Another 5 star review! Let me just say that Kelly is fabulous. She is knowledgable, generous, and very good. For example, last time I brought my new foam roller and she showed me different ways to use it to get at the pain in my leg. I was able to practice it at home and it helped.
I leave this place feeling awesome all due to the 1hour deep tissue massage. Highly recommend Pure Aesthetica and Kelly!

I had the Signature LED Facial which was amazing! Your first visit is 50% off! Even with a white noise machine I could hear everyone talking at the front desk while getting my facial. I would have liked my eye covered during the facial. It was only done so during the LED part but light still steeped in underneath which I thought wasn’t safe.

I really like it here. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is calming, and I’ve been twice thus far for facials and haven’t felt pressured to reschedule or buy packages or products. I’ve been seen by two different aestheticians for two different types of facials and thoroughly enjoyed both services.
One thing to note: both days I’ve been here, it’s been pretty sunny and though the lights are off and the curtains are closed, the treatment rooms have been somewhat light as well. This doesn’t bother me as my eyes are closed during the session, but if you’re the type of person who likes a DARK room when getting massages or facials, it’s worth being aware of.
That being said, you can’t beat the 50% off introductory offer in order to find out if you’re going to like the services and atmosphere enough to re-​book. Obviously, I did and feel like I’m well on my way to treating my skin better and for it to be looking better.

I got engaged a few months ago and everyone told me a year out go to an aesthetician to have them evaluate my skin to make sure it is wedding ready. I also recently had a not so great experience elsewhere where my eyebrows were overwaxed and needed to get that fixed as well. After much research I booked an appointment online for a eyebrow shaping with Crystal and and facial with Jeannie.
Their location is not «spa» like but for my purposes of wanting to relax and have my skin taken care of on a regular basis I was fine with that. I don’t need the bell and whistles of fancy décor as long as I’m relaxed and my services are good.
Crystal was great when we first met as I explained what happened and evaluated what was going on with my eyebrows explained what she would do and what the way forward was with getting them back to the way they should be. She let me know that this was going to be a process and that i would have to be patient. Well I have been seeing her for the last four months and I have say it has been a slow process by no fault of her. If it was as easy to grow them out as it is for one over zealous waxer to take your brow off then many of would be so lucky. She is kind and take time with her work which I really appreciate.
When I booked my appointment online with Jeannie I just booked what I thought would be best. When I arrived Jeannie had me sit down and evaluated my skin and made suggestions for what facial would work best for me vs just going with what I chose online. I got the LED facial and it was amazing. The next day I started to feel and see the changes to my skin. Jeannie is kind, caring and really listens to you and what you are looking to achieve. I have had a few facials with her and she always takes the time to explain the benefits of what each thing is and when i see her after a treatment she always asks what i liked or disliked so that she can make each experience better for me.
I have also appreciated that they both have not tried to force products on me. When I have run into a question about a product that I am using they have sometimes said to use a over the counter product and said we do have this item here that can help and it is up to you.
Both these ladies are amazing and I have seen improvements in my skin after going once a month for the past four months. Also I highly recommend the Pigment Punch Clarity Peal. Has done amazing things for skin. Short term it has been great but my continuing the treatments it has been huge improvement.

This is a tiny massage studio that offers wonderful, personalized service. Their introductory prices are a great deal, and they routinely run other specials that offer a good value. I’ve been here twice for prenatal massages and both were nothing short of miraculous. The first one was with John and second with Natasha– both were excellent. I even fell asleep for a few a few during Natasha’s massage– a first! I’m looking forward to trying a facial here too.

Terrific staff and excellent service. I had the 3 in 1 facial, quite indulgent and very effective. Crystal did a great job and explained the process at each step. There are a lot of day spas in Alexandria but I’ve found my favorite here

John is an incredible massage therapist! I had my first massage with him last week and felt like I had just finished a yoga class, gone on a week-​long vacation and had a relaxing massage all in one. He is extremely knowledgable, professional and creates a calming environment while reducing muscle tension and stress with great pressure. I felt absolutely amazing after my massage and would highly recommend him to everyone.

I treated myself to a 90 minute deep tissue massage with Natasha. I can not say enough great things! The atmosphere is very clean and calming with sound machines around so there is no noise from other people.
I told her my area spots and she successfully was able to get out A LOT of knots I have. She spent about 30 – 40 on my right neck/​shoulder area but still had enough time to massage my entire body in 90 minutes. There were many «kinks» to get out but I was very relaxed during and after the wonderful experience. 90 minutes is just enough time to fully appreciate the entire experience. I highly recommend Natasha for deep tissue massages!

I had the most blissful 90 Minute 3-​in-​1 Signature facial with Nely! It was the perfect combination of relaxing spa treatment with medical extractions and microderm. And the introductory rate for this 90 minute treatment is a total steal. I nearly fell asleep during the massage at the end and my skin literally glowed after the treatment. Wonderfully pleasant staff and nice, clean facility. Also loved the fresh juice shot and dehydrated pineapple at checkout– nice extra touch.

An excellent experience from start to finish. The online booking system is so easy. Jeannie did an amazing job — the best facial I’ve ever had. Michelle gave an awesome massage and really paid attention to what was ailing me. I will definitely be back!

John is an incredibly intuitive masseuse — his technique is superb and manner kind. I had asked for a Swedish style massage pointing out some tender areas. Cannot thank him enough for easing my body into complete relaxation without me uttering a word.
The facility is spotless with a relaxing atmosphere, as well as an impressive array of facial and beauty products and essential oils for sale. They also have a lymphatic drainage bouncer chair that increases detoxication after massages.
I cannot recommend this place more highly!

My boyfriend and I received their first time client $ 100 introductory offer for their «3 in 1 90 minute signature facial» earlier today. It was supposed to combine anti-​aging facial techniques such as micro dermabrasion & an oxygenating treatment with a «leave you stress free» head foot hand and neck massage. I expected to leave with glowing skin and so relaxed over the course of the 90 minutes (quiet long for a facial) I would feel like jelly: Turns out It was just «ok.» My skin didn’t feel or look particularly different or better afterwards. Same congested pores in my problems areas despite what seemed like the majority of the facial spent on extraction. I have had facials before all I’ve the world and understand certain aspects of the process such as extraction can be uncomfortable. There was no making up for that with other soothing aspects however, The microdermabrasion left my skin feeling overly dry and burning. Or maybe it was the toner? Either way I probably wouldn’t go back to try any further treatment options. And my therapist didn’t even mention any she thought would be a good fit for me after or during the procedure. I honestly worry that the Unilocal reviews are fake for this business after the mediocre experience I had here.

The process wasn’t particularly relaxing even though I mentioned to the aesthetician that I was there for more of a stress relieving experience. She talked A LOT, and kept slamming her hands down on the head rest to enunciate her points. I would describe her manner as educational instead of calming, fluid or thoughtful. I’m all about learning ways to care for my skin, but discuss them in the consultation before or after the procedure. The space itself is TINY and is on the second floor of a business building.
The room the procedure was in felt more like a doctors office then a spa. The lights weren’t dimmed, though there was some soothing music on.
The technician seemed a bit inexperienced, though I have to give her credit for seeming eager. At the beginning of the procedure she used a lot of buzz words and phrases like «this is your experience» but there wasn’t much follow through on those throughout the facial. This showed when she turned the bright spot light on my face with no warning and slammed the massage table into the upright position at the end of the treatment giving me an uncomfortable head rush, again with no warning. The whole process felt very «brusque» in general. I wish there was more explanation of the facial process consistently as we went along in addition to more checking in about my state. Example-​now I’ll be applying hot towels, now I’ll begin the oxygen spray phase of the facial (instead of no warning when she knows she’s about to spray you with icy cold oxygen vapors). Her tucking and draping skills were lacking and honestly left me feeling awkward and exposed throughout the procedure. I would have spoken up if she had given me the chance, but obviously my mouth area was getting worked on during the process which made it difficult to get a word in edgewise.
Also the description of the facial left out the 15 minute long «relaxation» period where the therapist abruptly leaves you in the room alone with wet lukewarm towels over your face with no explanation. The warming mittens they put on your hands and feet were out of place in my facial. I guess they felt nice for the first 3 minutes or so, but it was almost 90 degrees outside today. And she never turned them down or off. They got incredibly hot after she left the room during the «relaxation period» to the point where I started to feel so dehydrated and light headed I had to kick them off. My therapist was no where to be found and didn’t check in with me prior to dipping out. The combination of the hot mittens disabling your hands and feet with wet towels over your face felt more like what I imagine a water boarding feels like then a relaxing facial.
When it was finally all over I left feeling more tense and stressed then I was when I got there. They DO give you a shot of watermelon juice at the end when you’re paying though which was a nice touch.

After reading all of the great reviews I had to try this spa. It was absolutely wonderful! Natasha has a client for life!

I received a gift certificate for this place that I had no clue existed. I could not have been more thrilled. I can say that the massage I received here was probably the best massage I’ve ever had! I had Michelle for a 75min deep tissue massage and she used every second of that to ensure complete relaxation and kept a very pleasant and unwinding pressure the entire time!
This is also weird but they have a super delicious water there infused with maybe nutmeg and cinnamon. Overall, it was such a wonderful and relaxing experience and I look forward to getting a facial there with the rest of my gift certificate.

Saw Nely for the Signature 3 in 1 facial. It was amazing.
I arrived about half an hour early for my appt time and she was more than happy to take me earlier.
It was my first time at PA and I didn’t know what to expect. From the moment I walked in till the moment I left I was treated so warmly and felt so relaxed.
She is very honest and passionate about skincare. I asked her if I needed any of the additional add on peels and she was very honest and told me it wasn’t necessary. She even recommended a cheaper facial for next time since I did not need everything the Signature 3 in 1 facial offered. I love her honesty and professionalism.
It is clear that the employees here are passionate about their jobs, not just trying to make the most money.
I will be back every 4 – 6 weeks like Nely recommended.

Just finished an amazing signature three-​in-​one facial with Nely. She was attentive and explained everything, and she didn’t try to upsell me on anything I did not need or ask about. She did a few extractions and warned they would hurt, but I didn’t feel them at all! You can’t go wrong trying out this facial for $ 90 the first time, and there are other ways to save if you are into it. My skin is baby smooth. Loved it, loved Nely.

I’m pretty frugal, so it’s hard for me to cough up the $ for an expensive facial, but this place is worth it, without a doubt. The facials aren’t typical facials; they’re more the type that would be done at a dermatologists office (including peels and microderm). I’ve had both Jodi and Lori, and both have impressed me. I have also found the entire atmosphere to be authentic; they are more interested in service than sales!

I love this place! I’ve been searching for a knowledgeable esthetician that was affordable and I found both in Jody. She is amazing. Book with her, and you will get an actual consultation and plan to improve your complexion without having to endure the hard sell on their products during your entire appointment.
I had a massage with John and less than halfway through, I knew I had found my new masseuse. I get a 90 minute massage once a month. It’s hard for me to find a masseuse that does deep tissue while at the same time being relaxing. John has the perfect balance. The massage was outstanding!
I feel lucky that I found this place… I owe the Unilocal community. Thanks guys!

I cannot say enough good things about this spa. It is simply amazing. The women here are so sweet, professional and very helpful. They have always treated me so well and answered all of my questions. Jodi, the owner, is fantastic. I went off the birth control pill two months ago and my skin went nuts. I never had acne in my life before. With the LED light therapy here and some other recommendations from Jodi, I’m seeing good results. What I also love is that they use only natural products.
