Not much to say after a dear friend is directed to the wrong table based on the color of her skin. Doesn’t matter if the free brunch cocktail was a nice touch or the lack of music was eerie or the service was rushed after we ordered… The host made an appalling assumption that my friend had to be coming in to join the one table which was at the time the only table of Black patrons. I mean, why would she be joining anyone else, right? This after being told we were expecting late guests– funny how the other 2 guests made it to our table okay… And this, after my friend told the host our table was at the back of the restaurant. Instead, he sent her upstairs. He insisted her party was upstairs. Needless to say, once I heard about her experience, nothing else mattered about the restaurant. We are not going back. I don’t think anyone should go back.

Once a year we receive a coupon in the mail for Buy-one-entrée-get-one-free at Warehouse and take the chance to treat ourselves filet mignon. warehouse does a wonderful job at making you feel special. The atmosphere is great, especially in the front room by the window. This year, I accidentally dropped my steak on the floor(incredibly embarrassing, don’t ask) and they happily made me a new steak and the manager personally came by to be sure it was ok. The second steak was even better than the first so I felt like I lucked out!

I love this place… my go to place whether it’s a date, or special occasion like a birthday. I came today on monday, 11⁄16 and had my favorite dish — the trout orleans. And the pecan pie with that Chantilly cream. I could eat that every single day! Lol. And the service is always exceptional. :)

Meh. We are from out of town and stumbled upon this restaurant for brunch because there was no wait. Not surprising because it’s nothing special. At first glance you walk in and see cloth tablecloths and waiters in ties and think it’s sort of fancy. But unfortunately the service was more than lacking, ours had no personality and was not at all hospitable. I had a crab cake sandwich and my husband had a friend oyster sandwich, both with fries. Everything was lacking seasoning. The seafood was seemingly good but everything needed to be seasoned. I’ve never used salt and pepper shakers at a restaurant so much. Overall, nothing was BAD but nothing was good. It was just«meh». Will not be back the next time we’re in town.

Yesterday me and my husband was having dinner to celebrate my husband’s birthday. I made a reservation via and I have mentioned that I would like to have a window-side table. When we get there our table was reserved as expected, until then everything was so good, restaurant, menu, the ambiance, white cloth tables … And we were asked for starter drinks and we did not have anything except water. Suddenly server’s attitude has changed, he took a tough attitude toward us. It was special day for us and the server just ruined our night. Anyway we ordered our meals(filet mignon steak with fresh asparagus and smash potatoes and grilled salmon with smash potatoes and grilled vegetables) By the way food quality and taste was just perfect. We paid $ 90 including meals, a desert and a drink. After the server served our meals when we thank him for his serving, he was like«Yes…» What kind of answer is that ??? I can’t accept that and during the dinner he was almost rude all the time. Normally I am not kind of a person that complains about everything, this is the first time in my life I am writing a comment… After we are done with our meals and the desert server brought the check without even asking«How was your dinner» or «Will there be more». I am not sure is this the common behaviour in United States(it has been 6 months since I moved to US and didn’t see such thing before so I don’t think this is how it works.) In Europe or almost in any other place in the world bringing check without asking kindly means «Please leave». Maybe I could understand this behaviour if there are people waiting for available tables but that was not the case. I wouldn’t comment here if it wasn’t an important night out dinner for us but I want to let other people know the situation so you can take it into consideration while choosing the restaurant for your special days, having fun without being upset.

I was surprised this place only has 3 ½ stars. I give more like 4 ½ or 5. The seafood is DELICIOUS. So many great choices that it was hard to choose. After asking the server for a recommendation, I decided on the crab cakes and I’m sure glad I did. Pure lump crab with no filling. Lightly fried to perfection. They also put lump crab on top. However, my 2 friends meals were the highlight of dinner– salmon with lobster meat with a champagne sauce. It was so fresh and delicious that my friend wanted to lick the plate. Service was on point as well. The name does not do justice for this place– it is definitely an upscale restaurant.

TERRIBLE customer service! We stepped in earlier tonight and walked up to the host and asked for a table for two. He just says, «I don’t have any room for you.» I’ve never experienced a restaurant shooing people away. So rude!!! We then went down to The Wharf which was equally crowded but they were courteous and polite and made room for us. We ended up having a delicious meal and a wonderful night regardless. But really put off by to rudeness at this restaurant!

As a general rule, avoid restaurants with anything less than 4 stars on Unilocal. On the rare occasion, a less than 4 star rating will help set expectations low and then exceed expectations when the restaurant over delivers. This restaurant did just that. It’s in Old Town Alexandria, which is beautiful in and of itself. The service was spot on. Friendly and attentive staff. Their drink menu is expensive and they have the self proclaimed best crab cakes in the area. After ordering the crab cake myself, I’d definitely rank it in my top 3 in the DC area(Founding Farmers makes a mean crab cake too!). I wouldn’t search this place out but it does exceed expectations.

A great place to celebrate a special occasion like mine & Dora’s birthday. Eduardo provided our party of five with excellent service. It was restaurant week so most everyone opted for the $ 35 menu. I had the crab stuffed flounder which was excellent. If you bring your own wine they have a $ 25 corking fee. We got a nice private little nook on the 1st floor which was perfect.

Nice upscale restaurant and atmosphere. Decent waiter service(sometimes distracted while interacting with us, such as describing specials). Pretty pricey, but probably in-line with other restaurants nearby. Great location on a street busy with nightlife. The fare is sort-of cajun, along with other standard meat/seafood options. I ate the salmon special(horseradish crusted), and it was cooked perfectly. My wife enjoyed a steak cooked correctly to medium-rare. Others at our table enjoyed the half a lobster, stuffed with shrimp and other seafood. No one had any complaints about the food, and we all walked away full. We both had bowls of she-crab soup, which is one of my favorites, and it was delicious and chunky(hopefully from crab bits). Dessert(chocolate flour-free cake and strawberries in chantilly cream) was nothing special. We had about 2 beers each, with a small selection on draft(only 3 choices). When one beer came out opaque due to changing a new keg, they were happy to replace it. Parking is a little tricky in the busy tourist area. A couple blocks north or south of King St has 2 hour parking for free(without resident pass), except Sundays I think. On/near King St has meter spots for $ 1.75/hour, with a 2 hour limit(so I had to leave mid-meal and re-feed the meter). You print a ticket and put it in your window. Street parking is busy, and I have heard there are some affordable parking garages nearby(maybe $ 5/evening). I had no complaints, but next time I’m in the area, I’ll probably try one of the(many) other restaurants on King Street, just to compare and experiment. That said, if you’re looking for a nice meal out, this is worth a try.

My husband and business partner were invited to dinner with two potential international clients. The food was good and service okay until the check was paid. The host picked up the tab and left a small but okay tip. Unfortunately the server. Brahman, thought it was necessary to follow up with very unprofessional attitude because he didn’t get the tip he expected. He said, «what is wrong with this guy». He frowned and threw the check in front of the host and loudly said«what is this? I took care of you!» The restaurant needs to update their server’s customer service training.

I was really looking forward to trying this spot for brunch based on their Louisiana centered menu. We stopped in for brunch and I was a bit disappointed. The shining star of this place was their great service. I ordered the crawfish beignets and they were far too heavy and salty. The salad I ordered was supposed to have seasonal greens and spring onions. It was iceberg and red onion. It looked so bland and tasted bland as well. The eggs benedicts my friends enjoyed were quite good and their crab was nice and fresh.

Have walked past the warehouse numerous times and wanted to try it. It’s called a bar and grill but seems To try to be a bit more upscale with white table clothes and bow-tied servers. The draft list is minimal and disappointing. The wine list has a bit more to offer. Two of us had the crab cake sandwich. Crab cakes were deeply fried(the only option), rather than broiled. There was also a disproportionate filling to crab ratio. Tarter sauce was very soupy, almost dressing-like viscosity. The sandwich came with a side of fries, which were definitely of the frozen variety. The remainder of our party had the fried oyster sandwich, which they seemed to enjoy. $ 100 for sandwiches and beers for four people definitely puts The Warehouse in the overpriced and overhyped range. Then again it’s in the heart of the king street tourist trap area, so it fits right in with some of the other subpar eateries in the neighborhood.

Came here for a very belated mother’s day lunch with my mom and sister. We wanted to try something new and found this place in Old Town. We had 12:45 reservations and this place was hopping. I would heartily recommend a reservations and don’t bring a stroller in here. Kids would be fine but it’s a narrow place. We started off with peach bellini’s which were delicious. I got the french toast with strawberries and cream. My mom got the friend catfish with strawberries and cream. My sister got the hamburger. We all cleared our plates. Seriously. It was very, very good. What a great find. And the prices were okay. Not surprised that it was a little pricey but still worth it.

I went to the Warehouse bar and grill with a southern friend who had high press with the authentic creole menu here including his pork dish. We both had what we agree was lucious crab soup, For my entrée, i had a nicely done crab stuffed flounder. The atmosphere is slightly over formal(tuxedo’d waters are so 1915!) but friendly nonetheless, and a very nice classic experience.

Warehouse has an odd ambiance that I wasn’t expecting. The place is white tablecloth, low ceilings, and a little musty inside. However, not bad musty, somewhat cozy may be a better way to describe it. The food has a heavy focus on seafood entrees. Service was great, very friendly, felt like a family type atmosphere. The crowd was a bit on the older side(we were likely the youngest in the place, most over the age of 60 it seemed like). The food was good, nothing earth shattering but nothing that we had was bad. We would come back again, but I think there are likely better spots on King for the same price if I had to pick again.

I went here on a Saturday for brunch and ordered their Eggs Benedict, with strawberries and double cream. They gave me the option of choosing between champagne or strawberries, but I chose the strawberries… and I would recommend choosing the strawberries! The cream wasn’t too sweet and I believe it was sprinkled with cinnamon. :) Customer service was slow, but friendly. Great interior and good food. I’m used to eating Eggs Benedict with a salad, but this place gives you steamed vegetables. That definitely threw me off. But salad would be my preference. Conveniently located in the heart of Old Town, very close to the harbor and surrounded by cute boutiques!

Such a Devine and wonderful restaurant! I admire the waiters as they do whatever they can to make the experience memorable. The food and flavoring is great on your palette and I’d come back again for breakfast/brunch. Each order comes with a complimentary champagne & strawberries or strawberries & cream. The crab and eggs Benedict is just DELICIOUSLYADDICTING.

We stopped here for lunch on the way to DCA and our flight home. We intended to eat somewhere else, but they were closed. Lucky for us! We were immediately welcomed and seated. Our waiter brought us hot tea while we perused the menu, and we thought we were ready to order. He rolled through a number of daily specials, and almost as an afterthought said, «yes, we also have a lobster Cobb Salad». We both ordered that. I’m am now spoiled for Cobb Salad. The avocado was fresh, the bacon crisp, and the greens and lobster was super fresh. This was the best Cobb salad I’ve had, ever. Our waiter and the entire staff was helpful and friendly. This was the perfect lunch stop before our flight. Next time we fly into DCA, we will make a beeline for this place.

I’m going to give Warehouse a since I have mixed feelings about this place. Arrived at the Warehouse about 10 minutes prior to our 7pm reservation for 4, which I told the host we only had 3. He was quite courteous and helpful and let us know we would have to wait a few minutes. We were pretty much promptly seated at 7pm. The waiter came over to the table, his English was not the best but mostly understandable. Aside from having a bit of difficulty understanding him explain the special, the service was quite good. The food was a bit of a mixed bag. For apps we shared the crab cakes and the cajun fritto misto. The crab cakes were about the size of a half dollar in diameter and about an inch high. They were okay… Nothing to rave about, but at $ 7 a bite I would expect a little bit more. The cajun fritto misto, aside from having some items stuck together, the batter tasted amazing. Loved the seasoning. After enjoying the appetizers, having one average appetizer and one incredible one, my bar was set pretty high for the entrees. For my entrée I had the stuffed flounder. It was okay, the fish was overcooked in areas but overall not completely terrible. The dessert menu was actually quite interesting and we ended up ordering the bread pudding and the tres leches cake. Both were very disappointing. The bread pudding was not really bread pudding. It was definitely more bread than it was pudding, in that I felt as if it were too dry to be bread pudding. The tres leches cake was okay… but again nothing to rave about. If I were to do it again I would have left without the dessert. I liked the service here, the appetizers were pretty good, the entrees were average and the dessert, could definitely live without.
