A-1 Self Storage

This is my first time renting a storage space. I have a collection that has just grown out of control plus other family items that I have no room for any more. I had been driving around looking for a storage space. Since I shop at the Target often, I thought this would be a great location. The size I selected was 10×10. It actually was bigger than I realized and I still have a lot more room if I need it. I posted some pictures so you can get an idea of how many bins and boxes can fit in there. I believe it was the last one so I recommend you call or reserve a space before come in. Kevin helped me with the paperwork and explained everything I was signing. I was able to move in and go back to the space with no problems. I was quoted a price and decided to rent the space. There is an advantage because you do not have to sign a yearly contract. The rates are month to month. This is great if you need to leave in under a year but if you stay longer you have no guarantee of your price for any length of time. Since I’ll likely be there for a while I want to make sure the price doesn’t go up too soon. Other than that my rating would have been a 5 star but it’s really a 4.98, really close… This is a great new location and I’m looking forward to safely storing my items here as long as the price stays the same for at least a year.

The storage warehouse itself is secure, clean and spacious enough to gather big bulky items to move around. Kevin the main manager is super helpful and works with you. a good tip would be to get things done around the mornings during the week, as it gets packed with procrastinators at the end of the weekend.

I had an awesome experience at A-​1. The facilities are new, clean and provided everything I needed. The staff are professional and very efficient. It took about 15 minutes from start to finish to rent the unit. The amount of paperwork was way less than their competitors. Much more high tech in how they operate. I’m very happy to have discovered them.

A-​1 Self Storage is PERFECT. The whole facility is very clean and has excellent security. Kevin is very courteous, helpful, informative, and personable. He was very clear and thorough when explaining how the rental agreement works and was able to answer all of my questions with total confidence (it’s so frustrating when customer service reps sound like they’re guessing the answers to your questions!).

Just loved it. The best around the neighborhood in everything, new building, best business hours to get in n out, best price. We checked every storage facilities around the neighbor but nothing even close as good. Totally recommended.

Wow! Talk about great service! Evelyn and Kevin went way above and beyond to help me. I haven’t seen service like this since the 1950’s. You know the service station scene in Back to the Future? Well that’s what it feels like dealing with Evelyn and Kevin. Note to management: You need to do whatever you can to hang on to these two as long as possible.
On top of great service the facility is extremely clean, very secure, and even has bathrooms with coded entry on each floor. I was also lucky enough to get their FREE moving van for my short haul move.
And to top it off, the rental rates are no higher than those of far inferior storage facilities in the area.
5 stars? Heck, I’d give ‘em 10 stars if I could.

Ok so, where do I start? I checked this place out online the other day for info on storage units since I was considering moving my stuff from a competitor who shall remain unnamed. I placed a hold on a larger unit and someone called me a short time later to thank me for my reservation. That’s a great way to start! So, I went in a bit later that same day and talked with Kevin who showed me around the facility and showed me a couple of units I was interested in. The place is clean and well lit and the security systems and procedures are top notch if you ask me. Granted it’s a new building less than a year old but these guys know their business. The more he explained the details the more I thought how dumb it would be for me NOT to rent here. So I did. I moved in today and thanks to Evelyn all went really smooth. That’s how competent they are here. They let you use their truck to move your stuff in and it includes some miles but not gas. Still it was way cheaper to move in than if I had to rent a UHaul or something. Once word gets out about this place I bet they’ll be full really soon. Oh well, at least I got a space for my stuff and I feel really good about the whole thing. What more can I say? 5 star rating!

Only been there 4 months and they’ve raised my rent. It’s just $ 4.00/mo, but why? They claim it is to cover maintenance, taxes, insurance & utilities, but I’m not buying it. Bait and switch, man !!!

I transferred from a storage facility to this location and it has been great. This location is clean, accessible hours, has protected units with keypad entry and very nice staff. I am really pleased with this facility! I feel safe coming to the facility and feel safe that my items will remain secure.
The only downfall is parking availability; however, I have always been able to get in– whether to access or move in items– whenever I needed to.

This was my first time renting a storage unit and i was very intimated by other locations but than i found this Facility. I was immediately greeted by Kevin who made me feel very welcomed and walked me step by step thru the renting process. I’m very pleased knowing my stuff will be safe with people like Kevin behind the scenes.
This facility is new, clean, secure, reasonably priced and has great customer service. I highly recommend it! If you’re looking for a storage unit look no further!!!

This was my first time renting a storage unit.
As a college student, I noticed that sometimes the quality of customer service from particular businesses will be compromised because of my age and the perceived attitude that may come attached to it (19 year olds = rude to anyone). However, my customer experience with A-​1 Self Storage changed my perception in regards to that. They were very friendly and helpful when it came to any questions I had regarding payments or my contract and took the time to really insure my experience was better than I ever expected.
Initially, I wasn’t really looking to rent from this particular place– I had just stopped in to buy boxes to move-​out with from my nearby university. But once again, it was the customer service that really set them apart from the other storage places I was considering renting from. I also really appreciated how clean the grounds were from the elevators to the bathrooms, it was always very orderly and to me, that speaks a great amount of how the business is ran.
The business hours suited me perfectly especially the early opening times and late closing time of 10pm. I was traveling out of town 5 hours away transitioning from moving my personal items from my previous house to my storage unit and I would always makes stops right when I got into LA at A-​1 Storage– I never had any problems on the grounds, going in and out as a single female in the early morning hours or late at night stopping by before going back to my city located 5 hours away. This including when I made restroom breaks in the middle of loading my items in my storage unit, it still felt safe and secure. The grounds are extremely secure and there are cameras everywhere.
I highly recommend for all nearby university students that are attending an LA university but live out of town and would rather not move all their belongings back home from the summer to consider renting a storage unit especially from here. The rent was no more than a nice gym membership per month and they really accommodate when I moved out after 3 months financially wise (from June to September 1^st) and allowed me to not be charged for the rest of September despite moving out the first week-​ish.
All of these aspects of A-​1 Self-​Storage really contributed to my overall experience and expectations established for any of my future storage needs which is why I’m giving this place a 5 star rating. :-)

Evelyn was so helpful and the moment we walked in she is ready to help. She noticed that we were struggling with the front entrance, so she helped us find a unit in the back, where it was quieter and easier to move in. She also answered all my questions and showed the unit to us to make sure we are satisfied with the unit.
The storage was new, clean and secured. We feel safe to store the belongings there. Definitely recommended.

Really excellent customer service by Evelyn. She showed me 2 units and explained the process clearly and precisely. Everything was fast & smooth. So far I’m very happy with choosing this location.

The moment I stepped onto their property and saw the type of security they had there I instantly knew that I wanted to leave my old storage which was an old lack of security over-​charging storage place down the road.
Evelyn and Kevin has this comfortable friendly aura around them that you can feel like you can trust them and they were going to be straightforward with you about their units.
They were completely professional on every questions I had and tried their best to accommodate to any storage related request you had like trunk rentals etc.
I’m truly impressed with the amount of security they have surrounding everything but the amount of times you gotta punch in your code to get in the door then for the elevator is a bit tiring but it’s worth it for your safety and it helps you remember your code a lot faster.
Their units are at much cheaper price and bigger than most from other storages in the area, I truly feel my stuff is safe and secured there.
I’m a fan that their access time is up until like 10 I think which longer than most but the alarm sound is annoying times.

Today I signed up with this storage place. I love the security in this place. You need your password going in the elevator, and you can only go onto the floor your storage is on. Evelyn was a big help. I took a tour of the place, it is nice and it feels really safe. I am going to see how it turns out.

Brand spanking new state of the art facility with an awesome staff. Kevin is definitely a customer service expert! Worth your time to come in and a safe and secure facility
