Coco Joe’s Bar & Grill

I will have to start with I am not a bar person and so my review will be biased — it is based on my stopping for lunch after leaving the Mexican place across the street. I miss Chicago and New York where many bars also have great sandwiches and in the past they had really great sandwiches.
My first issue was — I ordered a diet coke and was served a glass. I tasted it and yuck — very obvious not Coke product. I can understand different places carrying different soda products but shouldn’t they tell you. Apparently it is a «Seattle Diet Coke» which is a local product and supposed to be healthy for you. Huh — Doesn’t everyone stop in a small run down bar to get health food. Yes I did drink it since I didn’t want to get into a discussion on paying for it.
I tried the French Dip sandwich and left ½ of it on the plate. I believe a French Dip usually uses a French bread or a baguette. This was a very soft bland roll with no taste — would be great in a nursing home. The roast beef was not quality, overcooked and I did not care for the au jus.
I also had the hand cut fries and they were almost good but I did not enjoy the oil they were cooked in. Yes we live in a society that is appeasing 1% of the population that has allegories but I wish we would go back to «bad for you oil».
The marginal food, bad coke combined with the constant cussing by the customers (as I said I am not a bar person and realize this is acceptable) means I would not recommend nor come back to this bar.

Been here over 100 times easily… tonight with the new staff… terrible. I was completely ignored. While my husband was served and I sat with an empty beer for over 45 min. One guy came in and never was served @ the bar… he left.

What a shitty bar. People doing drugs in the back. A hole lot of fucking losers talking crapper looking for a fight. Never going back agian

I am not from the area and came here for a beer and ended up staying the whole night playing darts. Great service, great prices and great beer!

I come here a lot… More then I would like to admit! Good food, Cheap drinks and crazy people!

Coco Joe’s has been remodeled and looks really nice, Just wish they Updated the bathrooms. But it wont stop me from coming here to enjoy a cheap drinks with cool people.

I think this business information needs to be updated since it’s not actually a Pasta restaurant. Coco Joe is actually a little dive bar with some lunch specials that aren’t bad. It’s pretty much home made stuff… they have a burger special on tuesdays for $ 3.95 and Taco’s on thursdays for a buck. The lady who works during lunch is really nice and for the price, you can’t beat it. Certainly beats grabbing something from Jack in the Crack or Dairy Queen down the street.
