Just bad customer service. Left messages and no return calls. Wendy was supposed to return calls but did not.

I contacted this moving company on 9⁄22 to request a moving quote for a local move that needed to occur before 9⁄30. I spoke to Wendy who understood my sense of urgency and relayed that to Linda in an email I was copied on. When I hadn’t heard anything from Linda by the next day, I contacted Wendy and was told Linda«is on vacation today but she is very good with following up with people…’ On the 24th I received an email from Linda requesting additional info so she could provide me with a quote. I responded to her within 2 hours and as of today, 9/29, I am still waiting for my quote. Needless to say, I made other arrangements and had my move completed on 9⁄27. While Wendy was responsive, customer service and communication leave a lot to be desired. If this is how things are handled before they get your business, what happens if there is a problem? I don’t see the customer service and communication all of a sudden turning phenomenal.

This was a local home move and four men were supposed to show up. Only three men showed up for the first four hours. Problem is, the hourly man rate is higher with three men vs four, so right off the bat they were charging more than quoted. They then billed me for four men and took almost a week to correct the problem and issue a credit. They broke a railing in a stairwell and no one from Advantage ever contacted me about a repair. I ended up repairing the railing myself as my house closing was rapidly approaching. Their communication and follow up is very weak. And the sales rep did the old«not-my-job» when I asked her about the repair issue. The guys doing the actual move were all very nice and polite. The office/sales people are the ones that leave you with a «slimy feel.»

Linda in the office helped me with my latest move. I have used Advantage for 4 of my moves(one business downtown Chicago move and three personal) and a friend used them for one of his by my recommendation. This move was from IL to TX. Peteer(driver) and 2 loaders did a nice job. I was expecting Peteer to deliver to TX but I got Ed instead. This made me very happy(Peteer is great, but I requested Ed to begin with)! Ed and two guys came to unload my house. I had a smashed file cabinet, but that is it! NODAMAGE any where else. And since I have moved several times, this was great. I had over $ 2500 on my last move. I would use them again and again.

We had a moving date for over 3 years! Advantage hung in there with us and are we grateful they did! Wonderful people to work with, both in Illinois and then on to S. Carolina! Personable, prompt, hard working and detail oriented made this move enjoyable and easy. Thank you to Scott Lange and his crew out of Algonquin Illinois!!! You all are appreciated!
