I have long curly hair and went to Abby. She did an excellent job and I couldn’t be happier. She was very conscientious of not chopping off too much hair, which can be a problem at a lot of places. She also was careful to see how the hair fell when it was dry and didn’t just chop chop chop while it was hanging wet. Now my hair is beautiful, curly and shiny – perfect! I’ll definitely keep coming to her in the future.

Had a great experience with my 2.5 year old daughter getting her first haircut with Cindy. My daughter has super curly hair, and Cindy was skilled with both curls and kids. Pricey for a kids’ cut, but worth it not to risk mangling it. They have a separate kids’ area downstairs with a DVD player and a number of kids’ shows to choose from. They also gave us a cute certificate to commemorate the first haircut.

Marlene is great; she really listens to what you want your hair to look like!

Hanna has been doing my hair for a few years. She is the absolute best. When I moved to Northern Virginia I went through so many stylists. I am happy to find one that I can continue seeing for the long run. Her hair cuts always flatter my features and she does wonderful highlights. I feel like I never knew how good my hair could look!

Folks with curly hair – go see Hanna! I visited earlier this week to get a deva cut. I was skeptical when I left (and she warned me that curly hair freaks out when first cut) but this is THE BEST haircut I’ve had in my life! A few days in and I am so impressed at how the curls lay and the overall shape. As for the salon, everyone was friendly and they seemed to be running on schedule. Will certainly be back!

I absolutely love this salon! I get my hair colored every 4 weeks by Cindy so I frequent this quaint little place near Old Town. They have always been able to accommodate me when I need to change or alter my appointment. My hair dresser never double books where she can’t focus on me for my appointment time. The price is a little steep so beware of the $ 50 haircut no matter what policy (I just needed my dead ends trimmed, still $ 50) and the $ 25-​$ 30 to blow-​dry your hair. Other than that, lots of helpful staff and a comfortable atmosphere!

I have been going to Beverly at London Bob for almost a year now. I was new to the area and tried London Bob after a referral from a friend, and I cannot tell you how happy I am I decided to give it a try! My hair was damaged and splotchy dark brown/​black after an ill advised at-​home dye job. Over the course of the year Beverly has worked with me to make my hair healthier, longer (she taught me getting trims is SO important), and more importantly, LIGHTER! I get so excited when I step into the salon because I know I’m going to have an amazing time chatting with Beverly as she works her magic on my hair. I would recommend this salon, especially Beverly to ANYONE in the area!

After a few tries, I found a great salon in London Bob and an amazing stylist in Beverly. Always friendly, always comfortable, helpful, and accommodating, the staff is terrific. Beverly was so thoughtful about my style, not only doing great cuts and color, but really listening to understand who I am and helping to create a style that reflected me.

This is probably my fourth salon over the 3 years+ that I’ve lived in the DC area and I feel like I can finally stop looking! Abby has been doing my hair for about a year and has gotten me to the look I’ve been asking for and other stylists just couldn’t master. Nothing super complex… I have long layered hair and peaked bangs. I got bangs a while back in Atlanta and they were so thick and wrong that they never enhanced my face. Seemed to make me look worse. Abby knows her stuff though and we’ve been slowly but surely getting to the look I want as it grows. She has a plan for each stage and makes it look natural and intentional.
Not only is Abby great at what she does, the owner who answers the phone often is so upbeat and friendly, as are the girls who work at the front desk. And they support local dog rescues! Awesome all around!

Great salon with extremely nice owners and staff. Nice atmosphere. Kat (Cat?) does a great job and is fun to talk with!

It had been 8 months since I had gotten my hair cut, and it was finally time to get it under control. I had gone to London Bob before, but wandered away for different reasons. I am so glad I took the plunge and returned. The service was great. The folks there are super-​friendly. Abbee cut my hair, and it is a tough head of hair to manage. She asked all of the right questions, was very direct and to the point, and did an amazing job! I am happy to say that I cannot wait to go back in 8 weeks!

I’ve been going to Terry at London Bob for about six years now and she does an amazing job with my hard to tame hair. I look 10 years younger after a visit to Terry. Terry has also gone above and beyond the call of duty by showing me ways to blow dry, condition and add product to manage my mop. I’ve also had a manicure and pedicure there and they were the BEST I ever had. I have never had one bad experience at London Bob, not with the receptionists, managers, shampooers or anyone. It is a very efficiently run and friendly place. Terry is a wonder stylist.

Some hairdressers are nice, others barley say a word. I went to get an updo for prom, $ 100, it looks meh, Definitely not worth $ 100. There were two women at the counter, not friendly at all, barley acknowledged my existence. Come here for a trim but nothing fancy.

I’m giving this place two stars with my first time visit being decent. My second experience I walked out feeling belittled and crying. Long story short I had a full foil appointment with Pam in which I had a few pictures of what I wanted. Highlights/​ombré. Right as I was showing her the picture she ran to get the «manager» who talked me out of the color. I’m all for receiving feedback however I felt talked down to. I even asked lets just do highlights. What really got me is the first thing that came out of Pam’s mouth is «I don’t have time». With the ladies rationalizing that ombré wasn’t a good choice for my hair but willing to reschedule me for that treatment that I requested. Then I switched gears to highlights (as mentioned) and Pam persuaded to get something I want. So inform me that ombré wouldn’t be good option for my hair but offering to make an appointment to have it done? I felt like I After respectfully sitting there hearing suggestions and make «another appointment» I got up and left. I will make sure to book with a salon that has time. I just feel like they did not care.

Had my hair cut recently by Kat. I hadn’t had my long hair cut in over a year and it was a mess. She took the extra time it needed to rebalance the volume and gave me a new look with some layers that I asked for. On top of that, she’s just a nice person who listens to what you want.

First, London Bob Hair Design is highly sought after, so do not assume you will get a same day appt. on a SAT, but definitely try first thing in the AM b/​c I lucked out!
Today, I/​we/​Gina chopped 6, 7, or 8″ of my hair, added a few layers, a dash of bangs, and just a little color conditioning hair gloss treatment.

Love it! I needed to fix a Diva Cut I had at another salon and found Hanna at London Bob in my research. She was fantastic. I am so pleased with my cut and happy with the experience. I can now embrace my curls!

Cute looking salon, friendly counter staff, TERRIBLE hair. I’d read reviews and thought they were good at blonde.
I normal get a single process, but hair takes a while to lighten. Consultation: yeah, we can do that. Maybe some highlights too?
Day of: constant upsell, let’s do more highlights (id agreed to some and never get them) want a cut, do you a good price (um, no, and I want to see your color skills first).
Hair ended up with my roots a lighter shade of brown. Seriously I’d just paid to get brown roots ?? With weird highlights streaked through ?
I’d opted not to have a blow dry (broke person here) but expected them to rough dry my hair, not to send me out in the cold with wet hair, but nope.
And I tipped as I’m an idiot.
Moral of the story: Avoid. Unless you like looking like you’ve attempted reverse ombré.

I might be a little biased because I live across the street, but I’ve been coming here since I moved to Old Town in 2011. I like Cyndi (spelling?) a lot, but the times I have had other stylists have also ended up with good haircuts.
The folks at the front desk are also great.

Like it?». I loved it she did exactly what i asked for. I loved how they make sure if I felt comfortable and I was satisfied with my hair. Overall, I love this place!
