Great selection, good prices, friendly staff! This store has a wonderful selection, even some pipes blown by local artists. The prices were comparable to other shops and the service was outstanding. The associate who helped us was patient, knowledgeable, and personable. Some people have said that this place has a crappy parking situation… welcome to Old Town. It’s a downtown location, what are people expecting? The other point is about them requesting IDs. We were not harassed for IDs upon entering, but then again we don’t look under 25. If you are asked for your ID, relax, they are just doing their job. Overall, great place that we’ll be frequenting!

I had a great experience at The Glass Stache today. I emailed the shop earlier about checking out some Roor pipes. Quinn remembered me/​my email when I walked in the door and rattled off the specs that I was looking for. Awesome. He remembered. Everyone was super chill and let me take my time examining the pieces. I was happy with their selection in pipes and accessories and found everyone very helpful and knowledgable.
Thanks Glass Stache, my dude will have a great birthday thanks to you. :)
As an aside on the parking situation… just park in the paid public parking garages. Don’t waste your time on stressing out. :)

Wow. What an amazing experience. This was my first time here and I was truly impressed with the level of knowledge and professionalism the employees and owner showed. They made my first glass purchase a pleasant one. I would recommend this shop to anyone!

This place made me very uncomfortable.
I understand you need an ID, but please do not attack us the millisecond we walk through the door with a harsh demeanor.
The whole time the two employees just stood there staring at us. The place is the size of my bathroom, so it was already extremely awkward.
I saw a pipe I really liked and called it a chillum to my friend. One of the employees decided to chime in to our conversation and ask to me to correct myself.
… A chillum is just another word for a pipe.
Hell I can smoke out of a coca-​cola can if I wanted to.
Don’t put your two cents in my conversations, all you should be doing is helping us find a piece.

Great experience and very helpful/​friendly staff… the guy was able to read people pretty well because he could tell how clumsy we were and helped point us in a direction of something more durable. ha! we even had a little joke going about the lovely gentlemen who were next to us. You could say that they were a bit more «professional» than us but the sales associate was there to help us.

Great selection from local artists. Products range from small and on the go to large pieces you’d invest in for your home. Pricing is very fair– I thought my purchases were a great deal. Staff is super friendly and very knowledgable. Highly recommend.

Very nice glass store! Friendly staff and an awesome owner. Purchased a toro which had a defect i later discovered and the owner happily made an exchange. I’ve been a happy customer for years and will continue to support their business. Definitely give them a visit for your next piece!

I really enjoy this shop, they have a very knowledgeable staff and a wide selection of pipes and a few high quality vaporizers. They are also one of the few places in the area that have hookah steam stones. If you haven’t tried them and are looking for a new twist to your hookah experience, I suggest swinging by and picking up a jar.

This cute shop has the same charm as the rest of Old Town Alexandria. It’s off N. Lee street in a pretty location. Please remember that you will need to parallel park. which you’ll know if you’ve visited the area before.
I walked in with my ID ready (a given with glass shops) and was greeted with a friendly smile at the door.
They were not pushy with the sales. I knew what I wanted and they made small suggestions here and there. I liked the pipes. They’re high quality and locally made. The prices are similar to DC, so don’t expect cheap. I consider my glass an investment, so I was content with the selection and prices. I spent $ 24 for my pipe.
I enjoyed talking to them briefly during my visit and plan to return in the future.
(Also, you can take the bad reviews very lightly. Come ready with your ID and keep inappropriate chit chat to yourself. You’ll be good to go.)

Awesome place… very friendly staff .
I went this morning because I wanted a toro pipe but they were a little pricey … But the girl who was helping me (I forgot to catch the girl’s name) pointed to me another one that was as good as the toro and half the price… and she also helped me getting everything that I needed.
It was my first time and I have a great experience. I’ll definitely come back.

Amazing experience. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Felt right at home immediately upon entering the store. If you live in the DC area this is the only place to even bother going if you want a great experience and awesome inventory. I Was helped by a girl named Teresa (sorry if I spelled it wrong) who was truly interested in giving me the best honest information possible and not just interested in making a sale. She was extremely cool and upbeat as were the other employees. Thanks for all the help. I will be back. Highly recommend.

I have fun and learn something new each time I go into this store! It’s located in Old Town Alexandria and benefits from all the cool hipster’ish people who frequent the café next door. Who doesn’t love a place with «Stache» in the name?! My first time in, I was a curious novice with TONS of questions. They actually enjoyed answering them. We talked, laughed, and before I knew it $ 80 had jumped out of my purse and into their register.
The store is a tad small and can get cramped, but it’s cool. It makes you feel like you’re shopping among friends.
If you’re evenly REMOTELY curious about the smoke accessories, check this place out. Buy a glass pipe & support a local artist!

Nice little shop with good products and friendly staff. They could be a little more diligent explaining their rules fully so they don’t have to kick customers out of the store for unwittingly saying things they shouldn’t, though.
This is why I really like them: Once I made a purchase and it broke the same night that it was bought. When I went in the next day to buy a new one, upon hearing my story, they were kind enough to sell me a replacement at cost.
I definitely recommend The Glass Stache!

There isn’t a more perfect place to meet all of your tobacco pipe dreams, from amazing heady pieces & Roor water pipes to spoons & your favorite papers this is the place to go. The owners are most definitely some of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet, super knowledgeable and more than willing to answer any of your questions and get you set up with everything you need.
Go in! They have an awesome selection and it will be your new favorite place for all your tobacco needs in NOVA. :)
