That moment when you almost don’t want to write a good review for fear too many people will take your hidden gem. This place is so affordable and my eyebrows always come out so polished. Much better than ‘Threads’, which is more expensive and doesn’t do as quality of a job. Definitely recommend, but make sure to bring cash for a tip!

This lady was so good! I cannot wait to go back to get my brows done.
I went on a Thursday evening & arrived about 20 minuets from closing time. It was a pretty decent line when I arrived but the threading lady took her time with each person.
I described to her how I wanted my brows & the results were better that I expected. It wasn’t even that painful! She really paid attention to detail & made sure I got my money’s worth despite the line.
Not sure if there’s usually more than one person working there (I’m sure it it), but it would have been helpful in speeding up the line.
Nevertheless, it was great service & the place was clean!
Parking was a bit difficult to come by.

Okay, the first thing I want to emphasize: please bring cash when you visit this place! You can pay with a credit card, but they only accept tips in cash. And I promise you, the treatment you will receive here is so good that it will make you upset if you can’t tip them afterwards. Don’t make my mistakes; just have cash on you if you’re planning on coming here.
They take walk-​ins and are pretty decently priced ($ 12 for an eyebrow threading). My brows were done by Mira, who was very sweet and gentle– exactly the kind of person that you would want to be shaping a defining facial feature. This was the most painless threading that I’ve ever had done in my life. I trusted her to shape my brows naturally and beautifully, and she did an amazing job. She didn’t make me feel rushed at all, unlike all other brow places that I have visited before. After she finished up, she offered me a cotton ball soaked in rosewater to swab on my brows to ease the redness. Now my brows both smell and feel great!
When I paid, I learned that you could only tip in cash and felt really terrible about only having my credit card on me. Mira and her co-​worker could have given me a (well-​deserved) dirty look when I explained that I didn’t know about the cash only tipping policy, but they were so gracious and kind about it.
Really, this is a stellar place and I would recommend it to anyone who is tired about receiving underhanded comments about the state of their brows and rushed, careless treatment. If you need your brows done, give this place a visit!

This is my second time threading my eyebrows and I can definitely say «I’m a fan.» After years of the miserable pain of waxing, breakouts and sometimes uneven brows. I wanted to give threading a try again.
Boy, I’m glad I did. Came here on a Friday after work (bad idea). I waited for about 35 minutes. But once I got in the chair, it took her less than 10 minutes. I was happy with the service, ambience and look of my brows.
I’ll try the weekdays like everyone suggested!

This lady is really professional and fast at what she does, but I think she threads too hard! I’ve been here twice now and the first lady was nice and did a very good job! I had a very good threading session the second time too (different lady), except that I thought she shouldn’t have cut into the skin so much. I am not a newbie to this, I’ve been threading for about 8 years now. So it surprised me just how much she was pushing the thread into the skin to thread. But apart from this, I thought she did a great job!

After reading reviews and an article rating Eyebrow Express as one of the premier establishments in the DC area for threading, I had to check it out for myself.
I stopped in this afternoon around 11 AM and a young woman was busily working away on a clients brows. I patiently waited my turn as another woman was waiting ahead of me. The facility is nice with a seating area and television, tranquil music plays lightly in the background.
Once my turn came I sat back in the chair and kindly explained that I had been growing in my brows from a poor past experience elsewhere and would like to keep them natural, thick, with a simple clean up. While threading, we conversed about the different threading locations and experiences. The final result was absolutely perfect for me! Even, thick but clean brows. Arclana was professional, pleasant, efficient, and listen to my requests as best possible. I highly recommend Arclana and this location if you’re serious about your brows ;)

I love not having to fight DC traffic to get my eyebrows threaded. Quick, efficient, and excellent eyebrow artists that deliver exactly what you ask for. This has been my go to eyebrow threading salon since relocating to the DMV. Nothing but good things to say.

Very happy with my results. I described how I wanted my brows cleaned up and got exactly what I asked for — not too thin and a mild arch. Well worth the $ 12 for my brows and $ 6 for my upper lip. I will be back!

They did a great job on my eyebrows. Other places leave them thin, but not them. They left them thicker, which I prefer!!! However, there’s no point in making an appointment because I did, and still had to wait. Other than that, I love them!

I’ve had my eyebrows threaded here three times. The first two times my brows looked great, but this time they look terrible. It will take at least three months to get my brows looking decent again.
Each time I went in, I asked for an arch if possible. The first two times I left with nicely shaped eyebrows. This time the lady made them pencil thin, the edges are uneven, and the shape is unflattering. My eyebrows haven’t looked this bad since I tried to do them myself.

Eyebrow threader knew the look I was going for. She worked quickly and was responsive to any changes that I wanted.

This is still my favorite place to get my eyebrows done. They NEVER disappoint and ALWAYS get me in and out! I love the ladies here! Highly recommended!

This is my very first Unilocal review and it’s a pleasure. I walked in at 5pm on a rainy Saturday night. Good timing, no wait! Upon entering the modest room with two chairs I was greeted with a smile by Archana. I explained right away that I was a DC thread loyalist but wanted to find a place closer to home. I told her what I wanted and away she went.
Best part, she actually spent more time and did better job than the Washingtonians had done in the past.
It was also nice to be on my own time and not rushing around on my lunch hour, which is usually when I would find the time in the city.

Nothing bad to say except I wish they opened earlier in the day and opened later as well. 11am-​7pm is when most people work, making it hard to stop in and get my brows done.
They do a great job at cleaning up my brows, making them look nice and clean without taking too much away.

If you’re ever in Old Town and need a place to get your eyebrows done, definitely give this place a try! I’ve been here a couple of times during my lunch break and was seen immediately both times. The space is small, but clean and just large enough for what it’s used for. Both times the jobs were quick, painless, and left my eyebrows looking AMAZING! They finish off the job with rose water (if you choose to), which not only leaves your brows nice and smooth, but also gives you a relaxing smell of roses as you walk away.
My only complaint is the price of $ 12 before tip, but also not unheard of for this area, especially Old Town (I’m just a little spoiled by another place where I’ve paid $ 8 for a comparable job). Just be sure to bring cash for your tip, as they are not accepted on credit cards.

I’m new to the area and have been desperate to find somewhere to get my eyebrows done locally so I decided to give this place a try.
The setup is different. It’s just a door on the outside and you walk up the stairs. It’s a studio with a few chairs, mirrors and a counter to pay All the other rooms are separate. It’s tricky to find parking around here.
I got my eyebrows done only and paid about $ 15 including tip. Now for me this is a lot for just a clean up. They got the basic job done in about 5 mins but I was hoping for a bit more shape as I have very thick eyebrows. I’m used to paying around $ 7-​$ 10 for much more. The studio is very clean and comfortable which is nice.
I would come back here if I don’t find another local threading place.

This place is exactly what the name implies… Eyebrows done at an express pace!
I walked in on a Sunday and was seen immediately. I explained the shape of the brow I wanted and within a few minutes I had perfectly groomed brows! So quick, simple, and best of all the girl’s work was done exactly as I requested.
Easy location right in old town. I’ll be back again and again! For only $ 12 it was slightly pricier than I’m used to in Fairfax (about $ 10) but I’d definitely return.
