place is pretty old school (no BIG flashing lights yada yada) but overall it gets the job done if you’re looking for some bowling fun! They did have TV screens to each lane but who’s really there to watch tv anyways.

Cheap bowling at times, but it’s a very basic bowling alley.
Pros: Cousin works here. He bowls here lots and when I go with him. They have certain days and times where it’s cheaper. Has all your basic amenities and the lanes are decent. It gets oiled daily and it’s one of the pluses because the rest of the place isn’t cared for too well. Plenty of bowling balls to choose from. Sometimes one of the league bowlers with a ton of extra bowling balls leaves behind a reactive one and it’s nice to be able to use one of those.
Cons: This place is OLD. like early 1990s old. Electronics are from the stone ages. shoes are the usual. they’re beat up, but usable. The bowling balls are pretty beat up too aside from the occasional reactive that is left behind. The whole facility feels pretty run down besides minor updates here and there. For example. if someone ever asks for bumpers. a guy has to come down and pull them up by hand.
Bottom line: Cheap bowling at times, but don’t expect much. The owners are rich and this is just one of the many establishments that they own. It’s a small profit compared to everything else. so it makes sense for them to not care too much as long as it’s making a profit.

I usually come here for their specials after midnight. They recently bumped up their prices by like a quarter more per game if I’m correct. Which is still pretty decent! There’s always a line before their specials start. So get here at least by 11:45pm
The staff here are nice, they do their job and keep things organized.
Oh yeah and for all you drunk bowlers, they sell alcohol here as well!

Previously known as ABC Bowling for many many years have finally renovated! Now it’s known as Golden Mile.
Old score screens are replaced with 20 something inches flatscreen scoring TVs and 50 something inches flatscreen TVs inside the bowling alley. NEAT!!!
The bowling lanes are nicely furnished and waxed instead of the old Flintstones bowling lanes like Covina Lanes. More new bowling balls!
Saturday nights after 12 am it’s 1.00 bowling until 2 am (tip: come early to line up because the line starts forming by 11:30 pm)
They also have decent bowling rates on regular days.
Parking is plentiful in the back and if you’re hungry, can always grab bite at noodle 101 next door. Legit!
