Stephen was amazing to work with! He photographed our wedding this weekend in Occoquan, VA. We spoke a couple times and he was very quick to respond when I emailed him prior to the wedding. His rates are very reasonable and he was able to accommodate our vision of a laid back wedding. We didn’t want a lot of staged photos and preferred more candid ones. I can’t wait to see the final pics he took!

I adore Stephen. He did head shots for me and documented my best friend’s kid’s birthday party. Stephen is laid back and unobtrusive. He has a great background in portrait work but also has the talent to document an event in a photo journalistic style. You won’t be disappointed — so book him now!

I’m a multimedia producer by day so when it came time to hire a wedding photographer, I was pretty picky. Stephen was up to the challenge and we absolutely love our wedding photos.
As soon as we met with Stephen, we immediately loved his laidback style… and British accent :) He really understood us as a couple and his go with the flow attitude was just what we were looking for.
His photojournalistic style was perfect for our 100 person wedding at an outdoor venue and he really captured the moments and the details (with a killer 50 mm f/1.2 lens I’ll add) that our made our day so wonderful.

Stephen Gosling is wedding photography GOLD. We hired Stephen for our engagement pictures in May of 2012. The first thing you notice about Stephen is how focused he is; he wanted to capture exactly how we were as a couple. We never felt too posed. He not only helped to coax beautiful pictures out of us he made us feel comfortable and confident that the pictures would turn out great. Once we saw how amazing our pictures were, we knew we would use him again for our wedding in March 2013. We met with Stephen a few times pre-​wedding to discuss details and shots that we wanted. He is extremely diligent about making sure he had the timeline of our day and even made a trip out to our venue to discuss locations for shots in order to make the day go smoothly. I felt confident going into our wedding that he would be on time, on point and create beautiful photos. You can’t beat Stephen’s day-​of attention though. He made both myself and my husband feel like the wedding was indeed ours. After so much planning and making sure everyone would enjoy our wedding, it was refreshing to see that there was truly someone there that was completely focused on us. He helped to keep me as the bride in check of what the day was for when small things went awry, and even kept the bridesmaids in check when their opinions and posing didn’t gel with what we had in mind. He connected with us throughout the night to make sure we were getting the shots we wanted without tearing us away from our night. At the end of the day our pictures turned out more amazing than I even imagined and we were more than pleased with Stephen as an addition to our day. Our posed pictures came out fantastic and our candid shots captured the fun of the day. We used Stephen for our engagement photos and wedding photos for our destination wedding in Puerto Rico. All I can say is «wow!» Not only is he an absolute pleasure to be around (making brides feel relaxed and beautiful!) but the quality of his work is top notch. Our photos are absolutely gorgeous and really capture the vibe of our wedding – romantic and FUN! He even woke up early the day after our epic party and took us to Old San Juan to for some newlywed shots. With the climate, I was worried that all our photos would be me sweating profusely and looking terrible. Had we hired a less skilled photographer, that almost surely would have been the case. But luckily, we had Stephen who made certain that every photograph captured us at our best. My husband and I just welcomed a baby boy and I can’t wait to share these photos with him when he is older.

Stephen was a great addition to our wedding day, as was his assistant. We used him for two days since we split the ceremony and reception. He was very professional, easy going, and flexible-​going with the flow. The day of the ceremony he kept the group focused for group shots and the day of the reception he got great candid shots of pretty much EVERYONE, but he was never noticeable or in the way. He was exactly what we wanted the day (s) of the event and after as well. The product was of high quality and exactly what we wanted. We could NOT be happier. Thanks so much!
