I thought these reviews were exaggerating, but the food here really is worse than any other Chipotle I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to a lot. I got a paltry amount of lettuce, cold and chewy steak, and sad fajita veggies with my salad.

I guess I should have checked the reviews before coming to this location. I thought such a big chain would be somewhat standard but this place is the worst Chipotle location I’ve ever seen. The first time I came here my chips were stale and my bowl was half-full. They also didn’t even take the second to let the juice drain from the beans before throwing it in my bowl, so I got a half-full bowl of soggy rice. The second time my husband’s steak was refrigerator-level cold(and he got ¾ a serving of guac). When he asked for a new one they said it’d be 6 – 8 minutes for new steak to cook and we waited. When it came out the employee asked«uh, do you want me to add steak or make you a new bowl?» Other ingredients had also been sitting out for a while. Terrible employees.

This is the closest chipotle to me, so I used to visit this place very frequently until yesterday. ONESENTENCEREVIEW: THISPLACEHASTHEWORSTSTAFFEVER. They are rude and they have bad attitude. I visit this place 3 – 4 times a week. Now with their attitude, I just want to stop visiting this place. There are a couple of really young guys who are nice, all the rest are just terrible. I would just fire them right away if I owned the place. You will notice a huge difference in the staff attitude when you visit another Chipotle location. The food quality was OK for me. My rice was cold and my corn was frozen. Without knowing, I took a bite and my teeth literally ached… LOL hands down the worst Chipotle experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve been an avid customer for years. I go at least 6x/month, and there have been many times when I’d go 4−5x/WEEK. Yes, even during the E. Coli crisis lmao. What I’m saying is, I really don’t ask for much, but this Chipotle really sucks!

A short and simple review… Two words… Food poisoning. Don’t go here. I thought chipotle launched a nationwide program to combat their unsanitary food prep hygiene. I guess this location did not get the memo…

Worst chipotle I’ve ever been to. I have never been so disgusted and sick with a bad place to eat, until I stopped by here. Do NOT dare eat here, the food was cold, the service was TERRIBLE with their rude, angry attitudes that was completely unnecessary, which btw, If you don’t like your job, quit :) The main issue though, was the raw meat that was served in one of the chicken bowls. That’s what did it for me. Never again. The list can go on. It made me completely quit chipotle. There’s more authentic Mexican food and made quickly right in the area. Take my advice, you’ll thank me. ;D

Got a steak bowl the steak looked pink all over and had no taste to it. Thought I was going to get sick so I threw it all out. Never going back to this location …

Everytime I place an online order and come to pick it up, it’s never done at the time that it says, and they have to make it at while I’m there, what’s the point of an online order and pick up if it’s not done. The the snobby cashier says you should have just come in and did the order because we’re busy, SERIOUSLY maybe you should learn how to do online orders and learn to not be snobby!

This must be the worst chipotle in existence! The environment was completely unwelcoming. I almost felt like I was bothering the workers while placing my order. Most seem to indulged in speaking with each other about their plans that evening or how heir weekend with. And I swear the workers making jokes about customers in Spanish.(I’m not assuming what I heard because I am fluent in Spanish.) ONTOPOFTHATTHEFOODQUALITYWASTERRIBLE. Avoid this place at all cost.

Worst Chipotle ever. Avoid at all costs. Perhaps though you live in the area. Maybe you were going for a jog. Maybe while running down the sidewalk by Chipotle you slipped on a burrito that someone most likely took one bite of and tossed. Maybe you break your legs during this slip and your cellphones battery has died. Maybe Chipotle is the only retail store you can crawl to for help and sustenance. I have just described the only situation that would make entering this Chipotle acceptable. This is not the Chipotle that you have come to know and love. The customer service sucks. The food quality sucks. Everything sucks. Don’t go there. There’s another Chipotle 5 minutes away in Crystal City. It’s much better there but parking is terrible.

Yuck. Will never go to this location again. Of the food that was ready, some clearly left over from the day prior. Some items weren’t ready. Will never come back here.

I will never go to this Chipotle location again. The workers preparing the food were too busy talking to each other about their weekend plans and giving attitude to the customers to effectively do their job. In addition, there were about 5 – 6 workers congregating behind the cash register socializing and eating their own food. I asked to speak to the manager to address my concerns and low and behold she was one of the employees standing there unconcerned with the process. She informed me that some workers were not yet clocked in and that’s why they were just standing around. Poor business practice in my opinion. She told me that she was«sorry I felt this way.» I left and will not return.

I’m going to have to take away a star from my previous review for this place. My fiancé and I visited again during a weekday evening around 7pm(super busy at that time, fyi) and were very disappointed by how much they skimped on the chicken and overall! Our chipotle bowl wasn’t even full. Service was not polite and it really is not a very good chipotle. I’m not surprised they have such a low average rating on Unilocal. Will avoid in the future if I can.

Visited this Chipotle on 7/26/15…worst customer service I’ve ever experienced anywhere. All three ladies making the orders preoccupied with their personal conversation. I had to keep repeating myself because they were to deep in their business. One of ladies gave me attitude & throwing the food around because I wanted extra of something… it was terrible. I complained to the Manager not sure if she will address it or not but I will be contacting their corporate office. My advice, go elsewhere & avoid the headache.

I usually come to this location because it’s convenient for me and when I’m really craving tacos or guacamole. I know that this is just a huge chain franchise and most of the food aren’t really fresh, but when you’re really hungry or craving certain foods while being on a tight budget, it’ll do. LOL One thing that I’ve noticed is that their portion size is really filling and they aren’t stingy with the meat the veggie ratio on tacos or burritos. It ca get a little bit sloppy when there’s a line. I haven’t had an experience yet where I’ve waited for a while to be served and I haven’t had the need to dine-in or use their restroom to give you my honest opinion on that. But, from my occasional visits to this restaurant, it’s clean and the wait isn’t too bad. Overall, customer service was great and the cashiers are always friendly and I’ve noticed that even the shift manager helps out at the register. He’s also a very pleasant person.

This line is currently taking forever. Get more employees or something. The sad thing is that the chipotle down the road in crystal city is great: quick service, great portions, and is what you expect. It has no parking. This chipotle has ample parking, but the line is super slow and the food is iffy. One time the corn salsa was still frozen in my burrito.

Meh I am a Chipotle fan but I’ve found that this location is always crowded and the service is subpar. I placed an online order and they completely messed it up(forgot the two items I requested to have on the side). I also found that in the burrito bowl I order, they have given less meat every time I’ve gone here compared to other locations. I used the coupons which I received in the mail and as another reviewer stated, the cashier struggled with this mightily which caused a great delay in the movement of the line. Overall, the other crystal city location is superior in almost all aspects. I would recommend skipping this location.

This is my first Chipotle experience in Virginia. I had tried Chipotle when I lived in New York, and was hooked(a fact that I’m still a bit ashamed of). In NY, I went for the food, not the service. That being said, this is the worst Chipotle location I’ve ever been to. I thought the lines were bad in NY(out the door lines at the Grand Central location, it’s packed at the Byrant Park location, etc) but at least they moved quickly. The lines are just as bad at this location, but it takes at least twice as long to move through it. And I have no idea why. I counted seven workers in the front as I was waiting in line. They were each doing something so I don’t know where the delay came from. When it was my turn to order, I got a bowl with tortillas on the side. I had never had an issue with asking for multiple tortillas before, so I was shocked when I asked for two(instead of the one that she was wrapping up) and just got a «really» stare from the employee before she ignored me and moved on to the customer behind me. She was also super skimpy on the chicken. I should’ve done what the woman in front of me did and ask for more meat because there wasn’t that much.(That woman was also greeted with a «really» stare, but at least her request was fulfilled.) Going down the rest of the line wasn’t all that bad. Everyone else was nice enough, though there weren’t that many beans either(didn’t even bother asking). The guy working register was really nice. He didn’t charge for guac or any of the extras that I got. I used a buy one get one free coupon, so the entire thing(plus chips and a drink) came out to only around $ 10. I guess for all it’s worth, I got a good deal and a bunch of food for that price. I also just asked for the extra tortillas at the register and he got them made for me. There was plenty of seating. Everyone seemed to want to wait in the long line and then drive home to eat their burritos. I opted to eat inside, where I could get unlimited drink refills. However, about 10 minutes into eating, it got super cold. It’s practically winter outside, Chipotle. Why do you have the AC running too? It made my food cold also. :( Overall, not that great. Long lines and workers can occasionally be passive aggressive. My favorite part about Chipotle is their adobo chicken, but it wasn’t good hear at all. It was dry and not flavorful at all. I’m willing to give it another chance, but I don’t think it’ll get any better than this… Let’s just hope it was this location, and this doesn’t speak for all of the DMV.

This is a new Chipotle, so the place is still very clean. It’s surprising that a place like this hasn’t been in Potomac Yards yet, what with the heavy shopping and movie theater nearby. They are pretty efficient at getting through the line. There isn’t a lot of space inside to line up, so sometimes if it’s movie time at the theaters you’ll have to wait in line outside of the building. Despite a large lunch/dinner rush, the staff always seem engaged and friendly.

In total, this is was a subpar Chipotle experience. The food was okay, but the steak was fattier than most times I’ve eaten at Chipotle. The staff was friendly, though clueless how to handle a free entrée coupon I received for horrible service at a different location *cough* Pentagon City Mall *cough* which caused a delay in paying. The worst thing about this location is the awkward table set up, worst I’ve ever seen at any fast food place. They are almost all long tables forcing people to awkwardly ask if seats are taken and forcing people on top of each other and overhearing their conversations. It works okay at Thanksgiving, not so much when you have to listen to the guy next to you rant while stuffing a burrito in his piehole. If you need a Chipotle fix this place is alright but know going it that it’s not ideal.
