Turning Point Recovery Center is a private outpatient treatment center dedicated to the treatment of addiction. We provide Alcohol and Opiate Detox, Intensive Outpatient Program Treatment, Individual Counseling, EMDR (helps with trauma), and Interventions.

History

Established in 2010.

Turning Point was founded in 2010 by Paul Tucker, a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor and businessman. Paul formerly founded and operated Focused Recovery of New Mexico from 1997 to 2006. Focused Recovery was a successful rehab center which later became The Right Step. Turning Point Recovery Center was founded as a high quality, multi-​faceted, medically supported, abstinence based treatment center and has successfully served over one thousand clients. Turning Point has also recently added an Inpatient, residential Detox treatment house, and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for Medicaid clients, which bears the original Focused Recovery name.

Business Owner

Paul has been an integral fixture of the Albuquerque treatment community for the past 15 years. His passion for helping others has found its focus in the treatment of chemical dependency. Paul became an Intensive Outpatient Program Specialist through 15 years of occupational experience in Inpatient and Outpatient settings.
