Owners are snobby and rude, even to people who obviously live in the neighborhood. The only silver lining is the employees that work at the counter. They are generally very friendly and helpful. It’s really too bad since this is a neighborhood place.

Consistently great service at this UPS Store. Friendly neighborhood feel but at the same time efficient and effective in meeting my business and personal shipping and packing needs. I know they also offer a number of other services, such as printing and notary, that I hope to use in the future.

Went in for passport photo. Was told to wait. So i did. After the dude took care of 4 customers who dribbled in after me, I went to the counter and finally he came over with the camera. He had that same face as when i ask my 15 year old to clean her dirty bathroom. Got my images and free crappy tude from staff. Nice way to treat people (and you get bonus negative for treating a veteran on veterans day like crap). Tnx

I needed to send some stuff to my mother-​in-​law, and these guys had all the packing supplies I needed. Then they found me the cheapest rate and were extremely helpful in getting everything sent. Quick, easy and convenient. I’ll be back for all my mailing/​shipping needs.

Great customer service here. Had my photo taken by a Mr. Nick today – witty, handsome, AND tech savvy! He can put his package in my box any day. Definitely will return for my all future shipping needs.

Went in today to get my passport picture retaken. A Mr. Nick helped me with the picture and was extremely kind and professional. Would recommend these guys to anyone in AVA. Keep up the great work!

These guys are awesome and always on top of things! I can be assured that if I’m just dropping off a package that’s already prepaid, I won’t be standing in line very long just to get a receipt.
Every time I’ve visited I’m always asked if I’m just dropping off and am attended to right away. Great, friendly, and fast service.
Parking can sometimes be tricky. It’s hit and miss, depending on the time of day you plan on stopping by. I’ve found that there’s ample free 2 hour street side parking next to the Yoga studio between 2:30 and 3:00 p.m., which is a very short walk away.

Never used UPS before and I’m glad I came here because they have great customer service, and street parking is limited but it’s not that bad. In and out within 15 for shipping a very large package for the first time. Will be going back soon even though I live in DC and it’s about a 15 minutes commute it’s worth it.

I have to admit it: I’m more of a USPS kind of gal myself. Or so I thought before coming here… I must say that this is one of the nicest postal branches of any service I’ve ever been to. And I mean nice in both the sense that the employees were great and the store itself was in awesome condition.
I came here to get fingerprinted. I had called ahead to confirm that they had that service available (the person on the phone was very helpful and courteous). Someone was able to help me right away. I had printed out a (flimsy) paper fingerprinting sheet, but the UPS store provided one for me, made of strong cardstock. I’m glad we used that because I think the ink may have bled through otherwise. The person taking the prints was apparently certified to do so (at least that’s what the stamp he used and signed said). The total was $ 14.95, which is about $ 5 more than getting it done at the police station, but for the service here and the cardstock (the police station makes you bring your own) it’s worth the extra few bucks.
Though the store was small, it definitely suited my needs perfectly! I came in on a dreary Tuesday afternoon, so that may have explained why the store was like a ghost town… I liked how quiet and empty it was (a nice contrast to the local USPS) and that everyone was actually doing their job. The entire process was so fast (partially because it was empty and partially because of the great workers).
And the store was super clean too. Like, freshly vacuumed, everything wiped down clean. Plus it smelled like copy machines. (You know that smell from the hot paper after running through the machine? I hope you do and I’m not just crazy…) I definitely will be back again! And I may even ship a package here every once in a while.

I had a business letter that needed next day delivery and I was provided the correct envelope and address label and when I went into the store they said they’d get it delivered the next day and just as I was leaving, asked me if I needed a receipt. Which I’d forgotten to ask for. The clerk was friendly and professional and seemed to know what he was doing. This is the kind of service you can’t always get at copy places, so that’s why it’s getting 4-​stars!

I always get prompt and courteous service here. Although it’s a nationwide name, you get treated as though it’s a «mom&pop» operation that takes care of your needs.

This UPS location is far and away the BEST one in the area. They are happy and helpful and pleasant to do business with. UPS stores are independently owned and operated come to find out so I’d much rather give my business to this store who appreciates their customers and knows how to run a successful business than the other UPS location in Old Town that seems to delight in being rude and unhelpful.

I have used these guys to send thing to my kids in college. They are great, hands down.

I have been a happy customer of our local UPS Store for over six years.
During this time, they have consistently exceeded my expectations.
With a son in college in Colorado, I have shipped lots of expensive and sensitive musical equipment. It always arrives intact and on-​time, and I receive status updates (including delivery time) via text and email.
I was pleasantly surprised to find how many services our local UPS store provides, including personal mailing address (on Mt. Vernon Avenue) with 24-​hour access, copying services (including color), business cards and supplies and personal computer workspace with wifi access.
Owners Linda and Steve Hubbard give new meaning to Customer Service. Your challenge is their challenge, and they can always find a solution to your shipping or business needs.

This UPS store is well stocked, well run, and goes way above and beyond the service one could reasonably expect. Unfortunately, I discovered it only as I was preparing to move out of state — better late than never, right? I suspected that some of my book boxes might not fit into the shipping cube I had arranged, and that I would need to ship them another way. Anticipating that the boxes would be too heavy for me to handle, I called the store to see if UPS would pick up. The answer was, not unless I had an account. Too bad! However, in the next breath, the manager asked my address and offered to come pick up the book boxes himself if I would call when they were ready. A few days later, that’s exactly what he did. He turned what could have been a headache into a quick, painless operation that worked out perfectly. I felt very grateful for the unexpected help. If and when I move back to N. Virginia, this is the only UPS store I’ll be patronizing.

We moved to Del Ray a couple years ago and are just off Mount Vernon. We wanted a safe. convenient place that we could ship wine to and we found it, the UPS store! Everyone there is friendly, attentive and often will follow me to my car if I have heavy boxes to carry. They were also amazing when I needed to find and stop the delivery of a UPS package bound to Minnesota. I couldn’t say enough good things about this location, amazing!

I want to like this place so bad but I have to say I’m constantly disappointed in the lack of service. Last time I popped in to mail a small package the woman behind the counter was helping someone make copies — and I’m talking individual, let’s review each one before the next, sloooow copies. I, and another gentleman in line, must have waited ten minutes before she even looked up to tell us she’d be with us soon. I couldn’t help but notice several employees in the back also ignoring us. Does only one person know how to work the register? I love Del Ray and I like the location of this UPS, but I’m just never impressed. Meh.

I felt compelled to write a 5 star review for this place. Simply put, this is the single best UPS store I have ever used. And I have used *many* UPS stores, as well as FedEx and USPS locations in the line of work and cross country moves. This is like the standard for what a UPS store *should* be. I wish every UPS store I used could be like the Del Ray location. I am not even kidding in my appreciation of this particular UPS store.
The 3 star review below me is not an accurate or fair reflection at all of the Del Ray UPS location. UPS prices are set by the corporate office, so it’s not really fair to single out a single store for pricing. The difference is that each individual UPS location is run by a franchisee so each location is very different in terms of competence, service, and customer care.

) which has TEN 1-​star reviews. Some UPS locations suck unbelievable donkey parts because they are managed and run by napoleonic troglodytes and their uneducated minions.
Not this location!
Every time I used the Del Ray UPS, the employees were incredibly friendly and helpful. The store itself is clean and spacious and very well lit with natural sunlight. The employees are very well trained and also proactive, they don’t stare blankly at you or their computer screen and they actively work with you to solve problems. They even had a customer appreciation day when I went in once where they had a platter of sandwiches available. Who does that these days?
I love this UPS location. It fits in very well with the «small town» neighborhood vibe of Del Ray, and yes, you can grab a frozen custard at Fairy Godmother’s next door when you’re done shipping. :D

1 star for box pricing, 5 stars for friendly service.
I popped in here because they have a display out front that says «We Sell Boxes» and I didn’t want to drive to the Container Store or Staples. They’re conveniently located next door to Dairy Godmother.
Guess what? A large box is $ 10. I think not. I got one the same size at the Container Store for $ 3.49. What on earth are they thinking?
The very nice man behind the counter tried to help — he said «But they are VERY sturdy boxes.»
