Established in 1925, Cunningham was Alexandria’s first funeral home. Since 1936, the Mountcastle Family has set the standard for caring professional service.

Michael T.
Business Owner
Born and raised in Woodbridge, Michael began working for the Mountcastle family briefly in 1987, then returned in 1991. Starting off mowing the lawns and washing cars while attending college at night he has worked his way up to one of the owners and manages the day to day operations. In addition to his Mortuary Science Degree Michael has a Liberal Arts Degree from Mary Washington. He has authored a book as well as several magazine articles and was the 2010 – 2011 President of the Virginia Funeral Directors Association.
