History

Established in 1996.

Having trained at Talisman Restoration in California, and having worked for 10 years in the Bay Area, New Orleans and Santa Fe, Rufus Cohen founded Textival in 1996 to raise the bar on rug services in New Mexico and beyond. Over the past 20 years we have become one of the nation’s top resources for Navajo rug washing and restoration, as well as a vital service to dealers, collectors, designers and homeowners in Santa Fe and Albuquerque.
