Very unhappy with the work. They are nice but did not do a good job repairing my BMW. I spent over $ 5,000 in repairs and my vehicle still did not run right. Do not recommend at all.

We got a flat on the highway and after reading Unilocal reviews about this place, we decided to try them out. Nate and the guys patched our tire for $ 25 and didn’t try to sell us a new one if it wasn’t necessary. They were honest and fast. It was my mom and I, and my kids so I just wanted a place that wasn’t going to take advantage of us.
They were great and I highly recommend!

What a breath of fresh air this place is. Blew a tire on an RV trip while passing through town late last night. Spent the night in their parking lot. When I woke up at just after 7 am, (they open at 8), their doors were already open and they took me right in. No hassle at all from them about my parking (and blocking the bay doors) on their lot overnight. Service manager Nate greeted me warmly. Mechanic Will fixed the tire in no time at a fair price. They seem to have a very honest and upbeat culture at Old Town Tire. A nice model for the industry. Thanks, guys.

We have an old Suburu outback. They have always diagnosed the problem correctly the first time, communicated promptly and transparently about prices, and talked us through various options to help us decide what to get done. They have ordered special parts for us and they always call right away when things come in or when the car is ready. As a woman, I also have always felt respected here. One of the best mechanics we have worked with — and we have visited many for help with various old cars over the years!

Over the years, I’ve found myself stating the following expression over and over again to the professionals at Old Town Tire & Auto: «That’ll work». Note this expression isn’t present or post-​tense, it isn’t that I’m saying this during or after the repair, this is a prior-​to statement. This is because OTT&A always carefully explains what they’ve determined, how it should be fixed, how long it will take and how much it will cost before they touch the vehicle. There’s another dimension to «That’ll work», I’ll get to it in a moment.
I brought both of our vehicles into the shop recently. I was going rather insane, actually. The brakes were squealing, both of them, and I knew repairs and replacements could go into the thousands, and naturally I’d avoided this confrontation for a while. Eventually sanity took the reigns, since I knew a little problem could turn into something huge soon.
After inspection, the shop contacted me to report that both sets of brakes were actually fine. The rotors were a little out of alignment on one vehicle and the other just needed a good spray and scrub to remove some debris. Before they did the minor repairs and changed the oil, they gave me estimates on the extent of the total damage, less than $ 200. My response? «That’ll work.»
So I love these guys, I trust them completely, I can tell they understand that while you might turn a fast buck blowing smoke up the behind of an unsuspecting and uneducated customer, only honesty builds customer loyalty. They have my loyalty.
Now, one more thing about «That’ll work». We own a 2002 Corolla. It ain’t getting any younger. It’s reliable. I don’t put much manhood into what I drive, I don’t need to. It gets me where I need to go. It also happens to have a busted driver-​side mirror. The casing is cracked as well. Not my fault, but there it is. I asked the owner of OTT&A to check it out. He reported that the wiring inside was disconnected, but he managed to get it put back together by hand. The mirror could be replaced. The casing was another story. To repair to original condition would involve replacing the piece, which would be expensive, OR (I love it when they throw in the «or») he could use a little glue, set it back in place and make it look «just fine» at a fraction of the cost. It was up to me, but he recommended option two. Y’know what I said to him?
«That’ll work.»

A few weeks ago my mom and I began the drive across country from the West to the East coast. From point A to point B we were looking at a 40 hour drive estimating about 2,800 miles. Ten hours into the drive we stopped in Albuquerque, New Mexico to spend the night. When we woke up in the morning we noticed that my brake light was on. This was very alarming to me, with so far to go, so we opted to find the closest repair shop to hopefully fix the problem. Almost miraculously, the first sign we saw said «Free Brake Inspection.»
From the moment we arrived we were greeted with exceptional hospitality and warm smiles. Usually when I walk into an auto body shop the energy feels cold and as a young female (who knows little about how cars work) I naturally feel out of place. But, this was a different, more pleasant experience. I was greeted by two lovely ladies and they made me feel welcomed.
They assured me that they would figure out the problem and told me it may take an hour. One of the receptionists, who I believe is named Veronica, volunteered to give us a ride to town so we didn’t have to sit in the shop and wait!
First of all, I don’t ever recall being at a business and it feeling like a family in the way that this shop did. The best part about it was that I was recently coming from Vegas where you couldn’t PAY me to get in the car of a stranger, so the fact that I agreed with little hesitation speaks volumes of how genuine these people were. Also, I was raised in a small town with small businesses and never in my life has anyone been so generous to a customer. Veronica dropped us off and when we were done exploring a few hours later, she picked us back up.
Now, THAT, is good customer service. I can’t emphasize enough how this business made us feel like we were part of their family.
The mechanic who worked on my car, who I believe is the owner of the shop, was just as kind and warm hearted. I wish I remembered his name! He explained to me that I was just low on brake fluid and he fixed the problem, FREE OF CHARGE!
Although this great group of people were just doing their jobs, their purpose was bigger in my eyes. They fixed my car, but also made us feel supported and cared for as we embarked on a big journey ahead of us.
When looking for a mechanic, I think the biggest issue we as customers have is finding someone we can trust and someone who will get the job done. Old Town Tire & Automotive has it all.

It’s nice to find a good car repair business. Recently, my wife and I spent a night in Albuquerque as we were traveling cross country. As luck would have it, Albuquerque was in a deep freeze and our 6-​year old car battery was not up to the challenge. After checking in and unloading our suitcase, we tried to drive to dinner and the car wouldn’t start; so, we walked (even when it’s cold, you have to eat). And, to our surprise, right next door to the hotel where we were staying was Old Town Tire and Automotive. We went to the door to see what time they opened in the morning and, again to our surprise (it was after 6 PM), the owner Alex was still there. We explained our problem and told him that we needed to be on the road first thing in the morning. He told us that he would need to get the battery; but, that he’d have it in at 8 in the morning when he opened. So, at 8 sharp the next morning, he sent an employee over to jump start our car and we drove it over to his shop. His tech replaced the battery and we were on the road by 8:45. Alex charged us a reasonable price for the battery and install and he didn’t charge us for the service call to jump start the car. And, to top it off, he replaced the rear windshield wiper blade; because, he said it wasn’t doing a good job. AND, he didn’t charge us for the wiper blade. Thank you Alex.
