We are a boutique coffeehouse specializing in quality espresso, coffee, and smoothie drinks. After 5:00 pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the space turns into a high-​end martini bar offering a wide selection of classic and signature cocktails, wine and beer. Small plate menu is available from 5:00 pm — 8:30 pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

Traveling to the Clay County Fair from Des Moines. Stop in here while my car was getting repaired at Ruhnke Bros. and was totaling impressed with the modern décor and furnishings for such a small town coffee shop. It was nicer than most coffee shops in Des Moines. Kudos to the owners.

I have been to Algona twice since meeting and marrying hubby. Each time I have to visit the Perky Parrot at least once a day, if not twice. Once for their decadent coffee drinks and another for the oh-​so-​yummy lunch sandwiches. They also have a martini bar, but we haven’t tried that yet since we are usually doing family stuff in the evenings when we are there. Although the next time we visit, I am going to try and talk hubby and family into trying it out for drinks.

This is a lovely coffee shop in downtown Algona. It is a bit dark inside, but has plenty of seating, nice coffee and pastries. The lighting fixtures and décor is really cool as well. I think it may be the same owners as the awesome pet kingdom next door
They have wireless internet available and have a couple of TVs in the back showing the news.
Overall, I loved this place!
