We have had an annual service contract with Krafft for over 30 years. Yes, over 30 years. Jeff is great. Always pleased, they recently outdid themselves. Our 57 year old house (and ductwork) could not keep the top floor cool without freezing downstairs. We asked for a special consult /​sales visit. J. Krafft spent over 2 hours checking this and that, and doing some math. He explained what could be changed for free, for hundreds, and for thousands. The free change completely solved the imbalance problem! Since we already had a variable speed fan motor, run the fan ²⁴⁄₇ (and close this door and keep top floor doors open). We always had fan linked to a/​c. Who knew? Krafft knew.

We solicited bids from four companies to replace our entire HVAC system in our home, and selected Krafft Service because of price and their reputation on Angie’s List and Unilocal.The installation was scheduled and completed as agreed, and the job site was clean when the team left. We had some problems with the condensation drain line (already in place), which caused the coil to not work properly, making the house very hot. Krafft’s scheduler, M. Swanger, sent two different staff members to fix the problem, but the coil would still not operate effectively. Jay Krafft (the owner) sent the company’s Operations Manager, who replaced the entire coil and set a plan to permanently fix the problem, with a very creative solution from Jay Krafft himself. Today, all works perfectly, and we could not be happier with the service, our new HVAC system, and the professional team from Krafft Service. Highly recommended.

I called another company for a problem with my dampers (sp) and was referred to Krafft. They came out and made adjustments, ensuring that I would be able to make adjustments myself in the future without having to schedule a service call. No gimmicks or tricks.

BUYER BEWARE!!! This company is a total rip off. A friend of mine used there service and recommended them to me since they had a service contract with them. Turns out they wanted to charge me over $ 2000 just to weld two refrigerant line together. This is something anyone that has taken high school shop could do and would cost $ 50 in tools and 30 minutes to do. Turns out my friend who recommended them to me also got ripped off.

We needed a bit of maintenance on our heating system before heading into winter this year.
Our experience with Krafft was quick, courteous, and effective. No complaints.
They charge a flat rate diagnostic fee (a charge to basically walk in your front door) but that’s pretty standard when dealing with a HVAC service.

Krafft rocks! I’ve been in denial for about a week that my A/​C must have been broken. Thought maybe it was me having early heat flashes. hehehe! Last night was the night I turned grumpy and miserable– inside the house was over 87 degrees at midnight.
Got a chance to call Krafft today– from work. Called them at 2:00. They asked if I could be home at 2:30. Hell yeah! Rushed home– they didn’t come until 4:45! Okay– that seriously, seriously, seriously irked me.
But — once the tech arrived, he was polite, great, thorough, fixed the problem right away with no BS. He also took the time to lay out my future options…(as my A/​C unit is 35 years old…) And only charged me the standard, walk in the door, service call fee– which itself was very fair at $ 96. No trying to rape the wallet today!
All in all, I’m happy. And now cool!
