Wandered into this old school hardware store and loved every minute of it. I’m from Los Angeles, so (for the most part) I have to choose between Lowe’s and Home Depot most of the time. I miss the old school brick & mortar hardware stores. This place is cramped but I just felt at home when I walked inside. Like an old worn-​in leather baseball glove, it just felt right.
I needed some small brass nails/​brads and a new kitchen sink disposal trap. They grabbed the goods for me and I was in and out in minutes. I wanted to take it all in — the sights — the smells, but I had other things to do that day. I am SO GLAD this country still has these old world hardware stores. If I lived near this place, I’d frequent it on many occasions.

So great! I was locked out of my office building around 6:00pm on a Monday evening and I was frantically calling around the area. Great customer service on the call, did not make me feel stupid (which is a great thing in that situation!), and R.C. arrived within 20 minutes. He was pleasant, personable, great at his job, and really made it a pleasant experience :) R.C. and crew came back two days later to re-​key our facility to ensure no future lock-​outs, and they were courteous, clean, and kept me informed. Please use them in your lock-​outs or for any locksmith needs– you’ll be happy with their work!

I needed a new key for my front door lock. I showed up around 4pm and they told me that they were busy and my key would be ready the next day. However, they called me two hours later to tell me that my key was ready to be picked up. They charged me $ 20 bucks for two keys. They did a great job.

paid them 3.00 to have a key made. the key did not fit the lock. thats all. should i return and give them another chance, methinks not. easier to eat the 3 bucks and go some place else where the simple task of making a duplicate key is not so difficult

What an awesome little place (that has the inventory of a GIANT place)!!! I called in a panic at 3:30 on Sunday afternoon after another hardware store did not have the key I needed and said I needed a locksmith. After looking on Unilocal — of course — I found Executive Lock & Key, zoomed right over and the nice Blonde woman at the counter had what I needed.
The beloved Goldendoodle was happy to give the whole store a sniff, and we departed with our three keys and no more stress over where to get them made.

They were really helpful when I locked myself out of my apartment on a Friday afternoon/​evening. Managed to get someone out to help within a reasonable amount of time and the technician/​locksmith was very nice.
Their prices were pretty comparable to other places in the area — actually on the less expensive end of the spectrum while still being licensed, etc. :)

This company gives excellent service and RC goes the extra mile– worked us in several times to his schedule, even coming at the end of a long day to finish the job once our lock parts were in. Three weeks before I found Executive Lock I had another locksmith from another company come and ‘fix’ my old front door lock and he basically told me not to use it, charged me over $ 300 to tell me that. RC from Executive Lock fixed not just the lock but removed the door, made it fit better and made the old lock work like new. These people are gems!

I’ve lived in our house for over 7 years and never had a key to our back door’s lock. For some reason I figured that I would need to buy an entire new lockset in order to get a key. And then I took a minute to think about it and called Executive Lock & Key. They asked me a few questions — basically they were trying to get a understanding of what type of lock I had — and then they scheduled me for a few days later. RJ came out. I gave him the key for our front door and he was able to re-​key the back door lock to use that same key. Done!
They were clean and quick and it cost less than I expected it to. RJ also gave me a business card and told me to call him if I had any issues with the lock. It’s been a few weeks and the lock has worked great. I really wish I had called them 7 years ago.

I used their service to do what I thought was replace a lock. I called and the person on the phone asked me the problem and actually told me I may not need to replace the lock but just fix a couple of parts. They came out and indeed that was what happened. Cost me a lot less than if they replaced the lock.
Honest company, so refreshing. Very reasonable price, nice people, on time, quick, what’s not to like.

Simply outstanding — A+ service. I just bought a house and needed to install new door handles and locks and add a deadbolt to my patio porch. R.C. was great to work with and did a very professional job. He went above and beyond to fix some of the issues with the doors and did some impressive custom carpentry to allow for the patio door lock.
I would recommend this company to absolutely anyone looking for a professional job. We will be working with them again for sure!

I love the small town feel of a small tightly packed hardware store! The prices might be a DOLLAR or so more expensive than Home Depot but you don’t have to drive far and then fight for parking and then stand in a line just to ask for help. At Executive Lock & Key it’s right down the road, there’s always parking and they’re extremely friendly and willing to help you find what you are looking for.
Also keys are made fast and probably the cheapest around.

With friendly staff on hand and a (surprisingly) deep selection for a store the size of my cars trunk, this shop is great for the vast majority of home needs. The clerks in the store are friendly and incredibly helpful, and it warms my heart to see these kind of establishments succeed in the era of Lowes and Home Depot.

When you’re in the process of moving (again), your brain turns into the consistency of a pumpkin that’s been left out on your porch for a month.
So when you’re so stressed about moving and what your landlord told you that morning (let’s just say he phrased the fact that I got offered an out of town job in not so nice terms), you forget your keys inside your apartment when you go down to get your laundry. And realize you are a giant idiot but do NOT want to call your landlord because you do not want to get in a argument about the particulars of your lease.
Thankfully, you have your phone and handy dandy Unilocal app, and are well aware of the cute hardware store on the corner that ALSO has locksmith services. You call, and they promise someone in under 30 minutes. Your lock gets fiddled, you get inside your apartment, and you shell out $ 79 for your own stupidity.
Prompt, efficient service and under $ 100 is good enough for me, but then again, I have a mushy brain.

These guys are great. I’m glad fellow Unilocalers were able to share this business with the rest of us.
I called, and got Tim on the line, who had such a friendly customer service voice. Like he really cared about the locks on your house. I asked if he had anyone that could swing by in the next couple days to change all the locks on my place. His first instinct was that he was completely booked. But, he told me he’d call me back and see if he could squeeze me in.
I get a call from Sean, saying that he can come over in the morning, at which he promptly shows us with all the tools he needs in tow. Sean was efficient, did a great job, and fast. Despite the extra work had to do with my problem doors, he didn’t complain once and was happy to help out.
I love small businesses that know how to treat people like people. I like giving them my money in exchange for goods and services.
