Michael (the owner) is a remarkable person. He cares about his clients and always goes above and beyond. His prices are extremely competitive and his labor rates are also very reasonable. This company isn’t like the other «big» guys out there and you can tell he is 100% involved with the day to day operations of his business. He even does emergency work on the weekends. I’d highly recommend A Friendly Plumbing to anyone that asks!

Michael has performed several minor repairs for us efficiently, professionally, AND reasonably.
When, in the middle of the night, pipes under our basement floor unexpectedly broke, and the basement flooded, he came out to stop the flooding, and did wonders getting to the crux of a problem which we had been trying to diagnose with other companies for YEARS! The result is lovely, including a solution to back up that had plagued us since we moved in the home 40 years ago! No more back up, and a fine result! Thank you Michael!

Thanks again Michael for coming through. Our water heater checked out at 11P last night. At 9A we were setting up an appointment. At 4:30P we had a new water heater, plumbed and ready to go. He also did our bath, toilet and sink plumbing 2 years ago. Excellent work at a great price.

I called Friendly Plumbing at 10 a.m. with a leak in a basement pipe that had partially flooded my crawlspace. I had to turn the water off in my house to stop the flooding, so needed someone to come out as soon as possible. Mike was at my house by 1:30, so I was very happy with his promptness. I was also very impressed with his work and quickness in finishing the job. He was very reasonable, and I will definitely call him in the future when I have plumbing problems. Thank you, Mike!

Had to replace a 14 year old water heater, and gave Friendly Plumbing a try. They’re local, might as well give them my business. Mike was excellent, professional and courteous. He installed a new 50 gallon unit in a couple hours, for an excellent price. The fittings and plumbing work was great. Very happy to have found a plumber that charges reasonable prices, all while delivering top notch work.

This is the best plumber I have ever had, not only did they help me out of a jam (hired and paid Guenther the Plumber for work he never did) they got the permits straightened out, the work was excellent beyond what I expected. Friendly Plumbing has been reliable, costs are fair and he actually does the job right the first time. As a home rehabber and a home owner, they are the only company I would call.

Our 2 bathroom faucets needeed to be replaced and I called them after one of my facebook friends mentioned them. He was great. He gave me a very reasonable price and told me what to purchase. When he came back, I had not purchased EVERYTHING I needed so he had to come back again. What a nice man!

EXCELLENT SERVICE. We had poor draining in a basement floor drain. I called 2 other well-​known companies and they wanted $ 79 just to walk in the door and tell me what’s wrong. Friendly Plumbing answered the phone and said No Charge to give us the estimate. Michael showed up on time and fixed the drain issue in 10 minutes and charged me very little. He definitely over delivered. I’m keeping his card and calling him from now on! Highly recommend Friendly Plumbing.

My water heater sprang a leak from the bottom and i knew it was time to replace i phoned the big well known chain to come and see what they could do, either fix or quote to replace. Because it needed to be a power vent the quote was enormous and I pretty much laughed at them and told them to leave. Then i called Friendly Plumbing and they came in by the end of the day. I’m so glad i did, it was half the price of the other guy and even pointed me in the right direction with a water softener problem. i was a little surprised that i haven’t seen any reviews for them on here and thought I’d be the first.

About me: My wife and I moved into our home in June 2014 with our two year old son and a newborn on the way. Purchased a foreclosure in Cary. The home is 100 years old and had been sitting empty for a few years.
Our need: We could not locate a washer and dryer hookup anywhere in the house. We were thinking of putting our washer/​dryer in our unfinished basement or on the first floor in a large closet but didn’t have a place to hook it up.
We called 5 different plumbers our first month. Some were bigger companies like ABC plumbing and others were small. NOT ONE company that came over was able to a) find a previous hookup for us or b) figure out a way to setup a new hookup. This is what these people do and no one had an answer for us! A few companies were going to just charge us hourly and said this was due to the troubleshooting time they’d have to add in because they were all stumped. We were so frustrated and concerned we wouldn’t have a solution. We were in desperate need and I was giving up hope. So I found Friendly Plumbing on Unilocal and decided to give them a try. Why not at this point?
First of all, Michael, deserves as many reviews as all the other companies on this site. I’m sad to see I’m the first reviewer because this guy is fantastic. He’s a one-​man operation, and I’m all about supporting small businesses.
When he came over, he did not seem phased about the home’s age and was very excited about the opportunity. Within 20 – 30 minutes or looking around and getting his hands dirty, he had our solution laid out. He said our best best is having the washer dryer on the first floor and showed us exactly how he planned to hookup the washer to the waterline, and the dryer vent and gas line. It took me 6 different companies to finally come across Michael who finally had an answer for us the first try. He was confident in his solution for us and was extremely knowledgeable with all our questions and concerns.
He came over the next week with his son and the job took a couple days only because we had some stucco that posed some issues with the dyer vent, but Michael was able to get the job done, and done flawlessly! He’s a family man and since his son was home for the summer, he had him assist and i appreciate it.
To date, our washer/​dryer is working wonders with no hiccups and we’re so happy we found Friendly Plumbing. Additionally, we purchased a water softener a month later and had Michael come back to install that for us.
I would recommend him to anyone! We found our guy for a long time. Thanks Michael!

I believe he is a good plumber, but he consistently fails to show up when he says he will. Usually without any kind of phone call. I’m flexible, but after having to call him several times when he didn’t show up, I found a more professional plumbing service.

Mike is professional, and takes a great pride to his work. He built a bathroom for us, from scratch. He shows up in time always, precise, and cleans up his work area all the time. If you want an affordable plumbing service, you will be not disappointed. I recommend him highly!
