This is a small convenience store which is great. They fit a lot of merchandise in there! The deli in the back is serious the best kept secret in Old Town. Their sandwiches are great. Today I got a turkey with cheddar on rye with mayonnaise and tomatoes. This came with two pieces of cheese(one on the top and one on the bottom), roasted turkey — not that slimy stuff you get most places, this actually had some texture, and gorgeous perfectly ripe slices of tomato. When was the last time you got a sandwich at the deli with a slice of tomato that was actually red? Not orangish yellow but actually red like a good tomato should be? Go in and try their deli.

These people are terrible. Most of their products are expired by months and their milk is always several days expired. They have no morals to try to sell food that old.

This is a tiny little family owned and run convenience store with wine and lottery and basic convenience store type stuff… but the staff has always gone out of its way to make sure I have everything I need. They have wine tastings here — even if you’re the only one in the store, they’ll invite you to the back to have a drink. Really knowledgeable about their offerings, too. Tonight I came in for some last minute bubbly for New Year’s, and as I was checking out, the owner noticed from behind me what I was picking up, and she got me a chilled bottle to replace my room temperature one. That’s good service!

Nice little spot that carries a little bit of everything. They have a nice selection of wines and I found the Martinelli’s Sparkling Apple Juice there(in the small bottles, not the big one and I could only find the Cider at other places). I ended up in the area for lunch before and had their Cuban Sandwich which was ONPOINT.
