History
Established in 1989.
Dr. Paul Donovan, VMD, founded Alburtis Animal Hospital in Lead Alley in Alburtis, Pennsylvania, in 1989. Under Dr. Donovan’s leadership, the animal hospital grew to the point where Dr. Donovan moved the animal hospital down the street to its current location on North Main Street in Alburtis in 1999. Dr. Daniel M. Smith, DVM, joined Alburtis Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian in 2001. As Dr. Smith developed a loyal client following, Dr. Donovan transferred ownership of the animal hospital to Dr. Smith in January 2011. Dr. Donovan has remained and will remain at Alburtis Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian. Drs. Smith and Donovan look forward to maintaining current relationships with their clients and patients while developing new relationships in the coming years.
