History

Established in 2011.

Owners Jeff & Lynelle Lanoue opened Past & Present Home Gallery — «The Store with Character» in 2011. We have since expanded into 3 levels of shopping with over 13,000 sq ft of showroom. Located at 619 Broadway in Alexandria’s historic downtown, you will find an eclectic mix of Furniture, Antiques, Collectibles, Primitives, Man Cave items, Stained glass lamps, vintage Jewelry, Coins, North Woods items, Hickory and Barn wood furniture and many other conversation pieces rich in character.

We also buy, sell, repair and restore furniture. You’ll find many pieces throughout the store that have been given new life, whether it’s TLC, full restoration, painted to give it a new look or repurposed in some way.

The store itself is rich in character, from the original 1940 JC Penny’s sign uncovered, to the fur vault used by Barthelemy Furs in the lower level that was transformed into the «Man Cave.»

We truly have something for everyone, items from the past and present.
