XFINITY Store

I had a really difficult time getting my service set up over the phone. I’d called them three times and they informed me I would have to wait a week. Even with that quote, I still couldn’t get them to set up my account. Then I went to the Xfinity store, While the wait was a little long, the rep Albert D. was able to get my service set up the very next day. He contacted me the next day to make sure I was able to transfer my old phone number. While I had a little bit of a wait, it was way better than the phone call to Comcast and I was really impressed with the service I received. Kudos to Albert D. and his supervisor Chris S.

I have had horrible service ever since day one with this company! From day one, they mailed the wrong cable box for self install. I called before I even installed it, because it didn’t say DVR on the box… and I wanted to know if it was the right one. Twice they reassured me that it was the correct box, on two separate calls. However, on the third call, the person finally figured out it wasn’t. Since then, I’ve received the bill, after only one week… and they’ve over charged me. I spent at least 30 minutes explaining to the incompetent lady, Celine or Feline?, that my bill was wrong. She kept ignoring my questions and refused to let me speak to a manager. Every time I call, their sales people evade whatever the problem is and try to beat around the bush, while NOT fixing the problem. They don’t want you to speak to the manager for what ever reason. These people and this company desperately need to own up to their problems and step up their customer service… because it really sucks!!! I’m tired of feeling like big companies like this one don’t care that their service stinks. It’s companies like this that make me not want cable anymore!!!

There was a 20 minute wait when I came in to return a modem on a weekday at 4pm. It was somewhat organized. You come in through the door, they ask for your name and purpose of your visit, they put it in the tablet and tell you how long the wait is.
There were limited chairs scattered throughout the store. Most people were standing on the sides waiting.
Then you hear your name being yelled when its your turn.

Unbelievably slow. Just wanted to return my devices and it took me an hour standing there waiting in line.
How can they even claim themselves as high speed? They should quote themselves as XFINITY slow on their ad.

There always going down and very pricy they Been down now 4 days now. They keep telling people soon. Century link is even looking good with there crappy service also.

I really can’t understand why there isn’t a specific line for drop offs only. It’s abundantly clear that none of the staff care in the slightest about you, they are just making their money.
I understand that this is a business for profit, but you would think that with the amount of money they make from their customers for only slightly better than terrible service, they would invest some of it into making their customer service a little better.

Initially started by rating this place a 1 star due to receiving a busy signal during multiple attempts prior to coming to this place. I wanted to verify the location since Apple maps (that’s another story) showed 2 other locations when searching ‘comcast’. Upon arriving, I noticed alot of people waiting as described in previous comments below. I gave it 3 stars because although my experience was good I just returned equipment so I got taken care of quick, many people in that lobby stayed there for who knows how long. This corporation needs to invest more in personnel in this office because it serves a large population that isn’t getting its needs met in a timely matter. I’m sure this also creates alot of stress on the employees leading to poor retention rates. Kudos to the people working there currently I saw them making the best out of the waiting room situation.

Much like the MVD, this seems to be a place of eternal waiting. You walk in, provide your name and the reason for your visit and that’s when the fun begins. I spent approximately 40 minutes watching Men in Black on the big screen in the middle of the room and posting negative comments on facebook about my wasted lunch break.
Now, I have to say that the lady who helped me was very friendly but that’s not enough to outweigh the negative.

I know I’ve seen the prior reviews. but I had a guy come by my house and sold me on leaving dish because I could save a lot of money. well let me tell you. I would rather pay double to Dish than deal with comcast. don’t fall for the hype. Comcast sucks. I can’t get anyone to answer the phone when I need assistance. go figure. for anyone that is on the fence. DONT GO WITH COMCAST!!! I WILL GLADLY PAY OUT MY CONTRACT TO GET THESE FOOLS OUT OF MY HOUSE. the tech that installed the equipment. knew NOTHING! !!! He even said you can’t control your receiver with this remote. Guess he’s never seen YouTube. oh wait. he actually told us that he doesn’t have tv in his house because he couldn’t afford it. nice. maybe this guy will come rob my house now. thanks comcast!

unbelievable how poor the reviews are of them on here… just unbelievable. I couldn’t even get off the phone with the guy without wanting to throw up. all I wanted to know was the final out the door price, taxes and state fees etc. All he kept trying to do was to close me on an «order confirmation» so he could then «give me that final price»…wow. So much for customer friendly/​facing service. amazing. Sort of like passing a bill first to let everyone know what’s in it… lol. Guess I’ll wait for Direct to increase their speed, assuming that’s coming… God willing.

I’ll add to the lousy reviews. This is the worst service I’ve had since I used a 9600 baud modem. Seriously. Customer service is fine though clueless. Highly highly dissatisfied customer.
On modem number 4. They keep blaming my self-​install or «the lines» … as an IT guy I can tell you it is their junk modems. If you do use them, but your own. But, don’t use them.

I have had Comcast XFinity Service for 2 weeks now. I moved from Rio Rancho which is serviced by CableOne. I had always appreciated the customer and tech services before. I wish I could deal with them again because Comcast sucks!
I had the Xfinity box installed on 3÷16÷15. Immediately I had problems with the box freezing when trying to change channels, switch to on demand, etc. I had to reset the box and call tech services to «resignal» the box twice within 2 days. At several points the first week, the box actually asked ME to unplug it, wait 10 minutes, and plug it back in. Since I was watching the end of a good basketball game, I was highly upset and frustrated.
Because I was watching the NCAA basketball championships it gave me ample opportunity to notice the next problem: the Xfinity box wasn’t handling fast motion efficiently. The picture was beautiful as long as the camera didn’t pan in and out, or there was action on the court. Once the fast-​paced action began, the picture would snow and blur.
The first time I called Tech Services and explained the problem, it was agreed that it wasn’t a television problem or a broadcast problem. The tech and I both agreed it was a problem on Comcast’s or their equipment’s end.
Much to my frustration, the first tech who came to my house (Nick) said he wasn’t able (or wouldn’t acknowledge that he could) to see the distortion during fast action. Mind you, I’m not crazy, neither am I blind. With or without my glasses it was obvious I wasn’t getting good reception. After about 20 minutes of comparing a great picture by television and Blue-​ray to a funky picture on fast-​action, he stated he still couldn’t tell the difference but he would switchout the boxes. I suggested that he check the signal at the wall, the HDMI cable, the coaxial cables, and the splitter. He did none of this. He simply switched boxes and told me to call if there were any more problems. Changing boxes produced no change.
I called Tech services once more to schedule someone else to come out and check. The people on the phone were always quite pleasant and all told me without prompting that it was clearly an equipment problem.
The second tech (Ruben) came out on 3÷29÷15. He never introduced himself, came in with body language and attitude that said he didn’t want to be working on a Sunday. I explained the problem I was having and showed him the same examples I had shown his predecessor. He too stated he didn’t see what I was talking about. The picture wasn’t jerking or outright pixelating so he didn’t see the problem. After his first assessment, I increased the sharpness of the picture to enhance the problem. He still stated he couldn’t see the difference to which I replied that I couldn’t believe he couldn’t see it.
He then began to tell me that the reason the Blue-​Ray DVD was so clear is that it was recorded and edited to look good, and that all live-​action programming had problems with motion. I showed him the problem with a basketball game. The still shots and medium-​fast action was OK, but the action under the basket was clearly blurred, snowy, and grainy. At this point, he told me that I was being picky and it looked fine to him and whatever problem I was having with the picture no matter what he did it wouldn’t help, so therefore he wasn’t going to do anything.
Instead of saying, «Ma’am. I don’t see the problem, but lets take these steps to possibly help the situation,» he tried to make be seem unreasonable, crazy, and just stupid. We also discussed that the colors were bleeding so much the picture was blurring together. He stated that it was because of camera angles, and the cameras panning in and out.
He didn’t humor me as if I were crazy, dumb, or picky. He argued with me and pushed back so much I had to call my daughter and ask her to come over because his attitude was vexing me to no end. My daughter walked in and without speaking to either of us asked why the picture was so bad. Enough said? No, not for him. At that point, he treated both of us like we were crazy. I’m thinking, he is either lazy, really doesn’t know what to do and instead of admitting so, he decided to be intransigent and make me feel less than sane, or he has been watching Comcast’s bad reception so long he doesn’t know what good reception looks like. I didn’t take this well and the conversation escalated to the point where he raised his voice to me, said he was going outside to check something, and simply left!
After 10 minutes of his absence, I called Comcast and was advised that he had checked out of the job and continued to his next! all I could say was OK because Comcast has the monopoly on cable services in ABQ. Unilocal is nice but report complaints to BBB of ABQ (Comcast is NOT an accredited busines), and City of ABQ (

Added a 70 charge to my bill for sending out a tech when i moved to a new apartment. The cable wasn’t turned on from an outside box yet they expect that this is somehow my fault and i should pay for it. Called customer service and after explaining to the guy what was going on he puts me on hold for 10 minutes and comes back saying that they would remove the charge as a «one time courtesy». Bitch please. If i didn’t need to have Comcast i would drop them in a heartbeat.

Run the Other Way!!!
I have internet service with Comcast Xfinity and it’s pretty good.
The hitch is… they keep sending me TV equipment and bill me for that and service that I’VE NEVER ORDERED!!!
This has happened 2 times now. I called customer service & Ed would not put me through to a supervisor and wouldn’t correct the problem.
FAILURE TO CORRECT IN BAD FAITH.
The first time it happened a company supervisor took over an hour to get through the maze of Comcast’s crooked system. COME ON… can’t you all get business the honest way???
HOLD ON TO YOUR CREDIT REPORTS FOLKS BECAUSE THIS COMPANY WILL BILL YOU FOR WHAT YOU DIDN’T ORDER AND DON’T WANT. THEN THEY WILL SEND YOU TO COLLECTIONS FOR IT AND RUIN YOUR CREDIT

I went in to swap my ‘leased’ modem for one of my own. Not only did they fail to process my return, necessitating several followup calls to Comcast directly, but they failed to register my new modem on the network.
Pretty incompetent lot I’d have to say.

There aren’t enough pejoratives in the English language for these crooks.
They’re simply the worst at everything, from their service to their automated phone service to the actual connections of your cable and internet boxes to their ways of addressing customers’ concerns.
Oh wait, they are the best at a few things, such as ensnaring customers with seductive initial offers. They really do this well. They’re also the best at bumping up the price of your service every so often.
These guys operate like a monopoly, the price gouge, and they do it all shamelessly.
I opted to cancel my services today rather than pay an additional $ 70 that they’d simply tacked on with no explanation and then refused to remove.
Nope, their tactic for complaints is to try to suck you into new deals that they’ll dishonor somewhere down the road.
Avoid this criminal enterprise.

I would give zero stars if possible. I came here to return equipment, and I had to wait 35 minutes just to hand them a box. Then, after I had made it very clear that I had already canceled my service and had no interest in remaining a customer, the customer service guy was still trying to convince me to try all these different packages. I said I wasn’t interested, which didn’t stop him from explaining to me how my bill got to be higher after the promotional price expired, as if I were a moron.
Avoid this store, and this company. I’ve had nothing but terrible experiences with them, from start to finish.

Went in here to return some equipment for a friend. No, I’m not a Comcast customer. I’ve heard too many bad things. Anyway, it’s a Saturday afternoon. The weather outside is amazing. So, I figure that there won’t be too many people in the store. Wrong! Not only are there like 20 customers in the place, the Comcast folks have decided to set up their store like the DMV with 12 numbered stations and a computer screen alerting you when your turn is up. Ok, that’s not bad, except that they only have 3 of the 12 stations manned. I wait. Everyone else does too. Customers are generally pretty pissed off. In reality, it took about 30 minutes to make it to the front of the line. I returned the stuff and got a receipt. The employee was nice, though I’m not a big fan of the sales pitch when he asked if I was a Comcast customer.
On the plus side, the iPads they had out for people to use and the Food Network playing on the big screen made the time pass nicely.
