Very standard Thai food. The staff are very nice. They have specials which they write on the blackboard(you can see it when you come in). You can ask them about it and they even show you pictures of how it looks like. I like their duck green curry. Their level of spicy is not really that spicy which is good. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, usually pretty empty. It’s a nice quite little place.

Ughh… stick to what you know about Thai foods… this being drunken noodles, basil fried rice, and yellow curry. Do NOT under any circumstance buy into their specials… they are awful, awful, and awful.

This place used to be much better; however I’ve noticed a decline in service, particularly if it’s a crowded weekday. The service was really slow(granted it was busy) but on top of that my stomach has been hurting since I ate there. Perhaps the food was not fully cooked. They just don’t seem ready for the lunchtime rushes

We had food delivered, which is a great service to have but 2 out of the 3 items we ordered were just not good. The Pad Thai has no flavor and is more sweet than anything. We ordered red curry and it was loaded with fish sauce. It tasted more like a soup and had the consistency of soup. I assume they make large quantities of basic sauces and maybe they mixed up the items but red curry should not be loaded with fish sauce. It was just terrible. The drunken noodles were good, they had a spicy kick. Portion sizes were small, especially for the price.

I went for dinner on friday and asked for a curry(#41). It was delicious even though a little bit pricy, but worth it. The staff was also very nice and we could even hang out till they close at night(which is so nice because sometimes another places push you to leave once you have paid).

I ordered the drunken noodles and it was good. The service was much faster than I anticipated given the other comments below. We had a very large party and the waitress was well organized and split the check for each person at the table and gave us our receipts in order. The food came out pretty quick as well. It was a bit pricey for the food in my opinion, but overall it was fine.

Great place, the Drunken Noodles were perfect. Sweet and spicy complimented nicely by the basil, peppers and onions. The satay chicken with peanut sauce appetizers are great. The service was impeccable and prices good. The only reason for four stars, I was only there once, I will be going back though.

Excellent Thai food. I love the chicken satay and peanut sauce. I had that and the pad see lew which was also phenomenal. Definitely will be going back.

The worst Thai food I’ve ever had. It tasted like an awful Chinese buffet that you always regret even having months later. The textures and taste were a great disappointment and I would never go back. Every time I drive by I just get upset.

Visited this place this evening after looking for a nearby restaurant to my hotel. This place was, ok. I’ve had better Thai and I have had worse – this was definitely middle of the road. I had an entrée, summer roll, a alcoholic drink, and mango and sticky rice. Bill came to around $ 35(without tip). The first three items were at the restaurant themselves. I took the dessert back to the hotel with me for later. The entrée and the sauce for the rolls were very gingery. More so then I really care for to be honest but still edible. The drink was tasty. The dessert was a little disappointing– super small portion and rice looked like it was pre-packaged. The restaurant was aesthetically nice but they had the a/c cranked. I was chilly and knew it wasn’t me because I heard several patrons complain about it. All in all I’m giving it 3 stars. It wasn’t an amazing dining experience but it did the job.

Gluten Free: Don’t even bother, only salad is guaranteed to be Gluten Free. Meats are marinated in soy sauce based marinade. Curries have 5% flour in their makeup. None of the fried rice dishes can be made without soy sauce. Coconut Milk has preservatives, however, none of the coconut Milk i’ve ever bought from Asian markets had a wheat based preservative.

Your average thai place. Nothing too fancy. You can always plan on getting a solid lunch here. Kind of pricy though but it’s close and convienent.

I got take out here the other night for dinner and was pretty satisfied with my meal. I got the pad kee mow with medium spice and it was the perfect spicyness level. My husband has ordered it normal in the past and said his mouth was on fire. He got the green curry and enjoyed. The noodles in the pad kee mow were a very large portion enough for leftovers. I can’t comment on the actual restaurant as I did not go in, but the food was good.

I wouldn’t get the calamari unless you are really craving it; they have much better appetizers. The calamari are decent little chunks of breaded and fried squid, but nothing special unless your are really craving it. Dinner take out is quick. Pad sew iew with beef(or any protein) is always good. Portions are big and easily split. Nice ambiance and decorations. Wasn’t busy on this Sat night, about half capacity.

Came here with the beau for lunch one day and we started off with the appetizer sampler. It was really good. My favorite was the crispy spring rolls. For my entrée, I ordered the chicken pad thai and it did not disappoint. I like my pad thai to have just enough sauce but not overloaded with it and it was just the right amount to coat my noodles. My fiancé got the drunken noodles and he was really happy with it as well. The service was really good and the restaurant was really nice on the inside. I will definitely have to come back for happy hour when I get the chance or even try more of their dishes.

My husband and I came here for lunch. Walking in the place was pretty full which is always a good sign. We were quickly seated and decided to share a couple of entrees and an order of crispy spring rolls. The food was served family style with extra plates to eat off of. I love eating this way and it is how most meals are eaten in Thailand. We ordered: Meal of Siam– Baked chicken with Green Papaya Salad and Sticky rice. I was surprised to see that they actually served sticky rice in a little bamboo container wrapped in plastic to allow for small portions to be taken out without the full dish becoming dried out. I wish the skin on the chicken would have been crisp, but the meat was tender and had good flavor. The green papaya salad had really great heat and flavor, it think they went a little overboard on the lime juice, but overall it was really good. Green Chicken Curry– Spicy and lots of flavor. All of the vegetables were cooked perfectly with just a hint of crispness still there. We will definately be coming back.

We were heading to the theater from Alexandria one night and needed a good, quick meal that didn’t require a reservation. Pasara Thai seemed like the obvious choice. Because Pasara Thai is in a business area, it isn’t nearly as crowded at night as it is during the lunchtime. We arrived around 5:30 p.m. on a Tuesday night and it was pretty empty. I started with a Tequila Sunrise made with tequila, orange juice, and grenadine. I don’t think I tasted any tequila and it was way too fruity for my taste buds. For my entrée, instead of ordering my normal kaprow tofu, I thought I’d try something new. I ordered the Spicy Eggplant and I’m glad I did. Made with Japanese eggplant, fried tofu, onions, and bell peppers with basil in a spicy bean sauce, it was scrumptious. All of the vegetables were cooked just right — soft, but not overcooked; and the sauce was very good. Chris ordered the Spinach Mushroom dish that was chock full of sauteed spinach, mushrooms, and beans sprouts in a light garlic sauce. This one was pretty good too, but it had a bit too many bean sprouts for me. We specifically requested no fish sauce in our meals and they were happy to accommodate. There are twelve vegetarian entrees to choose from including Pad Tofu, Sweet and Sour Tofu, Rama Jae, Veggie Delight, Ginger Broccoli Tofu, and Veggie Curry. So while the options were plentiful and the dishes were pretty good, the service was not. Even though the restaurant was empty, they barely checked on us. After 10 minutes of trying to flag them down to get the check, we finally just walked up to them and asked for it. It was pretty frustrating. So, if you are looking for good, reasonably priced Thai food, Pasara Thai is a great choice. Just don’t expect attentive service.

Mmmm. I finally found good Pad See Ew in the DC metro area! Major win for me! Despite not having a menu I could find on Unilocal or online(the website link here is broken,) I saw other Unilocalers say they had this dish, so I called it in and walked over from my office to pick it up for lunch. They told me 15 minutes, but it was ready when I arrived in 10, and thanks to the foil wrapping in the styrofoam box, it stayed warm the entire walk back to my desk and through my slow eating of it. For only $ 10.95, I got a decent portion of perfectly sauced flat noodles, broccoli, and white meat chicken. It wasn’t overly greasy or under-sauced or flavorless like every pad see ew I’ve had in this region. It was sooo good. The décor in here looked modern and kind of swanky, and with a full bar, it looked like a great place for dinner, too. For now, you can bet you’ll find me here pretty often for lunch!

Came here for lunch, and loved the atmosphere. Menus were a little beat up and the service was a tad slow. They took my order quick, but the food took a few extra minutes to get out, restaurant was a little busy, but not enough to constitute slow service. It was only the food that was slow. Very attentive wait staff. Food was great! Drunken noodles were EXTREMELY spicy!!! I love spicy food and have a high tolerance for spicy food, and this hit me hard, but still extremely flavorful. The two others with me loved their food as well. A tad pricey, but that may because I’m from California where we have a lot of Thai food available.
