AFC Doctors Express Urgent Care

Came here once due to sickness. Wait time was very short, maybe 5 minutes in the waiting room and then 10 minutes in the exam room. You can print and fill out the forms on their website, which I highly recommend doing, since it will put you ahead of everyone else in the waiting room who are filling out the paperwork.
The doctor seemed to do a good job and I didn’t feel rushed.
On the way out, there were a lot more people in the waiting room, so I’d recommend calling ahead and asking for the current wait time, since there’s only one doctor working here.

This time I had more success with this walk-​in clinic.
I’m happy to report that the doctor and staff was indeed caring and professional in diagnosing my bronchitis and giving me a prescription for an antibiotic.

My son has a bad migraine — never had one before and rather than go to the ER we chose Doctors Express. We had a great experience. Dr. Daing took very good care of us with a thorough examination, sound diagnosis and explanation of issues and treatment. While we hope we stay healthy, if required, we would return to Doctors Express in an instant. Kudos!

My grandson was visiting when he came down with what we assumed was food poisoning. He was not getting better so we decided to go to the Urgent Care. i called first, was told the wait was about an hour, which turned out to be accurate. We saw Dr. Hintz who was absolutely super. He was thorough and talked with my grandson while he examined him. I thought the doctor did a great job connecting with a 13 year old. He explained the illness, what to expect next, what he was prescribing and what to do to feel better. Although it wasn’t a serious illness, it was a very good experience and I would recommend both the clinic and Dr. Hintz for those things you use an urgent clinic for… quick, non-​life threatening ailments that require fast diagnosis and meds. The staff was great also, very polite and everyone was mindful of the patient’s privacy.

Our 2 year old son needed a physical for his enrollment in preschool. Being that we just relocated from California, we did not yet have a primary pediatrician. We called several clinics in the area and most of them stated they only did physicals for ages 7 and up. We were excited when we called Doctors Express and were told they do physicals for preschoolers.
When my husband arrived, the staff at the desk were friendly and our son was content in the waiting room. The wait was long, but being a walk-​in clinic, we didn’t expect to get in without at least a small wait.
As soon as they called my husband and our son back to the exam room, our 2 year old freaked. We knew that our son had a bit of anxiety when it came to doctors because every appointment he has had was filled with immunization shots. He suddenly realized that he was at a doctor’s office and assumed he would be getting shots. The nurses and staff all tried to calm him down by offering him a sucker and trying to distract him. The doctor was cold and kept his distance from our son. He never said a word to our son and not at any point did he attempt to help our son realize that he wasn’t going to hurt him.
The doctor then told my husband that he could not do the physical on my son because he could not sign off on the «emotional wellness» of our 2 YEAR OLD son. The doctor then proceeded to tell my husband that this is why he does not like doing physicals on children his age (remember that we called ahead to ask if they did) and that my husband should have taken him to his regular pediatrician. My husband explained that we had just moved here from out of state so we did not have a regular pediatrician yet and still, the doctor kept repeating we take him to his regular pediatrician.
I WILL say, they did give my husband a full refund and the rest of the staff tried very hard to make our son comfortable. We understand that a physical may not have been possible with the way our son was reacting, but it infuriated us that the doctor made it seem as though there was something wrong with our son because he was afraid of being at the doctor. He’s 2 and anyone with kids knows that anxiety over a doctor visit is absolutely normal. I won’t be back here for anything, EVER.

Got in without a long wait (really no time at all), got out for not a lot of money and great care. They did the quick strep test on site, and the doctor gave us great advice on how to use over-​the-​counter remedies to help the sick kid.

We just had our 3^rd trip to Doctors Express and every visit has been 5 stars. Often we end up there for x-​rays of both children and seniors. This visit we were first in line and were in and out within an hour with clear instructions of what to do for follow up. The doctor there always reads the x-​ray, gives his impression and sends it out to their radiologist on call, who is always quick to reply. This place is a model of how health care should be offered. We tend to have urgent or not so urgent needs, like physicals, is this an ear infection, etc that are best treated efficiently and effectively at a place like this rather than waiting for hours in our regular doctor’s office. I much prefer it. We save literally thousands of dollars with our health insurance every time we can avoid a trip to the emergency room (for example when the injury occurs at 8:01 pm).

I really like going to Doctors Express. I have been there twice myself and once with another family member. I feel more comfortable with the doctors here than my regular GP. They really take the time to listen to their patients and explain their diagnosis. I am highly impressed. Staff is friendly and wait time is minimal.

It’s hard to find urgent care during the holidays. Primary doctor offices close and sometimes you just need to be seen by a healthcare professional but not the ER.
I found this place for a family member that needed a pre-​op ASAP. We were there during a weekend in December. I was impressed with how smooth the process went, his primary care physician needed a seven day notice but this place was ready when we got there.
They have bilingual staff here so that is a plus.
The location, friendly staff, fast results, clean facility, and weekend hours all add up to 5 stars in my book.

The funniest thing is walking in and the nurse says «Hey I’ve seen you before (never saw this person) Your the one who wrote the bad review or something, I want to Thank You a lot… we learned from it and are working to do better»
So after my review I visited Doctors express a few more times and was satisfied with my services…
My wait was of standard no long wait and it was others in the lobby to be seen I saw a different Doctor (Dr. Duage: Spelled wrong! I know but Asian male doctor) and he’s GREAT very knowledgable explains everything 2 different ways to make sure you understand and LISTENS to what’s actually wrong and doesn’t fabricate a sickness! Kind of funny … Moves fast but efficient ! If this wasn’t urgent care for me I’d choose him as my regular doctor! TOUGH! I’m glad he is there!
They can take chest x-​rays here, Put images on a CD so you can take to other providers or keep for self #Sweet
They are open LATE: Which is great for the working individual like myself

So with such positive experiences I have to up my stars to 3 cause I have no real complaints now …

My experience with this Doctors Express was outstanding. Sheri, an X-​ray tech was covering the from desk. I was traveling and didn’t have my insurance card, Sheri took the time to look it up for me.
I was fortunate to have no wait time — however, I do know that there is more work to seeing a patient than the direct contact time — charting and follow-​up. Also, the office staff are not the medical staff…
Dr. Daing was efficient and very personable. He wrote a script for my ailment and off I went to the Pharmcy down the street.
Dr. Daing called me first thing in the mornng to follo-​up on the Rx.
I am very impressed with this location and would defiently reccomend it.

I recently visited the Doctors Express of Mt Vernon for aliment I was having and had a wonderful experience. The facility was clean, the staff was very friendly, the wait was short before I saw the doctor, and the service was excellent. After seeing the doctor, he told me that if I preferred they could electronically send my prescription information to my local pharmacist for me. I really liked that extra service as I was able to stop by my pharmacist on the way home and simply pick up my prescription with little-​to-​no wait. I highly recommend this urgent care facility and would definitely come back if/​when the need arises.

I had a positive experience and will return here if I need to in the future, though it was a little slow for a not-​so-​busy looking Saturday.
