I’ve been going here since I was 8 years old for their dream lenses, which are hard contacts that you wear while sleeping to ensure perfect vision for the following day. I’m 23 now and still find these lenses to be the most convenient solution to correcting my vision. I appreciate 1234 Orthok for providing this alternative to glasses and soft lenses.

My 10 year old daughter started to wear Ortho-​k corrective contact lenses two years ago. Since then she can see things clearly without wearing glasses at daytime. That’s what she wants. She was nearsighted at age of 6 and it’s getting worse every year. Now her eye vision is stable. That’s what I want!!! It’s working for her. Thanks to Dr. Woo and all the staff.

Initially, I was nervous about going here since it was my first time seeking out an optometrist. Nonetheless, I was very impressed by the staff and Dr. Woo. He was very patient in answering all of my questions of concern and gave very helpful suggestions to avoid worsening my vision. The Staff are fun loving and warm. They make sure that you do not wait too long for the doctor, and the environment at 1234 Ortho-​K Vision Care is friendly and bright. I love going there!

My 8 year old son with mild nearsightedness came here for Ortho-​K 1 month ago. Dr. Woo explained the cause of nearsightedness and how to prevent it getting worse in the way my son could understand. Thanks, Dr. Woo! After he put on Ortho-​K glasses at sleep time for a few days, he did not need to wear glasses at school! At first follow up appointment (7^th day of his Ortho-​K correction), only 50 degree left. Great! I believe his nearsightedness will be fully corrected very soon.
Dr. Woo and all staff are very nice. The service is very good. They answered all my question and concern about Ortho-​K. One Saturday early morning, when I help my son taking off the lens, one len was accidentally moved to the white of the eye. Although the len was finally back to its position and was taken off, his eye was getting red. I called and texted to them. The staff patiently explained to me that situation is normal and asked me to use the eye drop they gave to my son. I told them I may need to have a doctor appointment at their next day Rowland Heights location if his eye was not better. The red disappeared soon and he said his eyes were fine. On next day, they called me back to ask if everything was ok and if my son need appointment. They are caring and professional which let me feel I have a strong support team for my son’s Ortho-​K treatment! I made a good choice to come here!

This place is very nice. The employees were very friendly​.Dr​.Hu is very professional. My daughter’s eyes had been better.

I used to go to a place somewhere in Mission for this. It was more expensive and they didn’t have any contact lens available so I asked around and found out about 1234. It is way more affordable and faster than the other place. Parking was hard to find in the afternoon.

Staff helped me with my insurance to get the maximum benefits. Note– my insurance company did not have them listed but I called and confirmed that I’m accepted so you may want to call them to double check if they are not listed with your current provider.
Places like Costco, i feeI didn’t get as much personal attention as here. Going to Costco to see a DOCTOR also felt strange and to endure the typical headache of huge crowds and crappy parking just killed me and my time.
I prefer this place because the facility is professional, nice, and clean with plenty of parking and definitely more convenient.
This place was referred to me by a friend with similar experiences which is the reason I thought to give them a try. 2 thumbs up and very happy I came to this place.

I am a girl with glasses. I wore glasses for 3 years. After a while wearing glasses i didnt like it. Glasses was just too much. I dont like wearing glasses. Thankfully have otokare. They help me so i dont habe to wear glasses. It is way easier. I think all of you wearing glasses should try otokare. You should give it a try.

The staff is kind and kid friendly. The night time contacts they gave me made my eyes improve at over 90%. Dr. Paul also gives you an explanation of why your eyes are becoming worse than before. Recommend for those who speaks Chinese and has children.

I came here to find some new sunglasses. They have a really great selection of Ray Bans and Oakley. I settled with 2 pairs of Ray Bans and one of the pairs were polarized. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the nice ladies in pink at the front desk asking if they can help with anything. I spoke to Serena who was attentive and picked out some potential sunglasses that would fit my face. Elaine also helped me and said that a lot of their glasses and sunglasses have the «asian-​fit» which are for faces that have little nose bridges. This was really helpful because most of the sunglasses I’ve tried on in other sunglasses retailers are too big or fit improperly. I was really happy to walk in here and feel like they catered to my needs and Elaine even adjusted the nose pieces to sit more comfortably. As I was paying for my sunglasses, Elaine had offered me some of their cool glasses cloths to have extra. She told me to stop using my t-​shirt to clean the lenses.
I don’t wear prescription glasses but they have a sign outside advertising a special exam, frame, and lens pricing if you’re interested in getting new glasses or updating your prescription. I do believe they accept insurance as well.

I decided to try something new besides my regular provider, lens crafters. I made an appointment for Saturday morning at 10am. I was surprised how fast the process was, from filling out the paper work to the basic eye exam. Dr. Woo was very helpful and went out of his way to make sure I left satisfied. He provided me with new contacts to try for a week, along with cleaning solutions. The staff scheduled a follow-​up at a convenient time. In a nutshell, the process was a lot faster and smoother than lens crafters. I’m sure the followup will be the same.

Came here for DMV ordered eye exam. I called ahead of time to schedule an appointment and the person that answered the phone was very friendly. I came in and Elaine took great care of me. She was very thorough and patient in explaining everything for me. I then got to meet Paul who did the exam on my eyes. He was very professional and explained everything he did. I got my contacts and my eyes are very happy. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

We have an 11 year old boy who is Asian and from what I am learning Asian’s have a tendency toward nearsightedness. (Use of iPads, reading, and genetics apparently). This was certainly true with our young man. Over the period of two years his eyes went from –2.25 to –3.00, then to –4.00. When we went to 1234 Ortho-​K his eyes were measured at –5.00 nearsightedness! (If these numbers continue to climb then it becomes very difficult for lenses to correct the problem).
We had previously visited another eye location but found there were so many people and doctors that we did not do anything at that time. Everyone seem to be running around, a lot of noise, and high pressure to purchase.
Then we stopped in at 1234 Ortho and found they had only one doctor, but this doctor had the following attributes:
Graduate of U of C Irvine;
has a University of CA Registered Optometrist license;
has a specialized certificate in Treatment and Management of Ocular Diseases. (This last certificate may not seem that important, but when you are dealing with an 11 year old and contact lenses one has to be EXTREMELY CAREFUL of eye diseases).
He had been at this location for a long time.
We found the staff to be efficient and trained in Educating the patient. The Education of the patient and the parents is very important. Our son was getting night time contact lenses and these require a lot of hands-​on training (by the staff and the doctor) about how to put them in, take them out, clean them, replace them, etc. Each of the staff members was very helpful and well trained themselves.
The Dr.
When Dr. Woo had the results from the tests just taken, he had us come into a separate room where he interpreted the results in both English and Mandarin. This was very very helpful. Also we got the feeling immediately that this guy knew what he was talking about. He is the only doctor so we knew that in the future he would have a personal history of our 11 year old. He said right away that the lenses he would use may NOT WORK. It all depended on the anatomical relationship between the lens and the eye. Most of the time the improvement would be very good, but there was a possibility that the results would not be as positive because of the shape of the eye.
He is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the eye, the lenses, diseases, the training that patient must have in order to succeed in this ‘project’. He relates this information to the parents and the patient in English and Mandarin and speaks so that everyone can actually understand what is going on and what will happen in the future.
After we met with the financial women (who is part financial, part educator, part office manager, part making-​the-​clients-​feel-​at-​home-​person), we were scheduled for a follow-​up visit. This consisted of an hour or more of training of how to put the lenses in, take them out, keep them clean, and how to look for early eye infection.
About three weeks after that we were scheduled to return and see the doctor again to see what the progress (if any) had taken place. As of this date our 11 year old is now seeing, without glasses, an 80% improvement (according to the Doctor). Others may or may not see that much improvement in such a short time. We are not experienced enough to know these things.
1234 Ortho is very interested in educating the patient and the parents, doing close and frequent followup; catching eye problems early, and giving one-​on-​one service.

Both of Doctor and nurses are so nice and patient. My kids are wearing Ortho-​K Lenses while they are sleeping. Now my kids are having 20 20 vision. If you ask my kids that they prefer the lenses or glasses. The answer is lenses.

¹⁰⁄₁₀ highly recommend. Dr. Woo is an excellent doctor and my appointments always run smoothly without delay. Nurses are patient and helpful (especially Jessica). Unlike most eyecare places I’ve been to, this practice is not at all money hungry and will seek to provide you or your child with the best cost-​efficient treatment.

Very bad service. We had appointment at 10:30. We wait for an hour and still have some other people in front of us. Never wait that long in other place. We end up leave.

They charge a fee for check up’s. I believe it’s $ 65.00, which is standard at most offices. Also, vision benefits are real tricky. I would talk to your provider first before going to ANY office. Know before you go and bring paper work if necessary. It always helps to have written docs.
I have had my eyes checked by Mr. Woo back when he had an office in Artesia. He is knowledgeable and professional. Ask questions if you’re unsure of something and he’ll cut to the chase. I wear contacts, but most of my family wears glasses. My mom is a little forgetful and has had to order multiple pairs of glasses with this office. Some of the custom work takes a little longer to fulfill, but she’s always been happy with the fit. if you prefer frames that they don’t carry in the store, ask if they can make a custom order for you. Just be aware that it might come with a cost.
