Concept Vision and Associates

I found this practice through Unilocal when my previous doctor decided to stop accepting insurance. I was seen promptly upon arrival. She also accepts basic walk-​ins as long as she has an opening. Dr. Ung was very thorough & professional. She patiently and politely answered all of my questions. Her front desk person was also efficient and polite, which is not always the case with medical staff. In all I was very happy and I will be going back to see Dr. Ung the next time I need an exam.

Excellent service all around! Dr. Amy Laskar was professional, efficient, and talented. Highly recommend for anyone looking for eye care in the area.

I had been looking for an optometrist as I had recently moved to the area and knew that I needed to update my contact/​glasses prescription. A neighbor recommended «Concept Vision and Associates» and Dr. Amy Laskar Ung, indicating that she, her husband and her two kids all use Dr. Amy Laskar Ung and that they had always been very happy as the doctor was so friendly and personable.
The office is physically under the same roof as the Costco on Richmond Highway, but is separate and is not part of Costco. When you walk under the building’s entrance awning, look to the left towards the carts. You will see the office before you need to show your Costco card. Super convenient for us Costco shoppers too!
I arrived for my scheduled appointment and was seen immediately. Apparently they do a great job of scheduling because on two separate occasions, as I was leaving the next patient was arriving.
Dr. Lasker Ung was absolutely wonderful, she listened to my concerns and ultimately (to my great surprise) fitted me with bifocal contacts. I sampled two different lenses over a week and was able to identify the perfect new contacts for me! She also recommended a new contact solution for me to use given a specific problem I had been having. She was kind, committed, informative and personable– by far one of the best optometrists I have ever seen! It’s obvious that Dr. Amy Laskar Ung loves what she does and loves helping people find the fit that’s perfect just for them! I highly recommend a visit to Dr. Amy Lasker Ung.

After getting ripped off by a certain business chain, I won’t say who, I went in search of a better option. I found Dr. Amy Laskar through my insurance company and is conveniently located at a Costco.
This place is located at the entrance of Costco but is not associated with Costco nor requires a Costco membership to visit.
I called in to schedule my appointment and when I showed up, it was not crowded and appointments are sufficiently spaced apart. I only had to wait about 5 minutes and I’m on my way to my Examination. Dr. Laskar recommended and pupil dilation test, which is an extra $ 20-​$ 25 (i think) but I declined, which was fine, I didn’t feel like I was forced to spend that extra money.
The equipments were mostly digital and seems to be state of the art (compared to my last place). The Examination went smoothly. I expressed my concerns and I even wanted a higher prescription (Dr. Laskar was hesistant, and explained WHY) but ultimately i felt I needed it since the lower prescription was bothering me and she was okay with it. She told me to let her know if the new prescription gave me problems (it hasn’t).
When I was done, I got a free sample of the prescription contacts. This place is great because there is no upsell to force you into buying glasses or contacts. I recommend Costco for your prescription needs (if you’re a member, Costco charges a flat rate $ 90 for lenses and ~$ 90-​$ 150 for frames, contacts were ~$ 170 for a year supply).
Please give this place a try and you’ll be happy you did. Don’t go to some chain place where their only concern is the $ sign you carry on your head.

Been going here for almost three years now and everything has been consistent. State of the art equipment! Everything is computerized which limits the question.“is this better .or this?.” The staff is friendly and very quick and efficient. Highly recommend!

Very friendly doctor. Her assistant is great. You can still go to her for an eye exam even if your not a costco member!

I found this optometrist through Unilocal and decided to give it a try. When I first walked in I didn’t know who the doctor was because she looks very young. She was very personable and she made me feel very comfortable.
After my eye exam she told me that my prescription was less than my previous doctor suggested. I was a bit hesitant about the prescription she tried to prescribe because I’ve had the same prescription for a while it was hard for me to believe that my eyes have either 1) gotten better or 2) my last doctor that gave me a stronger prescription was wrong.
So I just went with the new prescription but for some reason my vision was blurry. I called and we scheduled another appointment. After retesting my eyes, we determined that it was the brand of contacts that I was using.
Dr. Laskar Ung was patient and took the time to determine if my prescription really decreased and why my vision was blurry. I will definitely come back here for my next eye examination and refer my friends.

I came to this small office with my mom and we both had a really good experience. Dr. Amy Laskar Ung was really great and we both thought she was very professional. She’s has a very friendly and inviting personality, I almost forgot I was at a doctor’s office. Prices are great (much cheaper than my last optometrist) and after my visit I walked right into Costco to order my contacts. Definitely coming back for my next eye exam.

Big fan of this small optometrist in the Costco. You do not actually have to be a member as it is located right outside the door.
Dr. Amy Laskar Ung was very nice and helpful and made everything go really quick as well. I was annoyed I had to go get an exam when my prescription hadn’t changed in years but she discovered my eyes had actually improved a bit over the past 3 years since my last exam. She explained why and gave me a demonstration after I was a bit skeptical.
Best of all is the price is better than even the Lenscrafters and For Eyes of the world, as well as even Walmart (I called all of them). You can submit to insurance yourself if you don’t have the one they do take, which is a bit annoying but works.
The contacts are also cheaper at Costco than even Walmart or 1−800-Contacts, so try there as well. All in all a great experience!
