This is the kind of store that reminds me of growing up in a small town in the Mid-​West. The kind of store I hope I can always find when shopping.
The two men who work here seem to like what they do and, even better, are helpful and very knowledgable about the products they sell. I called and they were quickly able to tell me they had what I was looking for. When I went in they educated me about my product and I walked out with exactly what I needed.
The gentlemen here were helpful AND made me smarter! Now that’s a great shopping experience. I’ve found my new camera store :)

Prices are high, but quality and service is excellent. I was in a photographer emergency and this place was the perfect stop to get everything squared away!

We got our passport photos at this store (after a disastrous experience at a local Riteaid). These guys are pros and the customer service is exceptional. They live in both the film & digital worlds. If you need PASSPORT PHOTOS — this is the place to go. They did a magnificent job and produced exceptional quality photos that were correctly exposed and the prints had the correct color balance and contrast. It really is crucial to have a professional photographer who knows what they are doing in order to get a good quality photo. Will be coming here again and recommending their services.

Customer service was awesome. They went above and beyond to find a charger for me.

This is my 1^st review ever, I don’t usually write reviews. well anyways, where do I begin! Prolly the most best experience I have ever had coming in to a Camera Store, in fact I’m just a beginner myself! I been to about 9 different stores. All staff personal at Alhambra Cameras are all down to earth & honest people. Laura, Lori, David & especially Mr. Bobby Greenberg. I never experience such kind & honesty in my life, rather than trying to sell me something. Bobby actually introduce me on how to make my Canon AV-​1 35 mm of better use. I guarantee & I will vouched for Alhambra Camera. Come here check it out, prices usually cheaper than other Camera Stores, not to name any. I’m not that kind of person! So please you need a good camera shop! Alhambra Cameras is your best bet! Thank you Alhambra Camera for making my experience feel good about my new hobby rather than feeling bad when I come to other stores. Great service. No frills kind of guys definitely willing to help you out any way they can. Straight forward, which is how I like my information.

I went there for a tripod but they didn’t have it, but I left with some lens cleaner, filter to protect my lens and cleaning paper. They have the t5i, t4 and t3. So definitely check out here for it. Bob was extremely helpful and was willing to answer all of my questions. Definitely coming back!

Went there today after my 35 mm camera was not talking photos and i didn’t know why? I had gone to a previous place and all they told me is the meter is not on… ok? what the fuck am i suppose to do with that information. anyways went in here, I didn’t get his name but an older man help me. He is amazing he explain everything to me very clearly and didn’t make me feel as i was dumb or something. Point being friendly service, answers any questions you may have, and explains.
I will make this my place to go if i need anything.

Laura and Laurie are so helpful every time I am in the store. Easy to find and great parking out back. Make sure to stop in and check out their fabulous papers and embellishments. Have fun and happy crafting.

My experience:
1. Have an older Nikon SLR digital that I dropped. Constant error message. Took it in and Bob was going to find out how much I could get for the parts, since the repair might have been more than the value of the camera. A week later Bob called and said his technician took a look at it and corrected the problem. $ 20.
2. This a like an old-​time business. I’ve spent a lot of time taking with Bob and he’s given me some good advice. Always cleans my lens and checks out the camera when I bring it in.
3. Bob recommended a good case for the camera. I didn’t want to chance buying one online that would not be right.

I went here awhile ago to get my dsrl camera fixed. I accidentally bent my dsrl pins by inserting the memory card too hard. i thought the customer was good. .the whole process took less than a week.

If you need great information on cameras this is the place to come to, they might not have a great inventory but the guy knows his stuff. You will pay just a bit more than other stores out there, so shop around.

My sister & I visited Alhambra Camera today and we were so pleased with the service we received. Bob & David were both knowledgable & accommodating, we never felt pressured or hassled but very welcomed.
We asked several questions that Bob answered & told us some great stories. He even checked out my sister’s Ebay purchase, a used Canon AE-​1, examined & cleaned it without charging us!
They carried all the supplies my sister needed for her ELAC Photography 10 class and were reasonably priced. We will definitely be back & enjoy giving business to good people who still value exceptional customer service! Keep up the good work gentlemen!!!

Our lighting kit Sync Cord broke, need to get another one to finish the photo shoot. So instead of going to Samy’s Camera in Pasadena, we found this place down the street from us. Luckily it has what we need, and decent price too. Same price as Amazon, without the shipping.
But please note, NO RETURN OTHER THAN DEFECT.

Really impressed with the good service here. From the moment I came in to the moment I stepped out, I was greeted nicely and went out happily.
This review only concerns the passport pictures service which was amazing.
The photographer really took his time for me and was so nice as to show me all pictures and let me choose. He made me feel comfortable which the picture shows. After tax, I paid 16 bucks for the two non-U.S. photo sizes. Not too bad.

Absolutely a large part of this store is for scrapbook supplies, but they have the vast majority of what I need camera-​wise (as a pro-​amateur). But much more than that, they are extremely helpful, and seemingly not driven by a sense of commission (buy something now or get out). I can get honest/​knowledgeable advice, and good natured help (tips on using the equipment I’d already had, free lens cleanings, advice on shooting in unique situations, etc.)
I freely admit that I am not a fan of Sammy’s (personal experience being arrogant, bitter staff who’d likely rather be somewhere else). Alhambra does not by any means have the same variety (or cost) of equipment as Sammy’s, but here I get assistance and info that I trust. Wow, that sounded like an 80s ad.

I love to support small businesses. I realize that their prices often can’t compete with big online box pushers like Amazon or giant brick and mortar retailers like Best Buy, but sometimes I feel like it’s worth paying a little more for the quality of service & to know your money is going to good people, trying to fight the good fight and live the American Dream.
That being said, I walked in to Alhambra Camera, knowing exactly what I wanted to purchase and as I waited and waited and waited for the guys behind the counter to help me, I looked in horror as I listened to who I can only assume was the manager bitch out a customer for having looked at Best Buy first. He went on and on about how great his store was and how you get a different level of service at his store and how ignorant she was for going to Best Buy.
Talking down to your customers is service?
You’ve lost another customer… get a clue…

After living in Alhambra for 27 years, I thought it was finally time to stop into this store. Just bought a new camera and wasn’t happy with the case I got for it from Best Buy. When I entered the store I saw a small section for camera bags but looked around and realized that was all they had. Small selection but the customer service was great. They helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Also when paying for the camera bag I was given a tip about getting more power out of my camera batteries. Will definietly return when needing something else for my camera.

So I had an experience with this shop about a year ago but never made a review because it wasn’t a big deal… but after today, I thought I should share.
So about a year ago I went in for a repair on my broken Sony cybershot. They informed me that if I wanted a repair I should call Sony. I was a little annoyed that this was their only help but no biggie… that kind of stuff happens all the time.
What happened today is that I called them (after being referred to them) for their photo restoration to ask about pricing and the time it would take. I was told a variety of answers and he just kept telling me that he couldn’t help me without seeing the photo. I totally UNDERSTAND that… but I just wanted to know if it was POSSIBLE to have a photo finished in a day. He just kept saying the same thing over and over again and it got so frustrating. It was not worth the trouble and he was not willing to help. I understand that he doesn’t want to give a quote over the phone and that makes sense because of the levels of work that could be required. I was just asking for a best case scenario so I could know if it was even possible to fix this photo in a short amount of time. He could not give me a best case scenario, and was very short with me and unhelpful. I told him that he didn’t answer my question and he seemed fine with that and was happy to hang up and leave this potential customer looking for a competitor with better customer service. I’d say only shop here if you aren’t time restrained and don’t have any questions that need help.
