We create unique, one of a kind items. My son makes earrings and key chains/zipper pulls from semi precious stones like, turquoise and coral also shell, glass and paper beads from Uganda.
I paint and decorate bird houses for out door use. I am also a photographer and enjoy framing my floral photos and making digital photographic art. From the photos I sell one of a kind shopping totes, coasters, stainless steel water bottles and more.
I have expanded my business and added Autism Spectrum Resource. I make weighted blankets, collars and lap pads. Also, fidgets, warming collars/bed buddies and more.
History
Established in 2004.
I started out my business appliqueing shirts for men, women and children. As the years have passed, my business has progressed to photography. I sell framed floral photos; stainless steel water bottles, totes, coaster and more with my original floral photos on them. I also paint and decorate birdhouses that can be used outside.
My son joined me along the way: The Bead Boy. He started out selling his origami folds and origami decorations. He is now making unique, one of a kind earrings, key chains/zipper pulls/purse decorations all with semi-precious stones, glass, shell and paper beads from Uganda.
This last year I have branched out and added Autism Spectrum Resource. Many children on the spectrum have sensory problems and find that weight can be very soothing for them so, I started making weighted blankets, lap pads and collars. I also make fidgets, heating collars/bed buddies and more.
At present we are selling our merchandise from The Little Shops on Rio Grande.
Meet the Business Owner
Robin F.
Business Owner
I have always enjoyed the planning and execution of my craft ideas. I started out appliqueing shirts and moved on from there. I would sell my shirts at craft shows and other venues. My son loved going to the craft shows with me and wanted to sell something, as well. When he was 8 – 9, he started out by doing Origami folds and selling them. He would do custom folds for people and even taught some lessons to other children. It seemed like he sold more pieces than any one. The other vendors loved to watch him and always encouraged him. As the years progressed, he has added making unique one of a kind jewelry. He still enjoys what he makes and loves selling at different venues.
