History
Established in 1971.
Owner and CEO Larry Garcia started this business with his brothers in 1971 and opened up their first store called Mr. Casual in the Eastdale Shopping Center. At the time, the product mix featured was men’s casual wear, denims, and some leasurewear. In the 1980’s they consolidated their stores into the larger location of Coronado Mall. The product mix began shifting to power suits, dress shirts, and suit accessories. Casual wear was still very abundant in store, however, Suits Unlimited was added to the name to incorporate more what the store began to carry. The three brothers continuously worked together to make it a great business that was locally owned and family operated and served the customer with up-most perfection. In 1992, the brothers Garcia moved out of Coronado to a free standing location on Menaul Blvd. just two blocks east of San Mateo. It is here where we are now Suits Unlimited and provide the most quality service and menswear products to the New Mexico area.

Business Owner
Larry Garcia, a native New Mexican, has been operating Suits Unlimited (formerly Mr. Casual) since February of 1971. As a man who has seen over 40 years of New Mexico politics in the business sector, he feels it is his duty to help others, like himself, grow in their industry with beneficial involvement from government. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1955 and was honorably discharged after 14 years of both regular and reserve service. Larry is also a long time member of the New Mexico Retail Association, which is an informative association that concentrates on legislation that effects retail operations. He is also involved in the Albuquerque Small Business Regulatory Advisory Commission, which is a committee that seeks to find alternative regulatory approaches to minimize the costs and burdens on small business without compromising the health, safety and economic welfare of the City.
