for your own safety, please do not come here. this place is straight out disgusting. there are holes in the walls, mold in the bathrooms, weird stains on the beds and chairs, etc. honestly, it reeks of death in there. an acquaintance of mine had gone there once to take a day away from his family. he saw very peculiar stains, and tells me that everything he used was chipped, dirty, and broken. he even saw some blood stains and weird bugs. anyways, the pool is creepy and the people in the buffet can watch you while they eat. then again, people rarely swim in there. and it’s not as clean as you would think. also, back then they had a problem with bed bugs. most of the rooms have issues with bed bug sheddings and carcasses near or under the mattress. as a heads up, when you are bitten by a bed bug, it just means that they are mating. the bed bug sucks your blood and when a female is bloated with blood, the male who has a sharp, knife-like penis, gets on top of her and then stabs her in her abdomen. he then excretes his sperm into her bloodstream, thus allowing her to lay more eggs all over the place. sounds romantic no? this place is broken down and not worth going to. most of the stuff here is old and no one fixes it. it’s really outdated and doesn’t measure up to sanitary standards. there is no hair dryer or amenities meaning there’s no soap, shampoo, lotions, etc. there is also a crap breakfast which isn’t even good. everything tastes stale. if you come here and bring your family, you sir, are a terrible person and should be hit by a bus.

I wish to give a thumbs up to the Fremont Inn. The staff is very friendly and very attentive. The location is excellent since I need to go to both downtown LA and the San Gabriel Valley … it’s very close to freeway 10 and 710. Restaurants, Costco, Target, and Cal State LA are very close by. Rooms are spacious and comfortable … and quiet which is most important to me. It’s a good value for money hotel. I would definitely stay there again.

I have stayed at The Fremont Inn a few times and have never had any problems. The staff have always been very friendly, good location close to stores and restaurants and the freeway. The rooms I have stayed in were very large and no bed bugs contrary to what the other review says. I stayed here when attending different trainings and it was a very quite place to study in the evenings. I would definitely stay here again.

okay so the only good thing about this hotel, was that it was close to where i was working. other than that, avoid this hotel at all costs! where do i start… just walking in and you know what kind of place this is… lobby…ehhhh…dude at desk… ehhh…so the room i had was horrible… didnt want to take my shoes off… spider webs in numerous place. just dirty in general… actually had ants in the bathroom all over my toothpaste… no wifi in your room. you have to carry your computer to either the lobby or the conference room to use it… oh. dont even think about having any friends over past ten… the dude at the front threatend to call the cops when i had some people come up… for that kind of money i should be able to come and go as i please. but no.they lock the front doors so in order to get out you have to unlock them yourselves. and than ring a bell to get back in… no amenities in the room… the t. v was the size of this computer screen i am typing on now… breakfast…hell to the no… they had a big ol box of cherioes and when i saw that i left… the worse thing about it is we paid 150 a night for the place which is very expensive for what i got… understand that i have stayed in a different hotel room every week for the last 3 years and this is on the bottom of the list… this is the type of place that should charge by the hour. in no way am i a stuck up snob. had we been payin 50 bucks for the room it might not have been so bad… i could have accepted that… you get what you pay for. but not in this case… stay far far far away!!!

Stay away from here, aside from being pricey it’s also old and smelly.

Positives: Was somewhat near various locations in LA I had the misfortune of staying at the Fremont while in LA on a job, and had no choice of hotel. Despite seeing the numerous negative reviews, I tried to stay positive and hoped that the hotel would prove them wrong. However, they were all completely true. The hotel from the exterior has recently been redone, and we learned from the liaison for our job that they’re in the process of renovating to convert to long-stay apartment/suites for Chinese businessmen. The owner used this to try and excuse our rooms. Not one of the ten rooms for our party was clean or decent. Highlights of my room were the dirty carpet, which despite being vacuumed, had not been vacuumed along the walls or the corners, where there was tons of visible dirt. Checking for bed bugs, we found numerous dead bed bug skins along the side of the mattress. When one in our group asked the staff about this, they said that it was a few isolated cases and that they had taken care of it. One man in our group switched three rooms until finding one without bed bug carcasses on the sheets. Everything was covered in dust, and when I wiped the desk with a Clorox wipe, it came back covered in solid black dirt. The remote’s batteries were dead, and the TV was mounted on a literal plank that did rotate. Needless to say, I have never walked around without my shoes on. The bathroom was the next disaster. The counter was dirty, and on one side has large burn marks from a curling iron. One towel was littered with bed bug carcasses. The sink has no cover over the drain, and I lost a razor but dared not get it back. From the metal vents in the lobby ceiling, they don’t bother to clean their metallic parts of the hotel. The shower head was extremely low(I’m 5’11 and it was at eye level) and no hair dryer or amenities(soaps, shampoo, etc.) were available. All the walls in the room were littered with holes, marks, and various mystery substances, which prompted us to have our job liaison contact the owner. He, without apology, said he would look into it. We requested that due to the abysmal condition of the rooms that they be professionally cleaned that day before we returned. The result was a slightly more thorough vacuuming, and the beds being made. No dusting, no wiping, no bleaching. Their website advertises a «Deluxe Continental Breakfast», which consists of off-brand cereal, stale milk and stale bread. No fruit was visible, though we did meet an older chinese woman who seemed like one of the owners. Without a doubt, she was the rudest hotel employee I have ever met. She constantly glared at us, and made it very clear we were bothering her. She went as far to ask if we were with the group, and she requested our room numbers, explaining that we were getting a 40% discount and therefore that we would only get maid service twice in our five night, six day stay. Furthermore, this hotel does not only provide a dirty, dim, dangerous atmosphere, with rude, uncaring staff, it also is in violation of numerous health and safety standards, the most prominent being their elevator expiration certificates, which expired over a year ago. We, I’m sure, only scraped the surface of the hell that is the Fremont Inn. The loud, industrial surroundings add insult to injury. The owners should be ashamed to treat their guests so badly. This hotel could not be shut down too soon and I hope they are for the safety of any unfortunate future guests. Choosing anywhere other than the Fremont would be a better choice. The one positive review must be the owners, because this dump is possibly the worst hotel in LA. AVOIDATALLCOSTS.
