F.I.T. 4 Pole

I went to FIT 4 Pole on Monday and took Free Inhibition Time for Pole (All-​levels) with Colleen and LOVED it!!! The class was truly all levels and ended with a pose that was modified to fit every level.
I enjoyed FIT so much that I went back on Thursday for FIT Like Me (Intermediate) with Laydia and was challenged with two different pole transitions!
I felt very comfortable with both instructors– they were very warm and personable– and the other students in the class were very welcoming and encouraging! Inverting is always intimidating but I felt secure knowing that a spotter was readily available. Colleen and Laydia were available to watch me transition from one move to another and tell me what I can do to make the transition smoother and more successful. Both have such wonderful and energetic personalities!!!
The studio itself is pristine! You walk into the lobby/​seating area and are greeted by a receptionist and an array of pole clothes which I LOVE because I have a hard time finding shorts and tanks and sports bras that I like. Everything in the studio is well organized and clean. This is the beginning of a beautiful relationship!!! Took my first class with Meghan and she was wonderful! The class was an intro class so we started with a basic routine and Meghan was great at explaining and guiding all the students. The studio is clean and the staff is really nice. I will def be coming back!

My sis and bestie booked this place for my bachelorette party! We had a good time! This was my first time taking a pole class and at first I was frustrated lol but Crystal was fun!
We also split into two teams and came up with a dance routine! The owner Nicole was really nice too and came in during class to show us some moves!
I am officially a Poletician! They gave me a t-​shirt, 2 shot glasses and had cake pops for us! I would definitely go there again and recommend to anyone.

I took a class for the first time. The instructor showed up 30 minutes late. What made it worse was the receptionist wouldn’t let us sit in the classroom, even though there was nothing going on in there. Instead we were packed like sardines in the tiny waiting room. She could have informed us we were not allowed to use the poles while waiting, if that was the concern.
The receptionist said the instructor was running a «few» minutes late — just FYI, 30 is not a few. It was disrespectful of my time. They should have offered refunds or at least just told the truth about how late the instructor was going to be.
I might have been more satisfied if I had been waiting comfortably– but the lack of thoughtfulness was salt in the wound.

This studio is really beautiful. Nicole the owner is positive, energetic, and she is motivational person. Her positive energy makes you feel good and welcome. Her personality makes you feel like you can do anything in the world. Thank you for always supporting me kind sister! Xoxo

I had a great experience here. I think I had some kind of deal and went three times (I had more classes but didn’t have time to use before it’s expiration). The studio is a good size and staff are kind. Or at least the two I have met. It’s a great workout and a lot of fun. The instructor is attentive and very helpful. I can’t remember the name of the one I had, but she was very patient and I appreciated that.

I am attending classes after using a groupon and living social deal. I think that this studio is a nice size. The staff that I have met thus far have been cordial and professional. You get a great work out with the firm and flexy classes that they offer and the actual pole session offer more technique. There are people that have no experience and people who are able to do amazing tricks. Overall I think it is great.

I have been taking pole from Pole Pressure Alexandria for nearly a year now, and thanks to this group of strong, talented, and incredibly dedicated women, I have fallen in love with Pole more than anything else I’ve ever done! The classes allow us to choose our own challenges and to push ourselves while laughing, dancing, and just being ourselves. Pole Pressure instructors are a group of inspiring, happy, and hardworking coaches that remember us, push us, and never give up on us when learning the art of pole! Honestly, it’s been the most fun I have ever had working out! I’m addicted and can’t believe how far I’ve come. Most importantly, not only are the instructors amazing, but all my fellow pole friends are the icing on the cake! Pole Pressure Alexandria is not only where I go for the workout, but all the good times with students make it 1000 times more fun than any happy hour! I never want to miss class! Pole Pressure Alexandria and the other PP studios rock, and I’m so glad I found them ;)

I’ve been to Pole Pressure in Alexandria, VA for 4 classes in the past 5 weeks. The 1^st class I took was the free. I like the fact that Pole Pressure offers a free class on Fridays. It helped me become more comfortable with the activity and type of work out. The location of the studio is fabulous. It is walking distance from the metro and if you decided to drive there is ample parking at and/​or near the studio. I also like the fact that the students are not responsible for setting up the poles. Based on the fact I’ve taken a couple of different classes I think the enjoyment comes from what instructor you pick. I have had some so so and great experiences based on who was teaching. Although I wouldn’t recommend Pole Pressure and their classes if you looking for something with serious cardio burn; it is a great workout for your arms (and in some cases your core). I can legitimately say I was the good sore after one of the free classes. My complaints are the studio does not have a great set up for changing and waiting for a class (es) to begin. It can feel small and crapped when everyone arrives before a class begins. I also think it might make sense for the business to invest in a better sound system. The instructors connect their personal IPods to portable speakers.

I had a Living Social deal. First 3 classes I didn’t enjoy as much, but the last 2 was with a fabulous instructor. Since I loved the 1 instructor so much, I purchased the unlimited monthly membership online which had a contract that stated «Pole Pressure Unlimited Classes Start: 7÷11÷2014 — End 7÷11÷205 $ 62.50 per month.» I received an e-​mail after saying I was charged $ 36.27 for 7÷15−7÷31÷14 and will be charged $ 125 starting 8÷1÷2014. I called and was told by Nicole, the owner, the 50% off was for first month promo and I would be charged $ 125 per month for every month after. She forward me the promotion e-​mail. I even checked my trash bin and let her know I have received other e-​mails, but never received this one. I told them the contract did NOT state a price change and it simply states $ 62.50 PER month for a year. She said it was a mistake on the website’s behalf, she was not willing to honor what was in the contract, and she could offer me other packages. The package she «offered» me was $ 68 for 7÷15−7÷31÷14, $ 62.50 for a month, and $ 125 for the 3^rd month. She tried to also sell me 5 or 10 class packages. I told her I was not willing to take classes unless I was honored the price stated in the contract. I tried to even negotiate and say I would honor their 3 month minimum requirement for unlimited monthly membership if they honor the price stated in the contract. She refused. Everyone, please beware of this place because they will NOT honor what is in THEIR own contract!!!

). They immediately changed their privacy so no one can see the reviews or posts to their page. Sketchy, huh? Well here was Nicole’s response to my review. «So it seems that it is best to clear this up. It appears Ashley Ark has not posted the entire story. Somehow Ashley was able to purchase an expired offer (an e-​sale valid July 4^th only) emailed out which was attached to the email you see in the picture, which clearly was offering the first month at half off with a minimum of 3 month obligation). When the purchase was noticed that mindbody charged her $ 62.50. An initial adjustment was made to correctly charge her ½ off the prorated amount for the remaining portion of the month, since she chose to have her contract start 7÷15÷14, which was $ ³⁶⁄₂₇. When Ashley called she was informed why the adjustment was made, she also said she didn’t get the email, even though she confirmed receiving all of the other emails sent by Pole Pressure Alexandria. I went into mindbody to replicate how this link was reached and saw what Ashley was able to purchase (which is a incorrectly stated and auto generated by mindbody). The email was resent to Ashley she opened it and said „I didn’t get this email, maybe I deleted it, I found this link because I was on mindbody trying to purchase more classes and thought this was a great deal… I was only purchasing it because it was a great deal… you should honor it because that is what my screen says and and if I didn’t know about the email, I wouldn’t have known that it was only the first month… can you honor it for 3 months and then I’ll cancel… well can you honor it for ½ a month off then cancel it… if you look at my living social you can see it took me almost the whole 12 weeks to use it, so right there it shows my ambition level to come to class (note: Ashley used her 5 classes within the 30 day time period stipulated with the voucher)…(and last but not lease Ashley said) well if your nor going to offer ½ off my membership then I don’t think I’m going to attend anymore classes.“ Ashley was offered other options such as the rest of the month for $ 62.50 (what she paid originally), the following full month at half off and the 3^rd month at full price which would fulfill the contract. Ashley was also offered discounted class packages, since she says she wouldn’t come often, when she as asked how many classes she expects she would be able to take, allowing her a longer period of time to use the classes. Ashley was also informed that she can purchase a deal through Groupon and pay the same price for the same amount of classes as her Living social deal. Unfortunately, Ashley was hanging her hat on a mistake from an auto generated message in mindbody and even though she was offered reasonable accommodations, she refused because it wasn’t cheap enough for her.»
I am appalled that an owner of a company would treat a customer this way. Horrible customer service. If your website makes an error, you honor the deal. You don’t cancel it because a client got too good of a deal. I advise EVERYONE to stay far, far away from this horrendous place. If a contract clearly states «Pole Pressure Unlimited Classes Start: 7÷11÷2014 — End 7÷11÷205 $ 62.50 per month.» and doesn’t include any stipulations regarding price adjustment a month later.
