New Mexico’s premier acting school, providing full service training and acting classes for kids, youth and adults from your first acting class to the Red Carpet.

Our community begins with classes and private lessons for adults, youth and children in a fun, supportive, and challenging atmosphere where personal and artistic growth go hand-​in-​hand. It grows out from our studio into the community at large, with students creating their own work, being cast in local theater productions and independent films, all the way to scoring speaking roles on televisions shows like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Longmire, The Night Shift, The Messengers, Dig as well as countless Hollywood studio films.

Sol offers the best quality acting classes and personal coaching for kids, youth and adults who are excited to explore, imagine and create from beginners to professionals!

History

Established in 2009.

Vivian Nesbitt began teaching at Sol in 2011, developing the professional actor training program for adults. She purchased Sol Acting Academy from the founder Laura Mathis in 2012.

Meet the Business Owner

Vivian N.

Business Owner

Vivian has been teaching and working as an actor in theater, television and film for over 25 years. A third generation actor, Vivian’s grandparents and great aunt, Cathleen Nesbitt, appeared on Broadway and the West End in London as well as countless feature films. After receiving her MFA in Acting in 1992, Vivian moved to New York City to join the family business where she appeared in notable theaters such as The George Street Playhouse, Pittsburgh Public Theater, as well as many productions of summer stock and Shakespeare.

Vivian appeared on Law & Order: SVU’s première episode, and opposite three time Emmy Award winner Bryan Cranston in Breaking Bad, as well as Longmire, Manhattan, The Messengers, In Plain Sight and more. She has won awards for her work as a writer and actor.
