We went in to simply make a purchase of some Aveda hand lotion. There were four ladies who worked there behind the counter as well as a hair stylist sitting in a waiting chair up front. At no time as we walked through the shop did an employee come out from behind the counter to help. I finally asked for help when we couldn’t find the original scent. Lotion found, we went to check out and I told the woman behind the counter that I had a pure privilege account number. She said, «let me look you up to see if you are in our system». When she couldn’t find me, she added my info and rang up the purchase. I asked once again if she had my pure privilege account number and she replied that she needed my card or we would have to call and get the account number and that would take a «long time». Having made purchases from Aveda stores and salons in the past, I know for a fact it takes about 1 minute to get this information. This woman simply didn’t want to make the effort to do it. Not only that, she wasn’t even going to tell me that she wasn’t entering the number. I ended up cancelling the sale and walking out. There is no way that I will spend my hard earned money with a business that treats its customers in such a fashion. In most cases, you can assume that you«get what you pay for» but in this case, the price does NOT reflect the service. Date of incident 1÷30÷16 around 2pm.

I have visited this salon on several occasions for a shampoo/cut/style, and even take my two girls for the same, it normally ran around $ 27+/- plus tip, I called a few days ago and the girl told me it would be «$ 65 this time as she was hanging up… Uhhhh no!»

Employees were nice. Paid $ 18 for eyebrow waxing. Expected more for the price. Won’t be back for waxing.

A bit sloppy job. Troy was a little rude to me and he got bleach and color all over my 12 year old. It ruined her favorite shirt!

Last Thursday my daughter had a very poor experience with inadequate stylist who applied an ugly incomplete color when we went in for purple fashion highlights. When we returned there were misunderstandings about services and price and although they waived the additional charges, a woman who said she was the owner said that they would no longer service my family. It got ugly. Things wound up working out in the end and her hair is a perfect silky purple. The(male) owner called today to resolve lingering negative feelings and invited us to return. So a situation that began poorly and then became worse was totally resolved in a gracious and courteous manner. At the very least, these people care about their reputation and the owner is a true professional. Since it did take 2 trips, 4 hours and snarky behavior I am giving them 3 stars. Just be forewarned, I’ve been a client there for 7 years and when things went bad it took a lot of negotiation to correct.

I have been a loyal customer of Salon Azure Alcoa for several years even though the salon is one of the highest priced around. I really liked the color I received and the stylist that gave it to me, until recently. On two separate occasions, I was approximately five minutes late for my appointment. When this happened, I called and informed the salon and was advised that is was quite okay. Now, it isn’t, I guess. I was ask to put down a $ 50.00 deposit to get my appointment. I complained and ask if this was how a loyal customer was treated. I was advised that it was time to find another salon. I was under the impression that customers we to be treated with dignity and respect. Apparently salon azure in Alcoa has to many customers and really don’t care about the ones the have. So if you don‘t care if you are valued and treated with dignity and respect then by all means chose this overpriced location. If these things are important to you, then I suggest you look elsewhere. There are plenty of great stylists out there that would love to have you as a customer and would definitely threat you the way you deserve.

I made an appointment for a cut and was nervous because I was going from long(below the shoulders) to a pixie cut. Paul was my stylist and he did such a great job! He listened while I gave a detailed description of what I wanted and what my hair issues were. I really like the cut and have gotten so many compliments! The woman booking appointments that day also fit me in for an extra last minute request. Thanks very much for a great experience.

For the past four years while living in Tennessee I had the distinct pleasure of having Jennifer Timms as my colorist. Working in TV under studio lights, my hair has to look as good on camera as it does in person. Jennifer kept my mane looking stunning and healthy. She’s fabulous, I highly recommend her and the entire staff at Salon Azure.

This place is huge but a ripoff for guys. Literally $ 35 for a haircut that kind of sucked. I usually like the aveda salons but this missed the mark. Maybe it is better for women but if you are a man I would stay away. I’ve had haircuts in real cities at much nicer places that didn’t cost as much. Lame sauce

The men and women who work here are fantastic. I went to their salon for hair and make up for my bridal party, and couldn’t be happier. Jordan was fantastic to work with scheduling and did such beautiful make up. I really appreciated her knowledge and patience answering my questions. Jenny is absolutely amazing at hair updos. She’s quick, precise, and does great work. The rest of the 6+ staff who did updos for my bridesmaids were equally fantastic. I highly recommend working with the stylists at this salon.

In the land of strip malls, I found a small oasis. I needed a haircut. I’d had a bad day. I walked in off the street and had Jason Monday give me a decent and serviceable blunt cut for $ 35. Yes there was the free neck and scalp massage, and he did a treatment on my hair to reduce some of the color build up. He didn’t try to scold me for self-coloring or aggressively try to sell me more service/products. I really appreciated that, so I tipped him well. He invited me back for a free check-up of my cut in a week or so. I won’t be in town then, but I really liked the service I got at this Aveda salon. Too bad the ones in LA aren’t as friendly. One of the nicer things about my stay in Alcoa, TN.

I went here while on a business trip in Knoxville and while it is in a strip mall(AKA hell) the inside was really calm and peaceful. The help was friendly and prompt. I was even able to make an appointment for a wax with only a couple days notice. The waxing rooms were very nice and it was relatively painless(relative being the operative word!). The price was a little high but still reasonable. I’m betting that has to do with this particular service not being too common in these here parts. I would definitely recommend trying it out if you’re looking for a good waxing place in the Knoxville area.
