Biggest rip off! I went in to get my car checked as my breaks seemed to be making a weird noise. They kept my car for 24 hours and told me I needed to replace all four of my breaks. I was quoted $ 1,050 for new breaks (which is ridiculous). Luckily replacing breaks is something my dad can do on his own. My dad bought the new breaks for under $ 200. When he went to replace them, he realized I didn’t even need new breaks! They were going to charge me over a grand for something that didn’t even need to be done! It is safe to say I will never be going back! DO NOT GO HERE!

Good customer service and reasonably priced.
I had called around to inquire on the cost of replacing an alternator for a 2002 sedan; already had the part. Wilburn (the person who I spoke with over the phone and at the front desk) was very cordial, direct and informative. The replacement completed much sooner than the time-​estimate provided by other local repair shops.
I will definitely come back for future auto repair services.

I’ve been to Franconia Service Center for the past two years for my safety and emissions inspections. I appreciate that this shop is a locally-​owned business. Wayne is super helpful when I was signing in to get my car inspected and many of the people who walked in for service today were long time customers. The wait time today in the morning was reasonable, there were a few cars ahead of me, so I probably waited 30 minutes, which is reasonable. I also appreciated that when my car was ready, Wayne took a few minutes to talk to me about cars, instead of talking down to me about cars, as many mechanics have done to me in the past. I think this is a really honest shop and I’m happy with the services that I’ve had done, and I’ll keep coming back.

I’m disappointed that they charged $ 100 for a diagnostic when I already had the code. They said that the code just sends them in the direction they need to go. So I paid for the diagnostic but ended up having to take the car, after a $ 400 bill, AGAIN for the same code. They didn’t charge for labor and another diagnostic but they charged to replace the sensor, which has me second guessing the original $ 400 bill. Did they really run a diagnostic? I don’t know, but it’s my guess they went with the code I gave them and decided to charge the most expensive part and labor instead of actually seeing if the sensor was originally at fault. In total it was $ 500. Not to mention that I had taken my husbands car in before this incident and the car stopped working a week after we brought it back. Only to find out that the fuses where not replaced right. I guess it my own fault for going back with the second car. Never again.

Don’t expect to zip in and out for a annual vehicle inspection. I’ve never waited at anyplace anywhere close to the amount of time it takes here. And if you don’t pay the $ 11 for a $ 2 light bulb, to the back of the line and wait another 2 hours. My advice; go elsewhere.

Great service. Super friendly staff. None of the pressures that some mechanics use to try and get extra work. Oil change took all of 18 minutes.
My one complaint is that my usual place does some complimentary things like topping off washer fluid, free coffee and the like, which this place does not.

I can’t rave enough about this establishment! My car started stalling and the check engine light came on around 9 that morning. I had it towed here at around 130pm. My car was diagnosed and fixed, ready for pickup by 530pm. Can you say A-​Maz-​Ing! The price was very reasonable and I even got a 10% military discount! What started out as a very stressful situation was completely handled by Franconia Service Center! The customer service was top notch! They even recommend other services that I needed such as an air filter. I didn’t feel like I was being taken advantage of at all! I think I’ll even start coming here for my oil changes!

I’ve been a customer for several years. The staff is always professional, friendly, very knowledgable, and helpful. While doing a job they make sure to keep you informed of issues, concerns, work needed, and costs as well as any options. Prices are reasonable, service is quick and reliable. Another plus, the diverse staff has a very low turnover rate so you recognize them when you walk in. Hours and location are convenient.

Ten years ago, I took my F150 to Springfield Ford to get minor repairs. When the service manager began the convo with «Let me tell you this, dear…», I grabbed my keys, said «nope» and left. Went past this place and stopped on the off chance they could help me. Ten years and three cars later, still going there! I can’t say enough about the customer service provided by the manager, Wayne, Chris and the mechanics. Wayne explains everything, never talks me into anything I don’t need, and will suggest things my car may need in the future if I so choose to do. My daughter, in college, waits until she comes home to get things done on her car because «I trust Wayne with my car.» I highly recommend Franconia Service Center!

I went here for my state inspection. They have a separate bay for emission and safety inspections so my wait was only 15 mins max. Nice waiting room and friendly staff. I’ll definitely keep them in mind when I need other services done.

I have taken my car to this station for multiple services – from inspection to a complete brake change. As a woman I often worry that I will be taken advantage of and ripped off by mechanics. That was never a concern at this station. Everyone who works here is extremely pleasant and professional. I appreciated the time they took to explain the work needed. I found the cost to be extremely competitive and fair for this area. Without hesitation I will and have referred Franconia Service Center to others.
