I’ve driven by this location many times but finally decided to stop in. I was hungry as hell and had little time. Like most subways, it was a pretty efficient experience. I was in. I was out. I ate a flatizza. My belly was full. The girls behind the counter were very nice and therefore I left them a tip. Thank god subway employees don’t break out in song and dance when you tip them. I did feel guilty for not going to the co-op but maybe I will next time. While I was sitting here eating my flatizza, I wondered how much weight Jared could gain back eating these things everyday. Just sayin

First, a few words of local wisdom: the Co-op next door makes a bevy of sandwiches with locally-sourced ingredients. Really great sandwiches. They’re around the same price point, too. Alas, there I go reminiscing about my childless days again… I’m the proud parent of a teenager, a girl as it happens, and she’s not too keen on the healthy eating gig. Which isn’t to say that Subway is unhealthy, not at all, in fact I’m quite cool with this fast food choice considering the options. So when the kid has a hunger hankering and I’m not up for cooking we often come to this spot, and my experiences have always been worthy of the chain’s aspirations. I won’t go into a long description of the food, and I surely hope you don’t need one, because that would mean their advertising executives have done a horrible job. I will comment that while Subway does promote and indeed provide an impressive selection of options for your sammy, they really fail in the bread and cheese department, which happen to be the most crucial elements of the whole sandwich operation. I’ll comment only on the experience itself, which was terrific again last night. The teenagers working behind the counter were nice kids(wow! I’m such an old dude!) and I really appreciated the prompt service. I enjoyed watching one of them show the other the best technique for folding flatbread, it was something of an artistic moment, and I commented as much. We were well accommodated for and I nearly left a tip, but then I caught one of them totally checking out my daughter, and I had to hold myself back from pulling the kid meowtside and stuffing his face with something other than food.
