Riverwalk / La Paz

Wonderful location, relaxing and quiet. Worked with Ashley, she was amazing from the moment she started helping us. She was patient on our many visits and always answered our questions. Decided on this apartment because of the many options for lease terms, floor plans and amenities.

To be honest, I don’t know why people have complained about front desk and management. Anytime I went in to the office to fill up my laundry card, everyone greeted me right away and was always friendly! If I had an issue, which mainly had to do with maintenance, they always addressed the problem without any attitude or delays on fixing the problem. Now that I think about it, I never really had an issue here. I live on the Riverwalk side which isn’t the newer side so the appliances were a bit older but they all worked well, which is what matters. I enjoyed the area where the complex is located, everything is literally five minutes away. Also really near the Corrales Bosque trail which I enjoyed running in the mornings. I enjoyed my year here, and my family enjoyed it too when they would visit. If I didn’t have to move, I would’ve renewed my lease. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

I have been living at RiverWalk Puerta de Corrales apartments for over 1 — ½ years and just extended my lease for another year. The apartments are nice and roomy with large master bedrooms. All apartments have a patio and some have storage areas. The courtyards and surrounding areas are green with grass, shady trees, and shrubs. It’s so nice to walk out my door and not see asphalt and cars. There are two pool areas that are always clean and kept secured from the public. Pool areas have nicely furnished cabanas and each have two big gas grills you can access anytime. The pools are monitored during the day and evening to keep it safe quiet and secure. Some apartments have washer and dryers and there are 2 laundry facilities here. There are also to workout areas too.
The staff is very friendly, responsive and have always provided great customer service. They are quick to turn in your work orders to fix repairs. Maintenance staff are hardworking and usually there same day or early next day. Residents are also very friendly and get together to sit in the courtyards with their cute little dogs. There are over a dozen eateries and shops within walking distance. Flying Star, Il Vecino’s, Freddy’s, Chipolte’s, Sprouts Market just to name a few. There is a Starbucks close by too. With the beautiful weather here many times I leave the car at home and walk to go out to eat or do my shopping or go for walks at the various walking trails. The Abq. Bus Transit station is nearby if you would like to use public transportation. I like having both the urban and rural surroundings.
One of the best apartment areas to live at. Don’t let a few bad reviews some people have written keep you from coming to visit. I have not experienced anything they have mentioned. They probably are difficult people and wouldn’t be happy anywhere. More of the satisfied and happy residents should take the time to write a review instead of telling me how happy they are here.

This used to be a nice place. After over 3 years, I have had enough.
The pool is supposed to close at 10pm but no one enforces it and there are drunken parties out there all night long. Management said they can only tell me to call security when the noise gets out of hand. They won’t do anything to prevent it, like lock the pool up at 10 pm. I’ve called seven times in the last three weeks.
People leave bags of kitchen garbage outside their front doors for days on end. Classy.
I have seen parents allow their kids to pee into the landscaping at the main pool rather than walk the 10 yards to the restroom AT the pool. Also classy.
The place is turning into a trailer park. DO NOT LIVE HERE.

I agree with the gentleman below, nice location but terrible, terrible management. The manager is rude and if helping you inconveniences her, forget about it. The office staff are nice but ignorant and have no idea how to interact with people or do their job. The apartment was dirty, the carpet gross, and overall cheaply made.

Nice apartment for a fair price. The community has many sizes and options for an apartment; studios, 1 and 2 bedrooms and you can choose to have a fireplace and washer and dryer or not to; all price dependent of course. The washer and dryers are full size (not stackable) so they are worth the few extra bucks and being able to do your laundry on your own schedule!
The community is quiet with two pools, a nice size workout room, laundry room (if needed), front office with coffee and cookies almost all the time and there is plenty of parking. The front office staff for the most part are helpful, informative and super nice, except for one woman who is completely clueless and should probably try a new career outside of customer service.
The apartments are clean with some updates (I had one with a new stove, fridge and microwave, the dishwasher was pretty old but worked). Also the apartment has central air. The cabinets are older but that was fine for me since its just a rental and there is tons of cabinet space but only one closet in a one bedroom apartment; no linen closet or no front coat closet but the bedroom closet is a walk-​in. The security company that works for La Paz is slow to answer a call. We made a noise complaint (loud base music at 2 am on weekdays) and they didn’t arrive for 45 minutes. The security company was rarely seen around the property. Thankfully there was little need for them to be around.
There was one issue with cockroaches which was minimal even though they spray every apartment, every one or two months as a preventative measure. We are extremely clean people who never leave trash out and clean weekly. Over our one year lease we probably killed/​found 20+ bugs. They were usually dead already due to the spraying and the front desk even said they found a few in their office.
Overall La Paz is a good community. It is close to lots if food, shopping and fairly close to the highway. I would recommend this it to anyone.

Nice location, nice grounds, HORRIBLE management. And NALS, the property management company has ignored my pleas to help me with the community manager. I’ve spent the 4 weeks I’ve lived here trying to get working Air Conditioning. The community manager is nice, but she can’t get anything done properly. They gave me a checklist when I moved in of things to check, and I filled the list with problems. All of the appliances are ancient, and they just paint over the rust. Their maintenance doesn’t return calls. The office is often locked during their office hours. I’ve been here one month and it’s been the most aggrivating experience I’ve ever had with an apartment that I give a large portion of my income to live in. I wish I had a method to give them the trouble they’ve given me.
