History

Established in 2012.

The Baranowski Agency was started by Kevin Baranowski in January 2012 and purchased by Dan Hickey in 2012, when it became Allstate — Hickey Financial. Dan is a Chicago native and had lived around Chicago his whole life (Chicago South and North side, Bourbonnais, Crystal Lake, Lake in the Hills). He understands the needs of local customers and has customers all over the greater Chicago area. He worked for True Value Hardware for 20 years and then for Allstate as an Agency Trainer for 6 years. The staff (Natalie, Robin, Kim, and Kevin) are all Property and Casualty licensed and can help with any problem. We are located on Randall Road, just north of Huntley Road — right next to the Enterprise Rental. Dan grew up in the Garfield Ridge area of Chicago (around Archer and Austin). Went to Kinzie Elementary and Kennedy H.S. He later went to EIU and received a Bachelors and Masters in Speech. He worked for Chicago-​based True Value Company and Allstate before becoming an agent. Dan’s brother Jim is a major league baseball coach with the Tampa Bay Rays (before that he coached the Houston Astros). Dan holds licenses in property, casualty, life and health, and financial services. Dan loves to motorcycle, listen to local bands, and is a member of Toastmaster’s International. A resident of Crystal Lake, Dan’s goal is to have the best-​covered and best-​educated customers in the area, meaning that his staff explains the coverage in a way customers understand.
