Stopped by on our way out after Unilocaling it. Great bagels and coffee! Liked the cozy, relaxed setting.

I really like this place. The crepes and coffee are fantastic. The service is friendly and the atmosphere while a little cramped, is laid back and nice. The prices aren’t great, considering the portions, but they are fair. The breakfast burrito crêpe is excellent especially with red chile. I just wish you could order with bacon or sausage, to my knowledge they don’t don’t serve meat. Maybe someday…

This place is great, when you go, you must order the lemon mascarpone crêpes, Mmmmm mm, dêlicieux! My cappuccino was a delightful sight presented with a lovely Rosetta, not forgetting to mention tasty as well. Ooooooo, you know what’s great about having children, you get to try their food too, my sons mocha was superb! Visit and support this local jewel.

First of all… delish and the smell walking up to the place is out of this world. Cute little place off of mountain. In one of my favorite hoods. Amazing guy behind the counter. Talked about coffee and new place to try. So coffee. Good selection and has everything gor the coffee snob to a newbie. Then the food. I went with the not Mc muffin. Get it. Amaze balls. My friend got the breakfast crêpe and I was jealous. Not really after I finish my food but it looks amazing and will try it next time. If you are looking for a hole in a wall awesome local place. Try it. It’s worth trying to find parking. You won’t be sad!

The«Not Mcmuffin» is delicious, I find myself craving it. Coffee is consistently yummy, albeit, fairly over-priced :-/but a business has to keep itself afloat and they seem to have a steady stream of foot traffic.

Great coffee. Anericanos. And buy anything baked by Jacob. He makes the best quiche I’ve ever had. Ever. Anywhere. The Not McMuffin is incredible.

A goose and a dove in a cage? I don’t know if I was still hungover from the night before but I had to do a double take to make sure I was seeing that right. The place is pretty small but they have a good selection of coffee drinks you can get. From cold to hot. They serve all types of crepes. They aren’t your typical sweet crepes. I ordered the Albuquerque turkey crêpe. It’s made with turkey, avocado, tomatoes, cheddar cheese and smothered with your choice of chile. My brother got the burrito crêpe that looked really good. Definitely will come back again and try the other crepes they have. Maybe next time I’ll take a photo of the goose.

The not mcmuffin and an aero press with Ethiopian. Great service, great coffee and great tasting food. Small place with outside seating. Parking is curbside and limited but I found parking almost in front. I’m from out of town but probs a great place for cyclists and walkers. Books and some board games for your use. Good verity of brew methods.

I had the burrito crêpe and it was everything I dreamed. Big, fresh and wrapped in a friggin crêpe! I also had a coffee with a shot. No need for crème and sugar it tasted just right. Will definitely be back.

I live in the general area and like supporting local businesses. Nice location and they keep improving their look and seating. The breakfast crêpe I had one time was OK. .. great green chile but lacking in tastiness otherwise and with no salt to be found inside or out of the establishment. Very generous serving, though. The slight sweetness of the crêpe for me does not go well with eggs. Will try something else next time. Their dessert items are super! I like the staff as well.

Fantastic! I was in town for a friend’s wedding and wanted breakfast. We found this place not too far away. My wife and I each ordered an omelet and a coffee. The weather was perfect for sitting out on their patio. I could have enjoyed that place all day. Oh, and get some pie!

Abq, Local, N.M. Shop and Staff The location has a nice neighborhood setting. A busy street close by, and lots of people walking, and running down the sidewalk. The outdoor seating is very nice, and has shade covering. The only large table good for 2 or more is inside the shop, but the tables outside are movable. The inside is very clean, and very small. The shop keeper is very nice. The parking is street side. Food and Experience I ordered the mocha expresso, and the banana, nutella crêpe. The expresso was perfect. Had a strong coffee flavor, and a light mocha flavor. Just what I wanted. The crêpe is big enough for two unless you love crepes then you would be fully satisfied with having one all for yourself. I will definitely order another crêpe next time I come. A great place to hangout, and enjoy the noise of people, and cars passing by.

Very cool community minded owners. Crepes are fabulous! Gluten free really is gluten free. Can’t speak highly enough of this cool little shop.

Cute, charming, friendly staff, best Chai I’ve ever had. An oasis in a stressful world! All their food comes in a crêpe, rather than a tortilla. I’m not big on crepes, so I had a bagel with cream cheese. If I liked crepes, I would have had the Nutella and strawberry one. Yum. Go for the Chai or coffee. … get a crêpe, you won’t be disappointed.

There aren’t a lot of people that will take the liberty of turning off your bike light for you… I would know — I leave mine on literally every where I go(loyal fan of rechargeable batteries). But the friendly gentleman working here did just that! …now if only I could get this guy to follow me everywhere… ;) I ride my bike by this place all the time, and I finally stopped in(bike rack right out front, where you can keep an eye on it from anywhere you sit). The patio is the cutest! Very cozy atmosphere, even being right on Mountain road. My latte was delicious, crafted with care right in front of me. I also had a slice of delicious rhubarb pie. I’m a huge fan of rhubarb when paired with a sweeter fruit… but I wasn’t convinced of its merit alone until today. I loved how neither the latte nor the pie was overloaded with sugar. It seems these days coffee shops are overloading our senses with fancy pants Frappuccinos and Macchiatos infused with caramels and chocolates and gobs of chemically produced flavorings that render the fact that you ordered coffee utterly forgettable. There’s something to be appreciated in the simplicity of good coffee… maybe its the fact that you can taste the actual coffee. Granted, I’ve only had the latte here, but rest assured I’ll be back for more and to try other delicious hot beverages… and to use the WiFi!

Husband, dog and I went down Sunday morning for breakfast. It was chilly outside, sure, but we bundled up and got a table in the sun. I had a fabulous spinach feta crêpe with some balsamic, and hubby had a garden turkey crêpe with lots of delicious red chile. The coffee was outstanding. The guy inside making the food was one of the nicest people I’ve met in ages, and I enjoyed hearing about his travels. In short: outstanding meal. Now, a warning. While we were sitting at the table outside a couple of neighborhood dogs wandered up and crossed Mountain to mooch from us. Our dog wents freaking nuts — she gets along okay with good dogs but she has a bias against dogs that appear to be strays. We handled it, but those dogs continued their morning walk and 2 folks who were out walking their own dogs had a heck of a time trying to shoo away the ones running wild. And here’s the annyoing part — it became clear that those two dogs lived about 4 or 5 houses up the street, I know because I walked up there, and the owners just leave the gate open and let them roam around likes its no big deal. Hey! It’s a big freaking deal. What a douchy neighbor, and its not just annoying, its unsafe. I read a news article this morning about pets being snatched for use as bait dogs in dog fighting operations. The mayor has an offered an award, that’s how serious it is. If you go to Boiler Monkey, and you should!, be wary of the strays if you are there with your own dog. And don’t feed these two moochers — it just encourages them to wander around looking for handouts.

A nice little spot for a coffee. They did have some crepes that looked very appetizing and we might have to stop again to try them. The patio is quite and we were able to relax with our dogs.

I am so glad this building is once again a coffee shop! Not only do they serve great organic coffee, they have the most unique(delicious) pie selection. If you’re extra hungry order a crêpe too. The burrito and farm are my favorite. I’d pass on the lemon butter with mascarpone, not enough flavor variation. My favorite pie so far is the pumpkin with red chile spiced pepitas. The downside as the weather gets cold, there isn’t a lot of indoor seating. Great place to stop in and grab coffee on your way to work though.

This place serves up an incredible green chile apple pie. No, no, I don’t think you heard me. This café, the Boiler Monkey Bistro, offers slices of my favorite dessert the world over: green chile apple pie. This minor triumph of epic proportion is a true revelation for me. For many, many years now I’ve mentioned the fabled dessert during the infamous New Mexican chile conversation. You know how that goes, it’s the equivalent to Midwestern weather discussions. Out here we don’t have much weather, so we talk about chile. A lot. About how we had incredible red chile the other night at such-and-such, or how that one chile roasting stand down the street is the best in town, or how Chimayo grows the best chile in the state. We talk chile all the time, and when we talk about how chile manages to work in virtually every cuisine on the planet, from sushi to alfredo sauce, that’s when I feel compelled to talk about how I had green chile apple pie one time, years ago, and it was a match made in foodie heaven. They have it here. It’s made by the pastry chef from High Finance. It’s the bomb dot com. They also have a blueberry goat cheese pie, and a cherry pie with Nutella. Uh huh. You’re so going to come to this place. Bookmark it already. This place also offers homemade crepes, artisan teas and coffees(De La Paz out of SF, drip by Prosum, a local), and one of the cutest damn café environments in the city. Two downers: it can be noisy outside(thanks to Mountain road), and currently it ain’t open late enough. Wondering where the awesome magic and personality of the food truck went? Here it is. With plenty of vitamin C.
