Persistent billing issues. Sending charges to collection agencies after sending their billing statements to an incorrect address or sending to collections within a few days of billing, not allowing enough time for their bill to reach the customer. Same problem this week that I had with Zia in 2013. Calls for resolution must be made to Houston(there is no local billing office) and the Houston office has limited capacity to take calls and resolve issues because«our systems are slow.» This is Albuquerque Health Partners’ radiology service and should be avoided if possible.

I am disgusted by the way I have been treated by the billing department of Zia Diagnostic Imaging. I have an excellent credit rating, but they have treated me like a common criminal. I received a bill from them Mid July. The day after I received it, they were calling me looking for payment. I asked them why they were calling when I just got the bill, and they told me that it was just«a courtesy call». I thought that was harassment, but let it go. My husband lost his job, and I called them and told them that I would like to make a payment arrangement. I made it for mid August. I then paid, in full as promised in Mid August. The payment cleared my bank on August 19th. Last night, I opened the mail and had a collections letter for them. It is called«Business Revenue Systems». I got on the phone this morning and called. The woman that I first spoke with told me it wasn’t a collection agency, even though the letter clearly stated, «This communication is from a debt collection agency attempting to collect a debt.» I read that line to her and she said, «we just send that as our third letter, you are not in collections». She kept insisting that I got a statement in June, but I didn’t. She then told me that my online banking payment was showing a check number from the bank in the computer, but they hold it for 2 weeks until it clears. I then said to her, «so you see a check number, but you sent me to collections». She again corrected me that it wasn’t collections. I finally asked for a manager. I was put on the phone with Julie. She was nicer. I told her what the entire conversation was. She looked in the computer and told me she didn’t see a payment anywhere. Not even a check number. I thought that was strange. I gave her the name of my bank, and the online banking confirmation number. She said she will look into it and call me back. My account number with you is 210081. I told her that she needs to speak with whomever first answered the phone, and tell her that Business Revenue Systems is a collection agency, and not to treat people like they are stupid when the letter says that it is a collection agency. I am left feeling aggravated and insulted. I have worked hard to have good credit, and I feel like Zia Diagnostic Imaging has treated me like a criminal. If I had not been in touch with Zia Diagnostic Imaging, it would be one thing. But I feel like I have been harassed by receiving a phone call the day after I receive my first bill, and now this. I have called my bank and they are researching it. Zia Diagnostic Imaging might want to work on their customer service skills, because I am beside myself right now and feel like a criminal.
